Apparently, I’ve solved the problem. I’ve added define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false); to my wp-config.php file, just below the define(‘DB_HOST line, and now Screen Options works! I’ll test with my home PC later and purchase the theme.

Is there a way to add the galleries to a post? Instead of creating its on page, I would like it to be inserted into a post. Is there a lot of coding involved to do so? Thanks again!
You can only have the galleries on their own pages. There is no short-code or anything like that. The galleries are very complicated, so it is hard to implement something like that on a Blog Post.

Hi Mike. Is there any way to run a slideshow starting with the most-recently uploaded image (e.g. running from Photo 10, 09, 08… opposite of the current setting)? I want to do this without manually editing the running order inside “Gallery Photos” as I don’t want to change permalinks of already-uploaded images.
Hope there is a tweak to this. Thank you for your help!
I don’t believe there is a tweak to go backwards in the photo order other than reordering the images. Note: The images in the galleries don’t have permalinks, the javascript gallery is actually giving them the links.

There is a TimThumb vulnerability that has caused some issues for my site. (An iframe has been added to my site remotely and causing my antivirus to fire up) I can see the script being added, but do you know of a way to update/edit TimThumb to avoid these issues and secure it up?

The latest version of the theme has the most secure, updated TimThumb script. Make sure to download the latest files. TimThumb had a vulnerability that was sorted out about a month ago. It is related to the image resizer, not the theme so it effected all themes that used the feature. The fix was released and updated within days.

Hello there – I am getting ready to take my new site live. I imported several years worth of blog posts into this theme and above each blog post is a long skinny gray box with a camera icon. I assume that’s where photos will go in future blog posts, but I’d like to just remove it all together. Can you please pinpoint what coding I should remove in the blog template php?

Creating Links to Galleries in a New Page.
Lovin’ this theme. Glad I spent the time (and $) to get it.
One question….
I’ve create and populated 3 galleries, set 1 gallery as the top page. Then created various pages….About Me, History, Contact Me, etc… as well as a page for each gallery: Gallery One, Gallery Two, Gallery Three. The left side bar shows all the page links.
The silly question I’ve got is, I can’t seem to figure out how to set the page link (e.g. “Gallery One”) to actually show Gallery One.
I know I’m missing a basic step but can’t get it.

I forgot to place the menu items (Galleries) on the Theme location….Main Navigation.

This is a question regarding fancybox. Hope you can help. I’ve seen the following comment from you for a question by other purchaser.
I’ve done exactly as advised here, but when any thumbnail from gallery is clicked, it will open fancybox with empty content, rather than showing the clicked photo in the gallery.

Yes, that comment was in regards to an older version of the theme. You can ignore it as the latest version of theme works correctly with plugins and won’t’ load two version of jQuery.
The issue you are referring to has to do with the plugin (not the theme), it is adding the lightbox feature on every image regardless of it needs it. There should be a setting to turn this off, otherwise you will need to look at another plugin that will not take every image on your site and automatically feature it in a lightbox. Technically the lightbox plugin is working, it’s just overriding your site functionality and taking over.
Inserting Captcha into the Contact form…
In the Galleria Contact Us form, there’s no captcha, so I’ve been trying to integrate this plugin… http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/captcha/screenshots/It’s activated and works for Admin login but not the Contact Form itself. So installed the plugin maker’s own Contact Form and activated that but the original contact form is still showing.
Could someone offer any way to add a simple math captcha to either the existing Contact Form or recommend another form which has a captcha already?
I don’t have a comments section so it’s just for the Contact Form.

Found the solution…..strange….
The theme’s contact form is activated by pasting [contact_form] in the Contact page.
Then when a new contact form is installed, with a captcha for example, the captcha’s same [contact_form] needs to be repasted into the Contact page.
It’s the same syntax pasted into the same location. Not sure ‘why’ but that worked.
Yeah, the contact form is inserted via a simple short code [contact_form]. You can add this on any page or post and the form will be automatically generated. I’m glad you found a solution for a captcha.

A bit strange thing is happening with Facebook Like button. Want to see if anyone is experiencing the same problem.
When inserting a Facebook Like button to blog post/page and clicked, it won’t appear in Facebook wall. It only appears in wall if posted with a comment. With simply clicking Like button, nothing gets updated in Facebook wall. Is anyone having the same problem?
I initially thought this is a problem with the plugin I’m using, but actually happened with all four FB Like plugins I’ve tried so far.

benoob, this is how the “Facebook Like” works, nothing to do with the theme. If you want the social media to be posted to Facebook, you will need a “Facebook Share” button.

I am considering using this theme for an artists website. My concern is her paintings are not all same same dimension. Is there a way to accomodate Portrait vs. Landscape images? In the demo it appears they are all the same dimension. Please advise. Very nice design! I’d love to use it.

Encountered a problem though when I migrated the entire site to a new domain on same server. We were able to migrate all files and database successfully. However, we encountered a problem with the galleries.
Now the thumbnails beneath the galleries won’t show up. Here’s the warning we get:

Send me an e-mail and I will help you out with this. You have the PHP function “allow_url_fopen” turned off (The warning tells us what is the problem is). This is a hosting provider issue but I can help you override this.

hey great script… been using the html version for a year or two now… i’m havin a bit of trouble installing it… auto wp install the galleria-v2 folder zipped… then i get invalid header response… even wen uploading via cpanel… the plugin does not appear in the list… i deactivated all other plugins.. but still no dice… any ideas?? thanks, lance.
oops…oh i c.. dont i feel like an idiot.. its a theme… so now my question is… can i have my regular theme on my website n the galleria theme on the gallery only?

Yeah it should work with the qtranslate plugin. I haven’t used the plugin but it shouldn’t have any issues. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions or issues with using the plugin with the theme.
