I’m intersted by this theme but i’d like to see how it works with portraits or landscapes. Where could I see the result with those kinds of images?

ProgressionStudios

b_citizen, there is an example of a portrait image at the end of the Black & White Gallery:

Feel free to e-mail me via my profile page and I can show you some other sizes as well. I just used the same size for most of the Live Preview to keep things simplified.

Hi there

I bought this theme a few days ago and think it’s great, can you help me out with how to create a contact form. In other themes I’ve worked in you just create the page and choose a template but there’s only a blog available??

thanks

Ian

ProgressionStudios

IanLinton, the Contact Form is put in via shortcodes. Just toss in this text “[contact-form]” with your content, and a contact form will show up. By default the e-mails get sent to the administrator’s e-mail address. To change this and customize the success message, go into the wizyPanel Settings > Contact page.

Thanks Mike, super fast help :)

Hi, I purchased this template for my photography studio and so far I’m thrilled with it. It’s super clean and it views VERY well on an iPhone (and I’m assuming on an iPad.) There are just a couple of things that I’d like to change.

How do I disable the “info” button on the photos? I just don’t think it’s a feature that I’d ever use and I find it distracting.

Also, can I change the size/shape of the header photo in the blog entries? If not, can I remove it entirely?

Thanks!

ProgressionStudios
I’m glad your happy with the theme! Disabling the “Info” button is pretty simple. All you need to do is go into the wizyPanel > Tools > Custom CSS and add these two lines of CSS :

#information {display:none;}
#gallery {margin-top:24px !important;}

Then of course click “Save Changes”. Go ahead and send me an e-mail in regards to the photo in the blog entries. I can help you adjust that as well but it takes a few more steps.

Hello I like the theme very much. I work on my localhost. I made a new gallery and when I wanted to look at the frontend. You see nothing only the loading picture. What goes wrong?

Thanks for helping.

Regards Puck

ProgressionStudios

Puck, the theme should be working via local host (The video documentation was done via localhost :-) ). You probably uploaded an image that was wider than 620 pixels, but with a smaller height than 465 pixels. Therefore it isn’t getting auto-resized. Try resizing the image down by hand or uploading a larger version. If that doesn’t work, send me an e-mail with a screenshot of the gallery from the frontend.

Thank you Mike! Quick respons…

I will try it this evening. Another question is that the widgets don’t work. Can I make it work? And for example when I want to put archives or links directly what can I do. I didn’t have the time to figur it out yet. Thanks again.

Puck

ProgressionStudios

Puck, Go ahead and send me an e-mail via my profile page or the documentaiton and I can help you out with a few options to get some widgets (The main limitation is where you would want to surface this).

If you’re thinking about buying this theme, go for it! I uploaded it yesterday and our site is off and running. Mike, the site developer is awesome and prompt.

Great job and Thanks!

hi, can someone tell me how the image galleries are managed in this theme? are they WP galleries, a custom-post type or just a shortcode? thanks

ProgressionStudios

gbot, the image galleries function as a custom-post type. More specifically the post-type is “gallery” (In case you want to make any theme customizations). Let me know if you have any other questions.

Here is a screenshot of the actual image uploader.

I am considering to purchase this theme but some of my photos have larger dimension, for example, landscape photography. How can I display such photos? I want the feature that pop up the image if I click on it. Any idea?

ProgressionStudios

crackstein, you can easily add links in the caption “i” box. When you upload images, the full-size image is saved and a link is provided for you so you can easily link to the full-size. Also, you can display landscape or portrait images easily. See the last image of the Black & White Gallery:

Hi,

I purchased this theme and I want to resize the images. instead of having a max-width of 624px I need it to be 1000px.

Could you tell me where to changed this? or how to? If i can’t do it, I’m gonna have to buy another Photgraphy theme.

Thanx

ProgressionStudios

keyvenferland, the maximum image size is 620×465pixels which is shown in the Live Preview (You can have any variation less than that). Any size larger than that will break the layout of the website. The Live Preview is built to show you what you can do with the theme, so you aren’t surprised when you purchase it.

You can add a link to the full size image with the “Image URL ” in the Image Caption box. Hope this helps you out. Feel free to send me an e-mail as I’d like to help you out with any other solutions.

The theme is broken. I have spent hours trying to get the menus to work and something is wrong with your theme. I have followed your video and text instructions. I created a bunch of galleries and they do not show up in categories in the menus section. I clicked the on “Screen Options” at the top but nothing happens which stops me from adding galleries to menus. Can you provide a fix for me before I throw the money I gave you away and go elsewhere.

ProgressionStudios

Please send me an e-mail and I will help you out as I stated before.

Ok, my apologies. It seems Wordpress has a bug which seems to pick and choose when to crop up. Its to do with its java libraries. The widgets page and the drop down menus are frozen on some pages of my site due to this. But only on one particular blog on one server. I have reinstalled from fresh with clean databases over 10 times and its still broken. I have never seen it before when using Wordpress. I can now go ahead and install your theme and use it as intended. Thx

ProgressionStudios

No problems, I’m just glad it got sorted out. Feel free to send me an e-mail if you have any other questions or issues. My e-mail is in the documentation if you ever need it.

I’m thinking about purchasing this theme, but can you widen the menu bar where the logo and menu items go? My logo is too wide to fit (either that or it’d be too small if I resized it), but other than this layout is just what I’m looking for.

ProgressionStudios

Yeah, shoot me an e-mail and I can help you out. Include an attachment with your logo for reference. Adjusting the width would only require some simple CSS adjustments and then one setting in the backend (that resizes the logo down).

Thanks so much! Here’s a link to my logo image: www.flickr.com/photos/26302553@N05/5430296520

(sorry, still learning html stuff… you’ll need to copy and paste it, but I’m sure you already figured that out) :)

ProgressionStudios

Send me an e-mail via my profile page on the right. I’ll be able to help you out with some better directions via e-mail.

I purchased this theme and can say that I’m very pleased with it and the help from Mike (ProgressionStudios) is very very good and promt.

I bought this theme and think it’s great! I want to add Facebook and Twitter icons/links, not sure where yet, but somewhere on the menu or by the copyright info. How do I do that?

ProgressionStudios

newco26, glad your enjoying the theme, there are a few ways to add facebook and twitter icons. One of the ways would be adding the two icons by hand (I’m assuming this might be more difficult than you are looking). Another way would be enabling a sidebar and using a sidebar widget to surface icons with links. If you send me an e-mail, I can help you out with some better directions. Just let me know whether you’d like the icons under the menu or by the copyright info and I’ll help you out.

Hello.

I purchased the Galleria Theme last week, I set up the contact form just like you mentioned on the postings at theme forest. Every time I send a test message, it never arrives. I’m wondering if you have any suggestions for fixing this. Thanks for your help in advance.

ProgressionStudios

Checking your spam folder and testing it with another e-mail address are good places to start. My first guess is your e-mail provider is blocking the e-mails. E-mail me with some details including the e-mail address that your are using for the contact form and your website address. We’ll get this sorted out. You can find my e-mail address in the documentation and via my profile page on the right.

-Mike

I just purchased this great template earlier, and I know I have to choose a gallery to be on the homepage, but I would prefer not to. Is there a way around it?

ProgressionStudios

Yeah, you can choose a page instead of a gallery easily. Go to Settings > Reading > Front page displays. You can just pick whichever page you want to display instead of the gallery. That should solve your problem :-)

Hi Mike! Thank you for this theme: it’s exactly what I was looking for! I’ve just a little problem with the uploads…. I’ve already changed the permission of the folders uploads, scripts and cache, but when I try to uploads a photo, I always receive the failed message. What’s wrong? My website is http://ariannaleonardi.com/. Tnx a lot in advance

ProgressionStudios

Send me an e-mail and we’ll sort this out. Should be an easy fix don’t worry.
