To show a ‘custom’ header large image you have to make a static block. I have 6 main categories, all products in that category needs to have the same header image as the main category.
Is there a way to do this without having to make a header for every product? Maybe it is possible to use the category thumbnail image and show this into every header into this category?
Hi Esensdesign, that is possible. but that requires a little customization work. fetching the parant category and selecting that static block. if you are not experienced enough in Magento we could do it. please contact support for a pricing.
All what needs to be done is grab main category name (-header) and place it in the 1column-product.phtml template where the default-header is being loaded.
line 77: // GET DEFAULT HEADER
echo Mage::getModel(‘cms/block’)- > load(‘default-header’)- > getContent();
‘default-header’ needs to be ‘categoryname-header’

I liked your theme, but to my use, the image of the products must be square. How can i change the theme to show images in square without distortion? If i buy the theme, i will gain some help to make this?
Yeah sure. when you upload only square images its automatically resized. but when you want it fixed would love to help you with a solution for this!
How easy and safe is it to customise this theme in a development environment and then upload and activate it onto a live shop with existing products etc…?

We have already opened four tickets but there has been no response of your part. The theme does not work although it is installed correctly. On local environment there is just an error message and online on the server there is a non-working template. Today we were about to buy another template. However, they were all ugly. Therefore, we ask you to give us your support within the next hours regarding the template or we want our money back. As we are about to set up our business it is quite an urgent matter.

The error you described has not occurred to us earlier. we do need some kind of access to your development location to help you out.
