Hello, I have a problem with the appearance of the products comparison list. The greek characters are broken.
Check the image at this link
By default greek characters are not enabled in Google fonts. After next update of Fortis (in a few days) you will be able to choose which character sets (such as greek, cyrillic, vietnamese etc) you want to enable for your Google fonts. For now you would need to edit the string which loads Google fonts in app/design/frontend/fortis/default/template/page/html/head.phtml:
And I have problem only on products comparison list? All the other site the letters look fine…
I have just change it to
echo $fontWeight; echo $charSubset; ?>' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css' />
but still have problem.
If you want to just add greek characters, then replace this line in head.phtml:
$charSubset = '&subset=latin';
$charSubset = '&subset=latin,greek';
I have just changed the line ( http://cl.ly/image/0Z1S2z2H1f0B ) but the problem with the products comparison list remains the same.
1. Flush the cache after making this change. And the field “Character Set: Latin Extended” in Theme Design > Font has to be disabled.
2. Not all google fonts support greek characters, I don’t know what font you are using.
As it was said before, after next update of Fortis you will be able to choose additional character sets in theme admin panel.
Quick question. We are getting lots of errors with the helper class missing. I this an easy fix?
Message about missing classes means that not all theme files were uploaded or you hadn’t disabled Magento’s Compilation Mode before you installed the theme. Please strictly follow installation instruction, Magento needs to be prepared properly before you install anything.
As this theme uses a custom.css etc is there any issues or files I need to exclude from minifying with Fooman Speedster extension? Thanks in advance…
I don’t think you need to exclude any CSS from minifying, but it’s better to ask authors of Speedster, we’re unable to provide support for third-party extensions.
Hello, with this theme, is it possible to change or hide the “Availibility: In Stock /Out of Stock from the product detail page?
It will be possible after next theme update (in a few days), this option was added in Magneto 184.108.40.206.
I probable missed it in the User Guide or in 1 of the 100 pages with questions but how do i align the add to cart buttons in the Featured Products Slider and the New Products blocks on the homepage?
See this screenshot for info: http://www.driven2shine.eu/Align.jpg
There’s no setting to align buttons there, but we’re planning to improve this element in future releases. Although you can hide buttons in sliders using proper parameter (described in the user guide) if you want.
I know how to hide the button and that’s what i did for now but i hope it will be solved in future updates. Will it be fixed in the next update maybe?
We’re working on it, but unfortunately no ETA yet.
Hi i just upgraded to 2.3.0 but no sign of aligning the add to cart buttons in the featured and new product sliders. Is there an ETA yet maybe?
Hello. Where or how can I disable the “movement” animation or transition from main menu when you hover a category link. Thanks for your response.
I’m not sure what “movement” you meant, please clarify a little bit.
Ok. In your demo 1, when you move your mouse pointer over WOMAN category at main menu, a white background appears and the word WOMAN moves a little down in the transition. If you move your mouse to other place, the word WOMAN moves back to it´s original place without the white tab.
It can’t be disabled anywhere in the admin, to remove that effect you would need to customize the CSS of the menu.
Hello. Could you tell me what css class in what css file do I have to edit. I´ve tried megamenu and classic menu css files without success.
Check file override-modules.css. To find out which part of CSS you need to extend or override you can use Firebug (add-on for Firefox: http://getfirebug.com/ and http://getfirebug.com/video/Intro2FB.mp4 ) or other similar tool.
Hi, the template is great, but with little problem.
First validator detects an error, here is a listing:
Second I need two kinds of colors prices. All I need gray and prices in detail the product needs to be colored red. How can I achieve this?
Thank you for your reply and your time. Regards Lukas.
Issue listed by validator is already in the upcoming update but thank you very much for reporting.
Regarding price color – when you want to make some non-standard design changes (for which you can’t find settings in theme admin panel), you can do it by adding custom CSS. Enable additional CSS file custom.css in which you can override or extend the default styles of the theme. All the CSS styles placed in this file will not be lost after upgrading the theme in the future. For more details about theme customization please refer to the user guide, chapters 5. Customization and 5.1.2 Override default CSS styles.

I’m getting this error on the product pages:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare getImgUrl() (previously declared in /home/www/xyz/htdocs/app/design/frontend/fortis/default/template/infortis/cloudzoom/catalog/product/view/media.phtml:41) in /home/www/xyz/htdocs/app/design/frontend/fortis/default/template/infortis/cloudzoom/catalog/product/view/media.phtml on line 52
Please advise, thanks.
This isn’t caused by the theme, please make sure you disabled Magneto’s compilation mode, also make sure your cache is working properly (especially if you’re using some additional caching extensions or APC). Please contact our support via the form on our profile page for further assistance, if needed.
There shouldn’t be PHP functions declared in template files, that’s ignoring the MCV architecture of Magento and the Zend framework.
If this wasn’t declared there, this error wouldn’t happen.
We know and we’re very sorry for that, it was fixed long time ago. Please upgrade the theme to the latest version.
That’s good news! We’ll upgrade once the new release, which was announced for this week, is available
Can the mega-menu used on front page but on the left side ,
while removing the big slider from the front page if necessary
On home page (in left or right sidebar) you can show the same sidebar menu which is displayed on category pages.
Sliders can be easily disabled in admin panel.
Are you planning to release an update to the latest theme version 2? The Magento fixed many things in core 1.7 and released v. 1.8. ou
Please advise when your responsive will be supporting Magento core 1.8 community. thanks
Theme can work with new Magento but to make it fully compatible we need to prepare a patch – for example in 220.127.116.11 a new option were added: “In stock”/”Out of stock” info on product page can be now enabled/disabled via the admin panel. So we need to modify a few theme files to add this new feature to the theme. But theme can also work with 1.8 without any changes.
We’re finishing another update (it will be ready this week, around Tuesday/Wednesday) which was already planned before 18.104.22.168 was released so we will merge both updates into one to avoid releasing two updates within a few days.
In My-Wihslist only shows one product every time.Apparently is a Magento Core problem when you have multiple stores, according this post from Mag. Forum http://www.magentocommerce.com/boards/viewthread/291225/. But this solution modifies core files and not seems a good practice.
The fact is that, when I load a new item in Whislist, the first is replaced by this one. I had not realized until now.
Any suggestion? Thanks
First check if it wasn’t fixed in Magento 1.8.
Looking forward to the new Fortis update
I’m trying to get my Youtube video’s responsive and use this workaround: http://themeforest.net/item/ultimo-fluid-responsive-magento-theme/discussion/3231798?page=149#comment_4426970
It works great! Will this also be in the new Fortis update?
We’re sorry for the delay, we’re finishing another update (it will be ready this week, around Tuesday/Wednesday) which was already planned before 22.214.171.124 was released so we will merge both updates into one to avoid releasing two updates within a few days.
That video-related CSS will be present in the new version so you can already use it, it will not be changed in the update.
Great, thank you!
I have noticed that when add products to comparison list the notification number next to comparison list word doesn’t respond immediately.
For example I add some products in comparison list and the number next to comparison list word stays to zero (0). I make some refresh of the browser but nothing happens. After some browsing on website the number appears. The same happens when I am going to remove some products from the list. I remove one product but the list remains the same. And after some browsing the product will go to remove from the list.
This is Magento’s functionality not related to the theme. It works out of the box (please see the demo) so the issue must be specific to your Magneto installation, check your log files in var/log/ for details about the issue.
Getting Fatal error: Class ‘Mage_Default_Helper_Data’ not found in /home2/tunru/public_html/tunru.com/ozellikler/app/Mage.php on line 546
Using a new default magento 126.96.36.199 no extention added. Just Installed and Fortis theme added. Any suggestion?
This error is not caused by the theme, this message means that you didn’t disable Magento’s compilation mode before installation. Or you didn’t enable the theme in a correct way. Theme should only be enabled in System > Configuration > Design section. To do this, go to System > Configuration > Design and in
the Current Package Name field enter the name of the design package: fortis.
Next, go to Themes tab and in the Default field enter the name of the main theme in the package: default. Then, click Save Config button and flush all caches.
Refer to the user guide for details: 4.3 How to enable the theme.
How can we change the image (blue round) on the “New” Label ?
It is not an image but simple HTML so you can easily change colors with CSS. E.g.:
When you want to make some non-standard design changes (for which you can’t find settings in theme admin panel), you can do it by adding custom CSS.
The only theme-related point is the following:
Line 124, Column 62: general entity “subset” not defined and no default entity
It will be fixed in the next update. You can see here how to fix manually: http://themeforest.net/item/fortis-flexible-magento-theme/discussion/1744309?page=101#comment_4943943
The rest is related to the custom content of your page or other custom elements (like included JS file yQuery.js).
We think you would have to add the database to test the template, so you will be more comfortable for your customers to test the template in a more fast.
an example http://wptest.io/ for Wordpress
Sample database will be for sure added very soon, we’re working on it.
Hi, I need to place a small button on the right side of the “Add to Cart” button. I inserted the code and gave the class “btn-inline”, but the result is different in Internet Explorer, Chrome and Firefox:
How can make the button to look the same on all 3 ? Thanks.
I’m very sorry but theme customization is beyond the scope of our support. Your question is not theme-specific, differences in display of HTML elements in different browsers are not theme-specific. Please try to post it on HTML/CSS forum such as http://stackoverflow.com/questions/tagged/css , it is much better place for such a question.
If you want to add a button there, try to use the same HTML as for “Add to cart” button:
<button type="button" title="Add to Cart" class="button btn-cart v-center"><span><span>Add to Cart</span></span></button>
but with class btn-inline instead of btn-cart.
Just installed v2. Please see http://www.shantekaccessories.com.au/
An issue im having however is the right hand links “My Account”, “My Wishlist” etc.. Compare and cart have no background, and they spread across 2 lines rather than 1 single straight line.
All looks fine now, so it seems you’ve set everything as you wanted. One more thing, try not to set the main menu (in System > Config > Theme Design > Main Menu) as “Stretched”, thanks to that the header may look better as there will be a gap between the menu and Top Links.
Is there any issue with Open Graph & Facebook Like buttons. I have tested Like button in Articles & Blocks etc and on every occasion the popup box does not expand. No issue with Twitter/Google just Facebook which opens but open about 90px wide. I have tried setting overflow to auto but does not solve the issue…
We don’t know about any issues with these elements. It doesn’t seem to be related to the theme, you may just need to adjust the CSS of the added elements. Also, I’m not sure what you mean by “Articles & Blocks”. Please kindly contact our support via the contact form on our profile page http://themeforest.net/user/infortis and provide more details (direct links to live examples would be great).
