Hi,

In category page, it would be interesting for configurable product a button “view detail” instead of “add to cart” as magento theme demo ” “madison island”..

my apologies for my bad english

infortis

Hello,

Thank you for suggestions but I think this option is a little bit misleading: it displays “view details” for configurable products but doesn’t display it for products with custom options (the have standard “add to cart” button). But we will consider this in next updates.

Kind regards

Hi, I’d like to add conversion code but I understand there is no success.phtml file. Where is the best place to add the code?

infortis

Hello,

That file can be found in Magento “base” theme. You can enable Magento’s “Template Path Hints”, it will display the names of template file of each block in the front-end. Please see this short video tutorial for more details: http://vimeo.com/1067069

If some template file doesn’t exist in the theme package (because it wasn’t needed and the theme doesn’t override it), then Magento will use the original file from Magento’s “base” theme. If you need to customize this template file, you can copy it from “base” theme to the theme package.

Note that the correct way to customize the theme in Magento is to create your own sub-theme.

Please refer to chapter 5. Customization in the user guide for more details about Magento structure, customization and fallback mechanism. This is Magento’s functionality not related to the theme.

Ok thanks, but I have a live site so I don’t know if this would be a good idea. What page is used when a order has been successfully processed as I would like to put the google conversion code on that page.

infortis

There is a page in Magento that displays after successful order. But there are hundreds of template files, to check which template files you need to edit to customize specific sections of Magento, you can enable Magento’s “Template Path Hints”, it will display the names of template file of each block in the front-end. Please see this short video tutorial for more details: http://vimeo.com/1067069

Hello,

It indicates incorrect installation. Most likely not all files were uploaded or not all files are accessible to Magento because of incorrect file permissions on your server. Please refer to the “Troubleshooting” chapter in the user guide, check the list of possible sources of problems in chapter 14.1.1.

Double check everything and after that please contact our support via the contact form on our profile page http://themeforest.net/user/infortis if you need further assistance.

You would need to customize the template file which is responsible for the cart.

To check which template files you need to edit to customize specific sections of Magento, you can enable Magento’s “Template Path Hints”, it will display the names of template file of each block in the front-end. Please see this short video tutorial for more details: http://vimeo.com/1067069

Could you send it me?

What you can see under categories ‘Fashion’ in our demo was created using blocks which can be added to each top-level category. Category blocks are described with details in the user guide: 13.2 Custom Category Blocks

For example, the image banner under ‘Fashion’ is a content of the text field “Block Right” in Catalog > Category Management > ‘Fashion’. Please take a look at the screenshots in chapters 13.2.2 and 13.2.3, they show the layout of all custom blocks under top-level and second-level categories.

  1. can I know what’s the identifier for slideshow in demo 3?
  2. how to remove the language dropdown on the top right?

Is there guide for all the identifier because I find it confusing identifying which static block is for which.

infortis

Hello,

1. You define slideshow blocks yourself in this field:
System > Configuration > Slideshow > General > Main Slideshow on Home Page > Slides

You need to enter there a list of static blocks which will be displayed as slides. The default list of static blocks is:
block_slide1, block_slide2, block_slide3

but you can use any other static blocks.

2. “Language switcher” which you can see in the top right corner in our demo is Magento’s standard store view switcher. You can, for example, configure 3 store views (each with different language) in your Magento and the store view switcher will appear automatically and will work as language switcher.

So you can limit the number of store views to 1, or hide it with CSS.

Hello,

In case you need the original content of some blocks, XML file with all static blocks can be found in the following directory: app/code/local/Infortis/<ThemeName>/etc/import/. You can also re-import all static blocks, please see chapter 7.11 Theme Installation in the user guide for details.

Hello,

You can import color settings from “Demo 3” in this section:
System > Configuration > Fortis > Theme Settings > Data Import > Import

OR

if you want to check the configuration of one of the demo stores, you can install the Quick Start Package which is an exact copy of our demo site. It contains all the settings from all demos so you can easily check there (and copy, if needed) every single detail of the configuration.

Install it on your test server (e.g. on localhost) and use it to check the configuration of the demo.

Hi guys,

I have 3 blocks next to one another 1,2,3 (grid12-4,grid12-4,grid12-4). When the screen is minimized the order of the blocks naturally goes 1,2,3 from top to bottom which is fine except that I want the it to go 3,2,1 from top to bottom.

Is there any css property that i can put next to these blocks to dictate the order they fall into when on mobile devices?

Thanks a mill,

Gary

infortis

Hello,

You could try this trick:

- Add your blocks to the page in this order: 3, 2, 1.
- And then apply to each block an inline CSS:
style="float: right;"

First of all, my compliments on a great theme for Magento.

I searched the manual and the comments on how to create a category slideshow as in you demo (http://ultimo.infortis-themes.com/demo/fifth/fashion.html)

In the manual I cannot find any guidance for it.

I was able to create the slideshow with the layout update in de category. However this is then displayed above the layered nav. and Category title.

I want the slideshow to be below the category title as in the demo. Can you please explain how to do this?

Hi.. I successfully installed the theme on my current installation, but I just can’t make the Mega Drop Down Menu to work, only display the default Menu. I went to CATALOG / CATALOG MANAGEMENT / MENU Tab, I choose the Mega Drop-down, and other settings, it’s not applying. Please let me know if there’s a fix or setting issue. My current configuration has MAXIMAL DEPTH 3, Any helps with be grateful. Thanks.

Hi Guys,

I’m trying to enable a swatch plugin that allows customers to click through colour swatches on products at catalog level and change the image of the thumbnail before they actually click through to page view.

This worked in the past (before the hover over additional picture feature was introduced). I disabled hover over image feature and enabled the swatch plugin (cjm color swatch) but am getting this error Fatal error: Class ‘Mage_Themeadmin_Helper_Data’ not found in /home/webdesi3/public_html/babywearstudio.ie/app/Mage.php on line 547.

Any ideas?

thanks,

Gary

Hi Thanks a million for your advice. I passed it onto the developer and the issue is now fixed. This feature basically allows the customer to click a swatch in the category view and change the product colour before actually going into product view (in this case a t-shirt). I can also enable alternative image which is good as i can show just the design of the t-shirt on hover.

The only thing i would ideally like to do now is set the alternative image to only change when i hover over the actual image and not over the entire space in category view. At the moment the customer selects a swatch but because they are still hovering over the general space they cannot see that the image has changed until they move the cursor aside… does that make sense?

Thanks so much!

infortis

Alternative image hover is controlled by a simple script in fortis\default\template\page\html\footer_theme_scripts.phtml
