Thomas, thank you for this wonderful theme. However I need more filter … How can I do to add?

Thank you in advance,

Simon

You are welcome,

If you search through the code to find the following line..

{block:IfFilter06}<a href="#" data-filter=".{text:Filter 06}">{text:Filter 06}</a>{/block:IfFilter06}

Right after that add this line to add a new filter

<a href="#" data-filter="FILTER">FILTER</a>

where FILTER is the name of the filter. e.g

<a href="#" data-filter="Illustration">Illustration</a>

Thank you for your quick response. As against the buttons appear fine but when clicked it does not find the articles (there is nothing)

Thomascullen92

You must ensure that the posts are tagged with the exact same name as what is inside the ‘data-filter’. including capital lettters, and don’t use spaces or special characters. :D

Yes I really pay attention to it and unfortunately it does not work.

my example :

{block:IfFilter01}{text:Filter 01}{/block:IfFilter01} {block:IfFilter02}{text:Filter 02}{/block:IfFilter02} {block:IfFilter03}{text:Filter 03}{/block:IfFilter03} {block:IfFilter04}{text:Filter 04}{/block:IfFilter04} {block:IfFilter05}{text:Filter 05}{/block:IfFilter05} {block:IfFilter06}{text:Filter 06}{/block:IfFilter06}

Hi, I’m very new to tumblr… just purchase your awesome theme but I’m having trouble using/making tag filter show up..

if i need to use the filter name: Project, Logo, Blog, etc… do I just do this?

{block:IfFilter01}{text:Filter 01}{/block:IfFilter01} {block:IfFilter02}{text:Filter 02}{/block:IfFilter02} {block:IfFilter03}{text:Filter 03}{/block:IfFilter03}

oh it works… somehow the template wasn’t updated when i made the change.

@Podeko you forgot the ‘dot’ in the data-filter=”.Bleu”

Hi Thomascullen92, Love your theme! I use it to display pictures with tab filtering set up.

Situation: While scrolling down, sometimes pictures don’t immediately come up after displaying “loading posts”. I’d have to scroll up and down a few times to get the next set of pictures to come up.

Question: Is there a way to let the pictures pre-load or remove the infinite scroll function, so all pictures popup immediately?

Thanks in advance,

Leon

Hey Leon , This is a weird issue that some people are reporting. I am looking into a fix but you could change the amount of posts per page on the customize page to load more posts at a time..

Default-user

Thanks Thomas. I put the posts per page to the max (15), but still sometimes only 1 or 2 loads up and other times loads up 4 or 5 (never consistent). I’m afraid viewers would abandon looking around, thinking that all pictures have loaded but in reality there are still many in “reserve”.

Thanks Thomas, hope you’ll have a solution soon. Best, Leon

Hi Thomas, Not sure if anyone else is having install issues, but when I copy over the code from the theme.html file I am getting nothing but but the plain text from my blog, no formatting, no images. I noticed there is no !DOCTYPE

Wondering if there is something I am missing. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey Thomas,

I copied and pasted using text wrangler and plain text in text edit from the html file and tried several times and the start of it looks like this:

{block:IfShowAvatar}

{/block:IfShowAvatar} {block:IfLogoImage}

{/block:IfLogoImage} {block:IfNotLogoImage} {Title} {/block:IfNotLogoImage} {block:HasPages}{block:Pages}{Label}{/block:Pages}{/block:HasPages} {block:SubmissionsEnabled}{SubmitLabel} {/block:SubmissionsEnabled} {block:AskEnabled}{AskLabel} {/block:AskEnabled}

It shows me nothing except for text. I have no idea how such a simple process isn’t working haha.

When I also tried to open the html with chrome, it looks like the code is corrupted right upon download. Can you help?

Hi Thomas, I have a similar need that other users have commented on here – I’d love for images to display at their native resolution. I have many images that are sub-800 pixels that are automatically upsized and therefore display poorly.

I’m happy to do some code editing if you can point me in the right direction – any suggestions on where to start?

Cheers.

hi , i have the some problem as ‘hcaldero’ and ‘kostasdesigner’ –

We had no problem uploading it but we noticed that when we use the plain font Title for the blog it serves as a “Home Button” and redirects you to the main page when you are on a subpage or post. But when you upload a Logo (gif file) it removes the ability to redirect to the “Home Page” when you click on the logo. How can we fix this as we would prefer to use our logo?

I noticed you responded that it is a manually way to fix that. Can you email me the way to do that ? tanks

A fix for your slow loading posts (infinite scroll) issue: put a loading GIF in there while it loads the images up.

Thoughts?

I just purchased the Gridly theme and am very excited to use it! However, I created one post and just this text shows up:

In fact, here is the link: http://dandonovan.tumblr.com

I did follow the instructions and made the html code plain text. However, I am brand new to Tumblr, so I could be doing something very dumb!

Any suggestions?

Thanks! Dan

I downloaded TextWrangler and and copied the html directly from there with no changes. The blog seems to be working fine now!

Hi Thomas,

Is there a way to reposition description text that’s next to an image within an article to the top instead of the side when in mobile view? Currently it all squashes next to the image and its unreadable…

go to live preview>open fashion post from homepage> resize the browser window hit refresh you can see what i mean.

Is there a solution?

Cheers

Hi Thomas, just installed your theme and it is great. However I want to change a few things: Is it possible to change the color of the header? When changing the margin and padding of the posts, they do not center. I tried a few things in the code, but can’t figure it out.

Cheers

Jakob
