hey folks, i have got some trouble with the update, it just somehow dont update to the new version.. i have written yesterday a PM but have got no answer, maybe one of the experienced user can give me a hint? i have actual version 1.7.2 and downloaded the version 1.8 here a couple of days ago.. how do i update that? i have done all up by FTP, still current version 1.7.2 ? the updater function inside the backend dose not work ill suppose?

thx, yeah i see. but do i have to start updating from version 1.7.2 to 1.7.3 and so on step by step, and the use the how to for 1.7.4 to update to 1.7.5 and so on, or is it just enough that i follow the how to update instructions to 1.8 ?
just identify the list files that were request to be changed from 1.7.2 and replace them then it should be alright
+ can you tell us when did you send the PM because I’m afraid we’re missing some PM notifications and I would need to contact the service provider to understand what’s wrong

have tried to search so many files for resize the height the map… was 620px; but kinda too much higher for what i think… i have changed map height on style.css, but not working…

now regarding the car sharing service:
if we look at it from this pov, glocal is a portal that interconects 2 entities (whether it’s an individual, company, a service…) following a set of crtierias that are either based on a “single” geographical position and/or multiple sectorial basis (category/sub- category/ industry/...)
the query in carpooling is based on 2 geographical positions and a date, so this means that you will need to do some custom work on the search engine (unless if you find a tricky way to do it via the custom fields & custom search) but I really think it will require custom work because you need to make some changes to the algorithm especially if you want to optimize the results on your car sharing service, just to give an example:
if someone is looking to go from Milan to Paris
and someone else is actually going from Milan to Lyon then Lyon to Dijon it would be interesting to propose to the person a partial carsharing from Milan to Lyon rather than giving him 0 results
in gloca’s case you would need to play witht he search engine to make it accomodate 2 location search fields (sort of a itinerary) + you need to play with the algorithm
if you manage to find an alternative solution then feel free to share it,
