Also. Using you demo content when I chance the expiration dates the campaigns disappear, even if I select “the campaign never ends”. I have bunch of campaigns in “Scheduled” that’s just sitting there…even when I click “Reactivate”...It also seems that all the UNSUCCESSFUL campaigns are looking ahead of new and continued campaigns. Is this a bug! My “Reading” settings is set to 50, but nowhere to that is being displayed.

PS – I watch all the tutorial videos, but none mentioned those issues. Thanks.

I know this is only for pre-sales questions, but is it ever too late to use a Child Theme? I made quite a few changes to my styles now I’m wondering if an update of the theme will blow everything away because I didn’t use a child theme. :(

Personally I didn’t like your “Here we go again” intro…very cocky! First time the many years since I have been here on Themeforest.! Yes or No would have been acceptable as well. As I said, I knew it was a pre-sales question, which I’m sure you would have answered to get the sale if that was the case. I don’t have a problem with forums, but from what I have notice lately on ThemeForest many authors hide behind their forums, forcing others to solve their own problem days and sometimes weeks after the fact. I’m not knocking, just saying…so some respect to the veterans around here! You’ve only been here a year!

Answer: Yes it does, when you use the paypal adaptive plugin for easy digital downloads funds are split between the site admin and the campaign owner. You can set the percentage in the WordPress backend.

Greetings, a couple of pre-sale questions:

1) I read somewhere within these pages that it was not possible to offer backers the option of recurring payments. There is an add-on for EDD that makes recurring payments possible, so are you saying that this add-on does not integrate with the Fundify theme?

2) I am so very confused about the options to get backer’s monetary contributions to campaign owners. I do not want a percentage. I want a flat fee, only, but understand that this is not possible with Fundify.

I believe that I can handle flat fees by adding a membership plugin that monitors access to the campaign creation page, other account pages and features developed in addition to Fundify functionality. At least, I hope so. There’s some challenge, but I have high hopes.

The main thing is, I need backer’s contributions to go directly and immediately to campaign owners. Is this possible?

I am building this project for non-profits and independents working on the front lines of critical need. These are long-term campaigns with creative offline components, which is my specialty. I’d like their online functions to be streamlined and responsive to what is happening in the physical.

So, for instance, if an art gallery event is dedicated to raising funds for local no-kill animal efforts, attendees can use mobile phones to register donations online and watch other backers while goals near. In this scenario, backers need to know that their contributions go directly to non-profits and non-profits need to wake, without delay, to the promise afforded them. And I do not need the burden of accounting for and distributing monies that are not mine to touch.

If what I ask is not possible, as is, do you think it is possible through customization of the Fundify/EDD platform?

1. You can offer recurring payments if you use PayPal standard, and not PayPal Adaptive Payments.

2. The PayPal Adaptive Payments extension (as well as WePay) only allow a percentage based fee to be taken unfortunately.

Unfortunately PayPal Adatpive Payments does not allow you to take 0% (sending 100% to the campaign author).

What you want to do is likely possible but will require heavy modification and customization of the Crowdfunding plugin, Easy Digital Downloads, and the Fundify theme.

Please note though we cannot offer support for heavily modified versions of the plugins and theme.

With PayPal Standard they go to your PayPal account for future distribution, PayPal Adaptive Payments is the only gateway that offers splitting of funds between different PayPal accounts.

Now, I had some questions I was hoping you could help me out with! - Is there a way to add video on the Homepage grid? - Is there a way to increase the size of the campaigns’ previews on the homepage and change the number per column? - Once the campaign details are submitted for moderator review and approved, is there a way for users to update, edit and manage their campaigns? - How can the campaign managers add images to their “description” paragraphs and organize them? (e.g. http://demo.astoundify.com/fundify/campaigns/the-bread-bar/) - Is it possible for campaign managers to change the upper banner image in which the campaign’s title lies on? If yes, how can they submit an image for that section?

Hi, I was wondering if you guys were planning on improving the project submission WYSIWYG by providing more tools to the person submitting a campaign? The custom homepage template is static in the sense that the content is added automatically and there is not much customization control passed that. You would need to manually make edits to add extra sections to the homepage.

Can you group backers base on campaign? can backers within campaign have private conversations? and can we have multiple level of users?

No, this is not currently possible. Comments are public and visible by everyone.

I’m not sure what you mean by “multiple levels of users” can you explain that more?

eg. Level 1 are members who have not paid for access, level 2 are members who paid to access certain info? So, paid contents are not indexed by search engine.

I do not want members able to see certain items unless they committed/paid the project. So, project owner can share items with the folks who have committed.

Hi, I tested your theme (great :) ) but I’ve 2 questions:

1 – If i lost my password i receive an email with the link to change it. I enter in the page and make the login with the new one but in the site doesn’t appare the front end profile… but the backend! is it possible to redirect to the front?

2 – Is it possible In my personal profile to see my active projects?

3 – Did I receive some emails after make donations and project expired (customer side and my side) ?

2. Yes there is a list of your campaigns where you can export your data, edit, or view the campaign.

3. You receive an email when the campaign has expired, and we are working on adding more notification (such as when a user pledges).

I am VERY interesting in purchasing this theme. I’ve got a couple of questions though:

1. Is it necessary for administrators to manually approve all campaigns? Can they be approved automatically?

2. Is it necessary for administrators to manually collect funds for users once their campaigns have ended? Can this be done automatically?

I anticipate having a lot of users, it would be great to have the site run itself in a sense.

1. Currently campaigns must be approved by an administrator, yes.

2. With version 1.8 of the Crowdfunding plugin (just released) funds will start processing automatically when a campaign ends.

There might be a setting in the future, but reviewing campaigns is probably something that should always be done to make sure all data entered looks valid, and not against the terms of service, etc.
