Hi, does this theme have a traditional footer section anywhere (similar to your Gospel theme)? I looked through all the areas of the demo, but didn’t see one.
Thanks, and great work!
Erik
No, not on this particular design it doesn’t sorry Erik.
How can I embed a self-hosted video with this theme (I have the MediaElement.js – HTML5 Audio and Video plugin installed)?
Hi – this should help you http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/media-element-html5-video-and-audio-player/
Beautiful Theme.
I’m totally in love with the wooden background. where can I find that image to use as my Top Background Image?
~Kj
Hi and thanks for the purchase It was a free image from Dribble – however you have all the layered photoshop files supplied in your download and if you import the XML you should also get everything you need!
Jonathan
Got it, thanks. And sorry to show my ignorance, but did you apply it as the Top Background Image? Or the Custom Top Logo?
No problem
you set this in the theme options – everything should be in your help file PDF on how to set things up.
Jonathan
Sorry, I get excited and I ask questions before doing my homework! Much thanks. I’ll dig in. Small step for Mankind, giant leap for The Lakes Lutheran church
Johathan,
Is it recommended that you import the XML content prior to adding any posts or pages? I have a few pages set up, and then decided to import the wordpress_content.xml rom the Genesis-Church-WP-Package. I installed and activated the import plug-in, but I have two issues.
1) There is no “admin” user to select as you outlined in your Help document. I’ve created two users, both admins, so I selected one of them. Is that a problem?
2) When I run the import I get an error that says “500: Internal server error This error is generated when a script running on the server could not be implemented or permissions are incorrectly assigned for files or directories.
Any thoughts?
Hi – no issues as long as you are admin as far as I know. As for your 500 internal server error, unfortunately as the error states this is an error on your actual server, and you should contact your host to check your error logs to find out your issue as all we supply is a xml import file so it sounds like it’s the WordPress importer giving you issues but I can’t say I ever heard of that before – best to contact the specialists in this case, your host.
Good luck!
Jonathan
Can we change the the Top Background Image page by page?
Hi and first many thanks for the purchase!
Not page by page, no sorry – you could alter all the page templates to enable you to do this however that would be customization you would need to do as support is limited to installation issues and product support.
Jonathan
Hey Jonathan,
Like the look of this theme, downloading now!
One thought, I know it doesn’t support IE7 but it doesn’t actually look that broken in IE7. It might be worth making some fixes for it?
Oh of course, however Microsoft doesn’t even support IE7 so we tend not to spend too much time on something that their own company doesn’t support.
Thanks
Fair!
This is a really minor thing, but I’ve noticed that if the countdown feature hasn’t been inputted, then at small screensizes a white box appears in place of this. It’s because it still outputs the countdownbox div which has a margin-top value…easily fixed but just thought I’d mention it. But great work, thanks!
<div class="one_half_first"><p>Your Name (required)<br /> [text* your-name] </p> <p>Your Email (required)<br /> [email* your-email] </p> <p>Subject<br /> [text your-subject] </p></div> <div class="one_half"> <p>Your Message<br /> [textarea your-message] </p> <p>[submit "Send"]</p></div>can you help?
Hi and thanks for the purchase – that ‘screwy’ email field is actually your browsers default display of an input box
The issue comes from your update of Contact Form 7 which altered the ID of the email field (as it should be) and therefore your style sheet needs the new ID adding to it.
Unfortunately these comment areas do not allow code so please contact me via a ticket at the support center and I can give you the code you require while we put an update in the queue for everyone else.

Many thanks

thanks so much. Posted it here: http://cr3ativ.ticksy.com/ticket/49050
Thank you – I responded with the code and instructions

Hello, I use PowerPress to host our podcast on the site and on iTunes. Will I be able to use the built-in audio features of this theme to still do a podcast?
The audio player is a plugin called MediaElement.js – from the plugin site it states:
Video and audio plugin for WordPress built on MediaElement.js HTML5 video and audio player library. Embeds media in your post or page using HTML5 with Flash or Silverlight fallback support for non-HTML5 browsers. Video support: MP4, Ogg, WebM, WMV. Audio support: MP3, WMA, WAV
Hope that helps.
Jonathan
So is this plugin included with the theme or do we have to install it? if that’s the case I may just keep what I’m using.
We supply the plugin, but plugins are free to remove, install alternatives etc – choice is yours
Right, I understand that. I wish there was a way to demo the theme on my current site. Love the theme.
It seems I cannot organize the events properly. No matter if I adjust the publish date, the last event I put up will show up first…when it should be last (depending on the date). For example, if I am following my calendar and inputting events, and I make an event for May 2nd, then make one for May 3rd, May 4th, May 5th, the May 2nd event will get pushed to the end. It should be shown first since it is the “Upcoming Event.” I didn’t see where I modify the order. Am I doing something wrong?
No, you are not doing anything wrong, by default the events are ordered in the publish date order. If use our support forum and open a ticket with a link to your site, there may be a couple things we could tweak to make this easier for you. http://cr3ativ.ticksy.com/.
Please allow us to set the display order of calendar events ?
ie sort by date, nearest event is displayed first.
Thanks
Hi – sort by date / nearest event first is what we actually currently do – maybe you are running an old version – we have updated the files in the past week and days so you may want to take a look at downloading and updating.
Jonathan
Hi Jonathan, I’m very interested in your theme and am planning to use it for an education institution. My question is: can the event posts be generated from a google calendar feed? The idea is that a full events calendar has already been created at google calendar. Ideally, the website then retrieves the feed and displays events in the way your theme does. Any response is appreciated. Thank you.
Josh
Hi and thanks for your interest, but no our events are not tied to Google calendar. But you could choose not to use the events functionality and use the Google calendar plugin.
Thanks
