FoodPress - A Recipe & Food Blog WordPress Theme

i also can get slider to work with ‘cat’ => get_option(‘fp_slider_tags’) but not with ‘tag’.....any ideas??.....ive sent in a ticket….no reply yet…:(

Hello, I download your theme this morning and received the following error message after trying to activate the theme. Now I cannot access my wordpress blog. Please give me guidance on what I should do next.

How can I change the fonts? I see them in the CSS file, is the font a google webfont or does it install as part of the template? If I want to change the font, what’s the process?

If anyone in the community can answer the following from my request to the developer any faster, I’d appreciate it. Thanks in advance:

1) My logo is is hanging down into my menu bar. How do I adjust the height of this? I can redesign the logo, but used the dimensions the template had.

2) How can I slide my menu bar titles to the left so that I can fit more? This may have something to do with the logo question above.

3) What are the best image dimensions to use to best optimize the site performance, and fit nicely into all your frames? I’ve loaded pictures, and sometimes they are too small for the featured slider, but fit nicely in the below recipe.

4) How can I just load some images into the slider without showing up in the recipes below? I understand I can just give them a tag for the slider, but I don’t want them to show up anywhere else.

I’m just putting together site, so there’s not a ton of content there, but is www.cookingjournals.com.

I am experiencing numerous issues with this theme [the inability to add a child theme; unable to add individual posts to custom menus].

Like most everyone else who is posting to this forum, the support is lacking. I have gone to the support url for this theme and there just isn’t much substance there to assist folks in the questions that keep being asked over and over. And yes, I have submitted a couple of tickets that have not been answered.

It is a beautiful theme, but seems to have some problems that would require a lot of time to fix.

@kacordova – I had a couple issues with some of the same things, however I am married to a web developer so he helped me out…

1. To adjust the white header wrapper so you can fit and center your logo go to: Appearance > Editor, Under /* Header Styles */ find #header-wrapper and you can adjust the height there. (I have mine at 137px) Warning: I would be sure to either copy and paste the original css somewhere in case you mess something up and need to go back to the original. And when you are editing this code be careful not to change anything else!

2. I am not sure.

3. I found that 620×300 works great. It fits the slider perfectly and crops well in the other places. Also found that making all of my featured images the same size looks best.

4. I really don’t know if you can do that. Maybe try to make the post private? However I am pretty sure that won’t work.
