Hello, I really like this theme, and looking forward to buying this. I have just few questions though:

1. instead of goal amount, can the theme be tweaked for a quantity based goal?

2. Since, I am from India, can I change the currency from $ to Rs ?

3. Can we change the “Pledge” text to something else instead?

4. Also, how is the payment processed, will the payment get returned if the goal is not met? Or the payment is collected only after the campaign goal is successfully met within the defined time-period?

Please let me know, so that I can make an informed decision.

Thanks, Jhon

Studio164a

Hi Jhon,

The theme can be tweaked to display a quantity-based goal, though you will need some PHP knowledge to make those changes. I cannot provide support for customisations.

You can definitely change the currency and the Pledge text.

How payment is processed depends on the payment gateway you use. The default payment gateway that is included for free is Paypal, which takes the payment immediately upon pledge. You can use one of three pre-approval payment gateways to take pledges the way Indiegogo or Kickstarter do:

You should consult the documentation for each of these extensions to see which one best suits your needs.

Hi, I’ve created the page just like the documentation says. I added the shotcode etc.. Now I see the “Create a Campaign” button but when I click it, the page is blank.. there isn’t a way to create a campaign?

Studio164a

Double-check that you have the shortcode set correctly, and also double-check that the Submit page setting on Campaigns > Settings is for the page with the shortcode.

I am getting the following error on my homepage after upgrading the theme:

I have fixed this issue. It was as simple as changing the timezone.

Need help with menus. I installed the Franklin theme and made an initial design to my site. Under “Customize>Navigation” I pick “Main Menu”. This places a nice menu on the website, but the menu does not appear on Mobile Devices. I can’t seem to find a widget that let’s me place the main menu on the page.

Studio164a

Could you send me a link to your site?

Hi Studio164a

Just noticed your theme has an image file named incorrectly.

Incorrect – wp-content/themes/franklin/media/images/Grid.png

Correct – wp-content/themes/franklin/media/images/grid.png

You can see the error in Console by changing BG Texture in, Appearance > Customize and selecting Grid as the Background Texture.

Studio164a

Thanks for the heads up. I’ll get that fixed up in the next version.

Hi Eric,

I have an issue with your theme. Actually when i’m on a page in wordpress i can’t choose between code appearance and visual appearance. This is a problem whil using the fullwidth audio player plug in.

Can you fix that?

Cheers

Studio164a

That sounds like an issue with the plugin, not the theme.

Hi,

I have integrated your widget on this website : http://info-evangelique.fr/

It works fine with this website, I have other websites where the sidebar is only 180 px large.

How can I modify the width of the widget ?

Thanks for your help !

Studio164a

You can do this via CSS.

Ok, could you give me some ideas on how to do that ? What class ou id to target ? Thanks

Studio164a

The widget wrapper class is .widget-wrapper.

Do note however that this will update the widget width for everyone. If you want to have multiple widget dimensions options, you’ll need to dig into the campaign-widget.php template file and look at customising that. I can’t really give you too much more information as this is really a custom development.

Ok, so it is not only a CSS issue… The user should be able to choose the width of the widget from the modal window. I’ll see what I can do. Thanks

It is done, you can look at it here : http://igive.today/projet/realiser-une-video-pour-leglise-persecutee/ It is associated with a responsive version of the widget to fit the different widths.

Nice work!

OK.. maybe this is a dumb question but when someone donates to a campaign, the money comes to me and then I am supposed to manually send the money to the person who created the campaign? Or does the plugin somehow send the money out to the campaign creator?

Studio164a

By default, the money will go into your Paypal account. However, there are alternative payment gateways you can use like Paypal Adaptive Payments, Stripe or WePay, which allow you to automatically split the money among the campaigner and site owner.

Hello,

I’m using this theme on a subdirectory site on WordPress multisite. It was working great for me until I tried to update today, now I just get a blank page when I try to visit the site. The theme picker on the backend looks normal, but the live preview also shows up blank. Any ideas?

Wow… sorry nevermind. I just had to change my timezone.

No worries :)

I needed to delete some backers that were listed in the Payment History that were tests. Now my campaign shows -2 backers. Is there anyway to fully delete these pseudo-backers from the database?

Studio164a

That sounds like a bug with the crowdfunding plugin. You can work around it manually for now by editing the campaign and changing the Backers setting to whatever it should be.

When I Export Campaign Data it shows all information except the backers’ city, state and zip. The city, state and zip code data is all there though – I can see it if I manually look at the backer’s Order Details. Is there anyway to rectify this issue? I don’t want to have to manually pull address in order to send out rewards.

Studio164a

Try using the first export option, Export Campaign Data. I just tried it and it gave me the shipping addresses for each backer.

Cheers, Eric

Default-user

I’m checked again. It gives me the street address, but no city, state or zip info. Am I missing something?

Studio164a

It’s all showing for me in the Shipping Address column (across multiple lines).

OK I’ve set the settings to require the user to login before using the site. However, if I’m logged out and try to create a campaign, it allows me to fill everything out but when I hit submit, it does nothing. It doesn’t alert me to register, log in nothing. On the backend, it doesn’t show the campaign either. So my users will simply not see anything and get frustrated and leave. How do I fix this? It honestly should allow you to fill out the form at all until you’ve registered. Any ideas?

Studio164a

This is not happening for me on my local test site. When the user is not logged in and clicks on the Create a Campaign button, they are redirected to a login form.

Could you get in touch with me via the contact form on our profile with all the output provided when you go to Campaigns > System Info?

How can I see the admin section of a campaigner account and the admin section? I want to see how it;s laid out to understand how we can implement additional graphics that we need.

Studio164a

We do not have a demo showing this at the moment.

I’m getting an error installing the theme on www.olympicquest.com:

I was activating the child theme when it happened. What should I do?

Studio164a

There is an easy fix for this.

Go to Settings > General and set your website’s timezone. The problem should be gone.

Cheers, Eric

Default-user

I had it set to +8.00 hours and it gave me the error.

Default-user

I changed it to Los Angeles (the closest city) and it’s working. Will a future update be made to fix it so I can go back to +8.00 hours. I only ask in case I install it on a site that doesn’t have a nearby city listed.

Studio164a

Hmm, didn’t realise it had an issue with that. I’ll take a look and work on a fix.

Cheers, Eric

Default-user

Awesome. You guys do such good work. Thanks again.

Studio164a

Figured out why this was a problem, and also figured out that my implementation isn’t quite robust enough yet. Should have a release out this week.

Please help

My website is at www.solove.vn

The button with text “Ung ho” which means “Support” in English is not working on Homepage but work fine on other pages.

How can I resolve it? Thank in advanced

Studio164a
I am seeing a Javascript error on your homepage:
XMLHttpRequest cannot load http://solove.vn/wp-content/themes/franklin/inc/sharrre/sharrre.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.solove.vn%2F&type=googlePlus. No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'http://www.solove.vn' is therefore not allowed access.

What this tells me is that you may have a discrepancy somewhere between using http://www.solove.vn and http://solove.vn (without the www). How do you have this set up in Settings > General?

Cheers Eric

Default-user
khanhcd Purchased

I set Wordpress URL and Site address is http://solove.vn in Settings -> General, I have changed to http://www.solove.vn but nothing happen.

Studio164a

Did you change it back? I’m still seeing the same error.

This error with the Support modal not popping up is a separate issue though. Have you made any modifications to the theme templates? Implemented any custom templates inside the child theme?

Great Job!!

Does it automatically deduct the number of rewards left as each backer choses a particular donation amount?

ie: I Donate $50 to Organic Farm in Thailand…that will reduce it to 7 of 25 remaining?

Also can you set where each payment goes to…as in each paypal account?

Studio164a

Yes, the number of rewards remaining will be reduced (assuming that a limit has been set).

If you have a pre-approval gateway set, then you can split where payments go.

Is there a way to give people the option to login with Facebook, so that their profile is linked etc?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Studio164a,

We are currently evaluating Fundify and other themes for use on our new crowdfunding site based in Japan. We would also like to test your Franklin crowdfunding theme, and are particularly interested in the payment gateway options. In Japan, Paypal Japan offers a “Web Payment Plus” service, and there also is WebPay.jp, and a few others.

(With Paypal Japan, we can get ‘sandbox/test’ API codes etc pretty quickly and start testing.)

From looking around here in the Franklin theme discussion area, it’s impressive how much effort and detail are given with your engagement and responses. Could you provide some advice and suggestions on how Franklin and compatible payment gateways could work for us with most pledges/donations coming from Japan.

Thanks!

Do you have a french version .po/.mo, and i dont need payment gateway just a email with the instruction how to pay, but the instruction have to be enter by the creator. And is it easy to put a photo of the creator, and a small question form.
