Hi Mike I just buy your Theme and it´s really great one!

I have some little Problems like this:

Warning: getimagesize() [function.getimagesize]: URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration in /var/www/web1056/html/mopho/wp-content/themes/galleria/includes/framework/extensions/template-tags.php on line 144

Warning: getimagesize(http://mophoart.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/210511010.jpg) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in /var/www/web1056/html/mopho/wp-content/themes/galleria/includes/framework/extensions/template-tags.php on line 144

Can you Help me?

Another Question:

I would like to upload bigger Pictures because I have a Standard Format for Web and this is a 950px for landscape Format and 850 px for Portrait Format. Can you give me Instruction how to change it?

My Email is gallery@mophoart.co.uk

Thanks so much for a quick reply

Yeah this is a hosting provider issue. You have a specific PHP function disabled on your server that is required. You can either request from your hosting provider to enable this. Or you can forward me your FTP login information and I can manually enable it in a matter of minutes.

This is the function that must be turned on: allow_url_fopen = On

I have already responded to your e-mail of course.

Thanks so much Mike for quick reply but where I have to do this? On my PHP Admin Site or with FTP in my directory?

Thanks so much for the Mail! You are really awesome!

I’m trying to use the NextGen Gallery plugin, but it seems to conflict with your themes “galleries”. When the plugin is active, “galleries” won’t show up, just the spinning progress gif (no thumbnails either). There’s no obvious conflict that I can see, so I wanted to know if you have seen this before and if you have any suggestions.

Thanks in advance for your time.

ProgressionStudios

Yep, it’s probably pulling in two jquery calls. Send me an e-mail and I’ll help you fix it. I’ve got a simple fix that should take only a few minutes.

Hello Mike,

I just try it with Instructions in your E-Mail but it´s not worked for me. Did I do it something wrong?

Now I make a new clean Installation and all sizes are default like in Original Theme. How you can see on http://mophoart.co.uk all Pictures are in Portrait Format but all are cuted.

Please can you help me?

Thx so much!

ProgressionStudios

Feel free to just continue e-mailing me that way I don’t have to respond in two places. You just need to resize the images before uploading them. Also, see the documentation for further instructions and screenshots.

Hey Mike, I bought your website based on your awesome feedback. I love the site! I need some assistance with the gallery. I have saved over the thumbnails with my originals in order to preserve the code (I am fairly new to html code) , now the slideshow won’t show up in firefox. Help please. Thanks! Natalie

ProgressionStudios

Hey, I assume you purchased the Site Template, not WordPress Theme. Anywho, e-mail me a link to your site and I’ll take a look.

Hi, I just purchased this template and love the look. My home page is not a gallery and although I have created a gallery and asked to place it on my home page, the gallery is on peoplebystephanie.com/?gallery=home and I cannot find it anyway through the home page. What am I doing wrong?

- Stephanie

ProgressionStudios

Stephanie, it looks like you have set your homepage to a page instead of gallery. If you want to have a gallery as your homepage like the default, then you need to go to General > Reading and set your homepage to “Your Latest Posts”. Then you can select any of your galleries as your homepage. Feel free to e-mail if you need any help.

hi Mike,

I want to change the copyright in the footer. Can you please show me how to do it? I have checked the php but didn’t find the script.

TIA

ProgressionStudios

Yeah, if you are using the php files, it’s in the footer.php files. You can just change it on that one file it all of the pages will be updated.

Hi Mike,

great theme! I would like to use it on www.mellaartphotos.com, but I get the following warning:

Warning: getimagesize(http://www.mellaartphotos.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/USA2007.jpg) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP /1.1 404 Not Found in /home2/mellaart/public_html/mellaartphotos/wp-content/themes/galleria/includes/framework/extensions/template-tags.php on line 144

I reckon it has something to do with the PHP setting of my hoster (Bluehost)...but I’m not certain what to do to resolve it. Can you please help out?

ProgressionStudios

Hey, this is an easy fix. The image resizer is reading a 404 Error because there are spaces in the file-names. It is reading the spaces as a bad character and therefore reading it as a broken image. All you need to do is remove the spaces from the file names and re-upload the images. That should do the trick.

Hi Mike, I just bought your theme and love it.

I can’t seem to get the galleries working though, whenever I try to view them I get a spinning progress and nothing happens. The ‘Done, but with errors!’ message is displayed at the bottom of the screen. Within the Wordpress admin area, whenever I click on WizyPanel I also start getting the ‘Done, but with errors!’ message. Please help – I hope it’s something simple that maybe I forgot to do. Wordpress version 3.1.3 and latest theme download from today.

Cheers Deborah

ProgressionStudios

Please help, guys!

Trying to upload gallery photos but getting “failed” every time :-( Also failed when I tried to upload my logo using the ‘Wizypanel’.

First I tried changing galleria/includes/framework permissions to 777, still no luck. Then I changed the whole of galleria’s permissions to 777 but I still get failed uploads.

Please shoot me an email asap to themeboy@silvercyber.org.uk – it’s really urgent and I’m tearing my hair out!

Aaron x

ProgressionStudios

Definitely don’t change the whole Galleria’s permissions. Please just e-mail in the future guys if you are having issues, you can find my e-mail in the documentation or my profile page contact form. It’s a quick fix but if you break other things it makes it harder. This is a hosting issue but I can help with it 90% of the time by manually overriding the settings.

Hey there, is there an “per author” archive?

I would like to set it up to an Multi-Autor page (currently there’ll be 3 authors) and I would like to can display an archive of the pictures of each author.

May there is an download on wich I can try your design? I don’t got money to waste and may your design isn’t that I’am looking for.

Please contact me :)

ProgressionStudios

Sorry, I can’t give away a theme to test. There isn’t an author archive setup, but that could easily be setup if you wanted. You of course would have to set that up if you wanted.

okay, sorry! i just solved the problem by myself:

it was the jquery.

i replaced the wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js file with an empty one.

pfffu… lucky escape!

thanks anyway!

ProgressionStudios

Yeah, we had used a work-around before but it’s done correctly now. You figured it out though :-). Sorry about the confusion, but I’m glad it’s all sorted out now.

Hello. The theme is working very well. I would like to use a custom background, but I cannot find the usual “background” language in the php or css stylesheet. Could you please direct me to the code for changing the background? Thank you!

ProgressionStudios

If you would like anything other than the 12 default Color Schemes, it should still be easy to customize. This is area is located in the “standard.css” file. I have commented the section towards the top as:
/* BACKGROUNDS AND SIDEBAR */
The main background is at the top of the stylesheet and the color schemes and sidebars are under the heading I listed. You can either edit the standard.css file or add Custom Css in the wizyPanel under Tools.

Mike, thank you for the super fast response.

When I go to Appearance < Editor, there is only one css file, “style.css” – where exactly can I find “standard.css”?

ProgressionStudios

/includes/css/standard.css

The Appearance > Editor doesn’t show you all of the files. Just top level.

Awesome – mission accomplished! One more question – what custom CSS code can I use in the tools box to get rid of the top and bottom borders while leaving intact the menu area? I’ve failed to figure it out after half an hour of messing around. Thanks again!

ProgressionStudios
I believe the css you want to customize is here:
#container {border-top:4px solid #d6d6d6;border-bottom:4px solid #d6d6d6; margin-top:30px; }

so change that to:
#container {border-top:none !important; border-bottom:none !important; }

Feel free to e-mail me a screenshot if this isn’t the correct area :-).
