Glide Responsive Tumblr Theme

Very nice theme, I just installed it in less than 3 minutes on my Tumblr account, got to personalize it now. Thanks for the tips about opening HTML files in TextEdit too.

I am thinking about purchasing this theme but never used Tumblr before. I normally build sites in dreamweaver and client needs a blog to post topics, videos, etc and have sponsors listed down the 2nd column….but I can I host on godaddy. Client bought domain in his account and I plan on adding to our godaddy account, where does this get set up in Tumblr and I dont want the “Theme by…” section at the bottom, can this be taken off? Thanks

Yes you can use a custom domain name, follow this guide: http://www.tumblr.com/docs/en/custom_domains

You can remove the copyright / credit from by deleting the line of code in the HTML file. If you need help finding it let me know.

Thank you for purchasing the theme. Do you have a text editor such as TextEdit or Dreamweaver, etc?

You need to right click on the file and open in a text editor. What system are you running PC or Mac? I’ll find you a freebie program.

No i dont, also does the file have to be unzipped? im having problems unzipping the file on my computer, im on an acer aspire one.

Hey, Yes the theme folder will need to be unzipped. Once you have done that you will see a file named glide.html. This fil needs to be opened in a text editor such as this free one for Windows: http://notepad-plus-plus.org/.

Once you’ve opened the file copy everything within it and paste it into the Edit HTML page in Tumblr.

Let me know if you have any luck with that. If not I’m happy to install the theme for you.

Awesome theme!

I’ve upgraded from rapture, which i have used for over a year now flawlessly. But I still have the same problem that I gave up on with rapture, the tag cloud never seems to work, it always says still loading.

Hi Christine,

I purchased this theme about a month or so, approximately, and I’d just like to ask if there’s a way that you can perhaps fix some things that happen when I load the blog? Sometimes, when I load it (I generally use Chrome), the pictures from other posts overlap the text posts or other posts from the next post, and it just looks rather glitchy and unsightly for the blog in general. In addition, is there a way that you can fix the width and height for the featured youtube video section? I changed the width and height before because your original width x height measurements were too small for the video to be played in the site, but now, the video that I assigned just won’t even show anymore.

I’d appreciate it if you can help me with this.

Hi Christine, thank you for this theme! I am still working my way through it, but was wondering what the chances were of the icon option not being so small? I would like to fill the whole top “section” with my logo, but can’t seem to figure out if this is possible. Perhaps there is just a way to upload an image into that section… Thank you!

I’ll be updating the theme this week with a new Tag Cloud as that one doesn’t allow me to easily adjust it for each blog. The user would have to go and generate their own code. Which is not user friendly in my eyes.

Hey Abbey,

Thank you for purchasing the Glide theme. The PSD’s that are supplied in the main files are the PSD’s for laying out your logo.

I can supply you with a PSD of the entire theme in the next update if you like? The theme uses no images so everything you see in the theme can be edited with CSS.
