What is your time frame or making this compatible with WPML? This is a pre-requisite for me to buy this theme.

Many thanks,

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

we are now in process of making this theme compatible with the WPML but we can’t say for sure when this will be. It doesn’t depend on us. The queue is quite long and it will take few weeks for sure.

Cheers, Ana

where is the changelog to the new version?

anariel7

inside the theme folder file-readme.txt. There were just small changes inside the widgets folder for the widgets and for the content split page.

Cheers, Ana

Hi, I would be interested in purchasing this theme. What is the difference between buying the theme here or buy the package on the site www.anarieldesign.com?

Why a single theme has a higher cost of the package of all themes?

anariel7

The prices here on Themeforest are set by their reviewer team. We don’t have any influence on that. On our site we decide on our prices.

Marco

ok thanks. support and updates have a term of one year on ThemeForest?

Is this theme compatible with the newly released Wordpress 4.0?

anariel7

Yes it is, we didn’t noticed any problem.

Hi,

Could you please let me know where you purchased the stock photo used at the top of your home page in the theme demo?http://www.anariel.com/goodoldwinewp/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/bg4.jpg

what are the changes in the new release?

anariel7

Hi,

inside the theme folder you’ll find readme.txt file. There you can find what has been changed. This is the change: Update October 8 2014. 1. inside the style.css added: .woocommerce-checkout span.amount { background: none!important; }

Cheers, Ana

Ana I would like to purchase this theme but before I would like to ask there is the possibility to change and/or take some things off. Could you please email me. Regards Elio

anariel7

Hi,

thanks for your interest! A lot of things can be changed or removed, but some basic WordPress know-how is needed. What exactly would you like to change/remove?

Regards,

Marco

I’m really interested in this theme – but does it come with a sticky header? I don#t like the idea of losing my navigation menu when scrolling down the page.

Thank you!

anariel7

Hi,

it is possible with using some CSS inside the style.css:
#masthead {
background: #000;
position: fixed;
width: 100%;
z-index: 9999;
top: 0;
}
You can check this using the Chrome inspect element on our live preview and adding the style above.

Hope this helps. Cheers, Ana

Hello. I have a question: how do I change the text in “previous post” and “next post” buttons? I need this to change it to my language…thank you. Uros

anariel7

Hi,

Hello. I have a question: how do I change the text in “previous post” and “next post” buttons? I need this to change it to my language…thank you.

anariel7

Hi,

thanks for purchasing this theme.

You can use WPML plugin for it. Or if you want to change this in the code you can do this inside the “inc” folder- template-tags.php file.

Hope this helps.

Cheers, Ana

Thank you. I found template-tags.php file, but cant find the text “Previous post” and “next post”..

anariel7

Hi,

here is the part of the code where you’ll find the “Previous post” and “Next post” text:

/**
 * Display navigation to next/previous pages when applicable
 */
function goodolwine_content_nav( $nav_id ) {
    global $wp_query, $post;

    // Don't print empty markup on single pages if there's nowhere to navigate.
    if ( is_single() ) {
        $previous = ( is_attachment() ) ? get_post( $post->post_parent ) : get_adjacent_post( false, '', true );
        $next = get_adjacent_post( false, '', false );

        if ( ! $next && ! $previous )
            return;
    }

    // Don't print empty markup in archives if there's only one page.
    if ( $wp_query->max_num_pages < 2 && ( is_home() || is_archive() || is_search() ) )
        return;

    $nav_class = ( is_single() ) ? 'navigation-post' : 'navigation-paging';

    ?>
    <nav role="navigation" id="<?php echo esc_attr( $nav_id ); ?>" class="<?php echo $nav_class; ?>">
        <h1 class="screen-reader-text"><?php _e( 'Post navigation', 'goodolwine' ); ?></h1>

    <?php
        if ( is_single() && 'jetpack-testimonial' == get_post_type() ) :
            previous_post_link( '<div class="nav-previous">%link</div>', __( '<span class="meta-nav">Previous testimonial</span>', 'goodolwine' ) );
            next_post_link( '<div class="nav-next">%link</div>', __( 'Next testimonial', 'goodolwine' ) );

        elseif ( is_attachment() ) :
            previous_post_link( '<div class="nav-previous">%link</div>', __( '<span class="meta-nav">View the post</span>', 'goodolwine' ) );

        elseif ( is_single() ) :
            previous_post_link( '<div class="nav-previous">%link</div>', __( '<span class="meta-nav">Previous post</span>', 'goodolwine' ) );
            next_post_link( '<div class="nav-next">%link</div>', __( 'Next post', 'goodolwine' ) );

        elseif ( $wp_query->max_num_pages > 1 && ( is_home() || is_archive() || is_search() ) ) : // navigation links for home, archive, and search pages
            if ( get_next_posts_link() )
    ?>
            <div class="nav-previous"><?php next_posts_link( __( 'Older posts', 'goodolwine' ) ); ?></div>

    <?php
            if ( get_previous_posts_link() )
    ?>
            <div class="nav-next"><?php previous_posts_link( __( 'Newer posts', 'goodolwine' ) ); ?></div>
    <?php endif; ?>

    </nav><!-- #<?php echo esc_html( $nav_id ); ?> -->
    <?php
}
endif; // goodolwine_content_nav

Let me know if that helped you.

All the best, Ana

I have a question, use soliloqy sliders for the homepage with 3 photos, you recommend to use photos 2700×1159 pixel but in this case (100-150Kb every photo) the page loading is very slow, how can you optimize?

anariel7

Hi,

you are free to use whatever size of the image you want. We just wrote that we used this image size in the live preview. You can use 1920px in width (that will cover most of the devices) and height is up to you. You don’t need to set up slider as we are, you have a free choice.

All the best, Ana

Pre Buy questions:

Do you have a file that lists graphic, logo recommended sizes (such as the graphics that are used on the Live Preview and Featured Image?

Will the header auto size if the logo is larger than what you have currently used?

Thx much -sam

anariel7

Hi Sam,

if the logo is bigger and the menu will not have space, it will go under. You can add, for example, inside the style.css max width for the logo and it will auto size. I can assist with it if you’ll need it.

For the images you can use the Chrome inspect element function and using the magnifier hover over the image you want and you’ll find the size of the image. As it is a responsive design you are not obligate to have images in same size we used in the live demo. On Our Wines page images needs to be 422×240px and the rest is pretty up to you. If you’ll need some help with the image sizes during the process of setting up the theme i can assist with it.

Hope this helps.

Cheers, Ana

On the home page, how do i activate the “read more for the blog post halfway down the page? The only way I have been able to do that is to add the words “Click here to read more” with a hyperlink to the post.

I have the “read more” tag in the post too.

I find that unless I add the words “Click here to read more” with a hyperlink to the post, the words “Read More” on the home page do not appear. Here is my link: http://192.185.195.59/~bitner2/

Am I missing some type of special coding?
