Hello,

It seems there is an issue with the slider. I see a couple others have brought this up. The console is showing that:

TypeError: $.browser is undefined

From what I’ve seen, it looks like $.broswer has been deprecated from the current jQuery library. After adding an additional .js file to re-implement $.browser, I begin seeing:

TypeError: o is not a function

On line 12 of jquery.nivo.slider.pack.js. This error is written to the console each time the slide would change.

I haven’t looked into this further, but it appears the theme requires an update to be compliant with the latest jQuery it is pulling from googleapis.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks! pulpnwire

As a follow up – I downloaded the latest jquery.nivo.slider.pack.js, replaced the version in the /js folder and added jquery.browser.js to take care of the missing $.browser function and it seems to be working now.

jquery.nivo.slider.pack.js can be found at: http://code.google.com/p/forcdn/downloads/detail?name=jquery.nivo.slider.pack.js&can=2&q=

jquery.browser.js can be found at: https://github.com/scien/jquery.browser

For those having this issue:
1. Download the two files
2. Upload to your theme folder /js/ folder
3. Then just add the jquery.browser.js just after (jquery needs to be called first) wp_head() in the header file via the following line of code to header.php:

<!- extra js to help slider ->
<script type="text/javascript" src="<?php echo get_template_directory_uri(); ?>/js/jquery.browser.js" />

Hope this helps!

Thanks pulpnwire

Should the last line in the header.php look like this <?php wp_head(); ?><script type=”text/javascript” src=”<?php echo get_template_directory_uri(); ?>/js/jquery.browser.js” /> </head>

cant seem to get it to work

cheers

Please, read this comment.

Try dropping it down onto the next line, so that the call to the .js file is below the line with wp_head(). It might not like them on the same line.

Tried that, it didn’t work. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

Hrm, unfortunately not. Those were the steps that worked for me. You could verify that the .js reference is valid by clicking it’s link in the view source.

Also, check your console to ensure you’re not getting any other javascript warnings. I had another plugin that was erroring out because of the deprecation of other functions in the latest jQuery library, which this theme calls from googleapis.

Otherwise, without knowing more, you’re probably going to have to wait until Themico chimes in with an update :(

I am not having any luck

I am putting the

<script type=”text/javascript” src=”<?php echo get_template_directory_uri(); ?>/js/jquery.browser.js” /> between the <?php wp_head(); ?> and </head>

and it does not display the page only the background.

I need a fix ASAP any suggestions?

IMPORTANT NOTICE

As theme automatically add the latest version of jQuery, which now is 1.9, you all have a JS error. Reason for that is that in 1.9 version ”$.browser” function is deprecated. So, this is the easiest fix – open function.php and comment this lines (put // before it):

wp_register_script('jquery', 'http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1/jquery.min.js'); wp_register_script(get_template_directory_uri() . '/js/jquery-1.6.2.min.js', 'jquery', '1.6.2', TRUE);

Step 2 – open main.js and replace the very first line with this:

jQuery(document).ready(function($){

We will update the theme right now.

Sorry for the inconvenience, thank you!

Dear Author, I have same problem with drop-down menu, and have done everything as to “IMPORTANT NOTICE” in function.php and main.js. But still drop-down menu is not working correct:
1. In previous version it was arrows like ”>” for sub-levels available.
2. Before it was some fade effect on menu drop-down-list opening.
3. Now all sub-levels come visible all-at-once.
4. Top side of background, over the header (over the slider) become a white color.
5. Drag-to-Share not working anymore.
Please check the link http://dpdei.com.ua/

Hello,

at this moment the problem is that no jQuery file included on your page. We need to do a research on this subject before we know what is the problem – for some people the fix in the notice work, and for others it didn’t.

As a temporary solution I can offer you to open header.php and manually add this line just before wp_head() function:

<script src="http://dpdei.com.ua/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

This will add jQuery and I’m sure everything will back to normal.

Thank you!

When I updated wordpress to most recent update, my menu subpages no longer show. If I hover over a menu item with a subpage attached to it, it no longer shows. Please help!

Thanks

I’m having the same problem as alexillusha! Thanks again guys!

Themico

Hello,

sorry to hear that, did you tried the fix in the notice? Because we already uploaded the update, but it is not available yet as it is take some time before it will be reviewed.

Please, try to fix the files as described here. If this not help, then you can try a solution I recommended to alexillusha, only fix the URL with yours.

Thank you!

Theme updated with the fix of jQuery issues. Its available for download.

tabs and toggles work now, the slider still dosn´t work.

i don´t know if it´s important, but in your demoversion 2,3 and 4 everything works fine. http://htmldemo.themi.co/foundation/demo-2/

Themico

Can you please make sure that all options related to the slider are set correctly on the theme options page? Change them and save again.

i did what you said, but the slider still dosn´t work.

I’m having some problems with my main image slider. The images aren’t rotating. and the title of each slide is no longer at the top. I’ve tried the new update, which fixed my navigation issues but not the slider problem.

Thanks

I didn’t have any luck with it sorry. That and my share button are still down. Thanks for helping!

Themico

Ok, now the last thing, I think we found the problem and it will work. In the same file (funcitons.php) comment or remove this line:

wp_deregister_script(‘jquery’);

Does this help?

Thank you!

I’m having some problems with my main image slider. The images are rotating but the titles of each slide are rotationg but not related to the right image. There is a time lag between the title and the image. I’ve tried the new update, which fixed my navigation and I removed the following line : wp_deregister_script(‘jquery’) (funcitons.php) . Can someone help ? Thanks !

Commenting out wp_deregister_script('jquery'); worked for me. Thank you.
