Hi Luis,

I want to add a twitter and facebook link within the #topbar id (next to the cart) but each time I try editing the code in the header.tpl file the text expands the height of the #topbar and text is positioned above the cart.

Please could you advise me how to do this. For your information the website address is www.vinsboutique.co.uk.

Hi,

You aren’t using language and currency options, so you can add your custom code inside the div #wrapselector in header.tpl

It will add your Twitter and Facebook links to the left of the cart.

Try it out.

Hi,

I’m glad you like it.

You are running an older version of the theme. The fan box was updated to a new version of the Facebook Like Box script because the older one stopped working. You need to update the theme or it will have problems showing your FB page.

Once updated just enter your Facebook URL and it will work without problems.

I just noticed my Facebook box stopped working. Instead, I get the error “The `href` parameter must reference a valid Facebook page, but “136640350576” is not a valid Facebook page.” Is this due to a FB change? Is there a fix for this?

Now, if your page is facebook.com/mypage you have to enter mypage Everything after facebook.com/

Hi. Use this CSS snippet:

.products-slider ul li:hover .inner {
  -webkit-box-shadow: none;
  -moz-box-shadow: none;
  box-shadow: none;
}

All CSS snippets must be pasted in the Custom CSS code on Fortuna Theme Options module or on your own stylesheet as indicated in the same module.

As you can see there are some strange signs where the back-and-forth-arrows should go. Or is this something else?

Unfortunately I can’t show you the website since I am developing it locally for now. But do you have any idéas as to what it could be?

Hi Christer,

Which slideshow script are you using (Flexslider, Camera or Nivo slider)?

The navigation dots and arrows will appear only when you have 2 or more slides. I don’t think the *_ signs are related to the slideshow.

Please, check System > Error log and tell me if you have any entries.

“PHP Notice: Undefined variable: module in tabbed_products.tpl on line 150.” So I guess it has something to do with these modules, featured, special and bestseller. I am using Swedish on my front end, but this issues shows up in English as well. I’ve checked the file, and can se that it calls for these modules, but does it matter if I have another language on my front end? Everything else seems to work fine though.

Every language should work if you have copied and translated the language file tabbed_products.php to your own language directory.

Are you developing your site locally with XAMPP on Windows? Another users reported such error with that configuration but it solves with another local server and of course it disappears on a production server.

I am developing on EasyPHP (which is better than XAMP & WAMP). The issue still exist on production server, I’ve tried switching between the various sliders, and uploaded 2 banners to the slider.

The error still exist, it also shows up in all 4 browsers i tested (IE, FF, Chrome, Opera). These two signs show up where the nav for tabbed products should be, I think. It’s clearly related to the tabbed stuff somehow.

Everything else seems to be working just fine, but this little thing need to be fixed somehow.

I have set up a public test-site to develop on, can I PM you the details instead?

You need an extension to add blog capabilities to OpenCart. Once installed, the extension should be responsive too with Fortuna theme.

Hi Sam,

Check the file catalog/view/theme/fortuna/template/product/product.tpl. All parameters are defined in the rel attribute. Zoom window size can be changed but not the magnification amount.

The size is controller by two parameters:

zoomWidth: 360,
zoomHeight: 'auto',

zoomWidth is defined in the theme. You can add the zoomHeight with your own value.

Hi Luis,

got another query.

My shop has no sidebars showing. I want to display 3 columns in the product grid in category view however, but it will only let 4. I think this is because although it’s set to cols-3 via fortuna options, because there are no sidebars the .span12 is taking over? Please advise how I can get get it to always be 3 columns without sidebars,

ok found a fix – i’ve changed the width of the following to 33% – please let me know if there is a better way though:

    #maincontent.span12 .grid-box,
    #maincontent.span9 .cols-4 .grid-box,
        .content-bottom .grid-box,
        .content-top .grid-box {
            width:24.9%;
        }

Hi Sam,

That’s the solution. With 33% it forces 3 columns on category listing. Although to target only the category listing this is the code:

#maincontent.span12 .grid-box {
  width:33.3%;
}

Your code will change other modules too.

Also, it’s recommended to place your custom styles on catalog/view/theme/fortuna/stylesheet/custom.css and activate the option to use the custom stylesheet on the Fortuna Theme Options module.

I’d been busy on some projects the past months but right now I’m working on new themes. I plan to release a new theme for OpenCart by the end of this month.

I’ll develop other themes for WooCommerce and probably Prestashop. I’m also completing a WP version of Sellegance that I will release the next month.

So, there will be new themes very soon

Hi,

The theme use the built-in functionality in OpenCart core.

1) It has a feature called “Login to display prices” you can enable the option in OC settings.

2) You can add a RRP using an extension, it’s not included in the OpenCart core. And the extension will work with the theme. Check some extensions here http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=extension/extension
