Hello, I just buy and install this theme.

I’m still learning about it, but I found it very difficult to create a page with contact form.

I set my e-mail text and put the information in “Gallant> Contact form” after added new page with the template ‘Contact Page’.

It worked, but when I send a message through the form, not the message to the user that I wrote in “Gallant> Contact form”.

Opens a page without header, blank, with only the phrase ‘Thank you !’... the address of this page is ’/ wp-content/themes/gallant/mail.php’

And besides, did not receive the message sent by the website in my email address.

I am looking at purchasing this theme for a client. I need to know if it is ecommerce friendly. If so, is there an ecommerce plug in that works better with this theme versus another?

Is there a way to get the current video in the homepage LOF slider to stop playing when a new thumb is clicked? Currently you must hit the stop button on the player, before clicking on the next thumbnail.

Hi, I have many self hosted videos embedded into the site pages using the flowplayer. The “splash image” before using the video is a blank white color.

The client requires that there be a different image for each of the videos here. Please let me know how to fix this – thanks!

is it possible in the lof_slider to have the videos tab show up first instead of images

Hello! I just have installed this gallant-theme and I am trying to activate the widgets, but nothing is happening! There are simply no changes on the main page.

For example: you write in your Help-PDF-File this:

“First you should create an empty Page with Homepage template and assign it in Menu section for new main item (you can name it as Home for example). After this you can start to build your site”

But in the Menu section, there is NO possibility to assign a homepage for a new main item. There is simply nowhere any possibility to assign any page as main item.

Please contact me!

Is there any possibility to watch the settings you have done, to create your example page? This would really help a lot!

Dear WebinCode-Team! The Gallant-Theme is really great!

Is still have some questions:

- how can I place more than 3 posts on the homepage? There is absolutely no change at all, when I fill in the numbers of post to show as 8 oder 2 into the widget post box inside the Hompage Widgets Area. The page keeps showing just 3 posts.

- How can I put “Gallant About”-widget left from the “Gallant-Portfolio”-widget like in your demo? It is ALWAYS placed underneath each others, when I try this, not next to each others.

- How can I place some “Pages” on the front page the same way as posts, like in your demo? There is no “Gallant Pages”-widget! And when I try to put the normal “Pages”-widget inside the “Homepage Widgest Area” the result looks really really poor.

- How can I put up a multi language Website? I purchased this theme BECAUSE you said, that this was implemented. But HOW do I implement this?

I am having problems removing the Facebook ‘Like’ and Twitter icons that appear on the enlarged Portfolio images. I have tried to disable these in the Gallant control panel Portfolio section but even when the control switch is set to ‘Off’ the icons still appear. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your theme. I have missunderstanding with Intro Blurb. When i put there any english text – that works ok, but if i put some russian text – it does not appear on a home page.

I think the case is thet russian letters need 2 bites.

How can i fix it?

To my previous post: if i disable cufon use in gallant>fonts, it shows my text on a main page, but it is not decorated at all. I don’t understand js and cufon so plz if it is possible – give me good for me cufon js file.

Hello Gallant-Team! When users are posting something in the blog, i created with your theme, the date of the day and year appears like this “on %A %B %e%q, %Y at %I:%M %p”.

How can I fix this? Please help!

I have been unable to get the Captions to appear in the slider – although it would appear that only the Nivo Slider type can display them as it has in the options: “Enable / Disable Captions In Slider”

I think you mean (as it is written for other options) “Turn on to display caption”

However, despite turning this on, the captions don’t appear.

I have caption opacity set to .8 and haven’t made any style changes.

The text for the caption is obtained from the title and content of the Slider item posting but although I have data in these locations, it still isn’t being displayed.

I suspect that this problem may have been posted before but without a search option on the discussion forum (hint!) it’s difficult to find out.

It might be better to have a Wiki for the documentation which would allow users the docs to be extended by users.

Further to the post above, I think I have discovered how to make the captions appear.

Just to clarify, a Slider image can have 3 elements: A Title (a short one line description e.g. “My Dog”) A Caption (a short description, e.g. “I’ve taught him to catch the ball”) A Description (may be several paragraphs long e.g. “Here’s how I taught him to catch it…..”) – this only appears when you click for item detail.

1. The Caption only appears in the slider if you select the Lof_slider in the Gallant theme settings as this is the only one which included the text from the Excerpt field

2. The Caption text is not the same as the Description, it is taken from the Excerpt field and it overwrites the description in the list of Slider items.

3. Checking and unchecking the “Show Description” option in the Edit Slider Item page turns on/off the Title and Caption in the Lof slider. It turns on/off the Title in other sliders.

All of the above could be solved with better documentation, starting with a definition of terms.

Title=Title of the image from the item posting Excerpt = Caption text displayed to describe an image Description= Text containing Title and Excerpt text of the item Content=Content text of the posting

And a screen grab identifying all the elements.

Hi, is there a way to add a full width image or slider to pages other than the home page. An image with no padding?
