Hi, i have installed Interactive World Maps plugin in the follow site web: http://www.polatoferramenta.com/i-nostri-viaggi/

The map not show immediately, i need to “reload” the page for show it. Perhaps, Salenti don’t support this plug-in?

Thx for your help Davide

2winFactor

Hi Davide,

The maps plugin probably just doesn’t support ajax. If you want to use that plugin, you’ll need to turn off ajax in Theme Options > Ajax.

If you’re still having issues, jump on the Support forum and I’d be glad to help!

Hi I’m interested in purchasing this theme but I had a couple questions…

1. If I wanted to make the first page my portfolio page like the demo, but have the images click to a lightbox, is this possible?

2. Can I eliminate “load more posts” and just have all of images I want just show up when the page loads?

Thanks!

2winFactor

Hi Caseyxchen,

Thanks so much for your interest! I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

1. That’s not possible without making some modifications to the theme files. I’ve give instructions to a few customers on how to do that on the support forum. It’s not super difficult, but you’d need to be comfortable setting up a child theme and editing files.

2. Yep! Just set the posts per page to something really high (like 99999) and all the posts will show by default.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Hi Andre,

One pre-purchsing question;

Its possible to have 3 portfolio sections in the main menu with subcategories?

Example:

Portfolio1 >> subcategory1.1/subcategory1.2/subcategory1.3

Portfolio2 >> subcategory2.1/subcategory2.2/subcategory2.3

Portfolio3 >> subcategory3.1/subcategory3.2/subcategory3.3

etc…

sorry if someone already asked this before (and sorry for my english too).

Please say yes to my question… I really want to work whith this theme. Great theme here!

Thanks!

2winFactor

Hi Actodefe,

The easiest way to do this is you’d need to assign separate filter categories for portfolio1, portfolio2 and portfolio3. That way you won’t have to make a custom post type for each one. If you do that, then you can certainly arrange those categories in your menu like that via the WordPress custom menu editor.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Hi, I am interested in purchasing this theme, but wondering if on the homepage it is possible to set the thumbnails to all be the same size?

2winFactor

Hi Lonigibson,

Thanks so much for your interest! I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Yep! You can actually set the size of each individual thumbnail – just set them all to be the same size and they will be.

Hi, trying to build the site on the template now, quick question is how can I re-arrange the order of the parent pages i.e Home, Portfolio, Blog, Contact Us along the top right hand side? Is there an option to do this in the theme or is it to do with creation date???

Cheers,

Joe.

I’m having issues w/ embedding videos. When I review the pages on my computer or mobile device the video never resizes properly on the load. Instead I have to refresh for it to be responsive.Ever video embed (youtube and/or vimeo) has this issue. Only resolves when I refresh. Thoughts?

I reviewed your 2013 most unique getaways example and that one loaded fine, so I know it’s not my op system or web browser.

Thanks

Default-user

Also, my page is not centering in full width mode, check out both issues here: reza{dot}la

2winFactor

Hi Austinreza,

Thanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!

How are you adding the video? Have you tried just adding the url to your portfolio content? You don’t have to use any embed code. The embed code could be causing issues with width if certain settings were specified.

Also, not seeing a centering issue on your homepage. Could you be more specific? I’d be happy to help, I just need a little bit more clarification on what the issue is.

2winFactor

Hi Austin,

My apologies! I missed your last comment!

Do you have a live version link of your site? I’m not sure what could be causing the issue for your specifically.

Could you post the link on the Support Forum? That way there’s no chance I’ll miss your comment and you won’t need to post your URL publicly if you don’t want to.

Try adding this to your custom css box in Theme Options > Customize:

.isotopeliquid {
margin:auto;
}

For some reason something is overwriting this css. This should fix the issue, but let me know if you need any additional assistance,

Still not working. Should I reinstall the theme. If so, how? If there a plugin effecting the theme? Only running Jetpack by WordPress.com & Themewich Shortcodes

2winFactor

Hi Austin,

You’ll need remove the ‘pre’ tags from your css box. There should be no lines that have the ‘pre’ tags in them. It should look only like the above.

Andre

Done thanks! Also, is there any way you could send the provide the pages copy/script from your template to have a get ref/example of how you format w/ shortcode. Thx

Hi Austin,

There’s dummy data included with your theme download in the “database import files” folder of your Themeforest download. Inside is also instructions on how to import the dummy data.

Thanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!

Hey there!

Can I display a vertical design (PNG/JPG image) instead of the sound player here: http://themewich.com/gridstack/portfolio/an-audio-example/?

I mean positioning the description by the side of the item itself (instead of above/below it).

Thanks in advance for your reply.

2winFactor

Hi Eliffio,

Thanks so much for your interest! I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Sure! That layout was created using the column shortcodes to create two columns. Just insert your image in the first column and it will be displayed there, next to the text.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Andre

eliffio

Thank you so much for the reply Andre!

Just one more question: the columns will always be 1-1? Or could they be, for example: 3-1 so the element/column in the left is bigger than the right column?

2winFactor

Hi Eliffio,

Yep! You can have columns of varying sizes. For instance you can have one-third column and a two-thirds column, or a one fourth and a three fourth. Any combination you like. :)

Andre

eliffio

You are the man! Thank you so much for the replies Andre. GREAT theme! ;)

Love the theme, a few pre-purchase questions.

1.) Can you suppress some of the filter categories when the filter is displayed? I have dozens of categories and sub-categories and would only like to show a few on certain portfolio pages.

2.) When using the navigation arrows NEXT POST, PREVIOUS POST appear on hover. Can you make the actual name of the previous and next post appear instead?

3.) Can you tag portfolio items? or set up a skill tree?

4.) Spacing between portfolio content (within an actual item) on mobile seems pretty wide (at least on iOS), I know basic CSS, is this easy to modify?

Thanks so much, look forward to purchasing!

2winFactor

Hi Newman,

Thanks so much for your interest! I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

1) Filters are a whole other taxonomy. In fact, it’s like a category, but it’s shared between posts and portfolio items. Even if you have a lot of categories, you can create completely different filters.

2) It’s possible, however, you’d need to make some modifications to the theme to add this. Basically, you’d need to open the template file with the controls and change previous_post_link to previous_post. Not super difficult, but you do need to edit a theme file or make use of a child theme.

3) There’s no tags available for portfolio items. What do you mean by skill tree exactly? Could you elaborate a little more?

4) Sure, you can change the spacing just for mobile. No need to touch the theme code. You can just enter that css in the custom css box in the theme options. I’m happy to help with that.

Hi, about to purchase your theme just a quick question

1. On the home page is it possible to remove the title at the top before the grid? On your theme it says ‘Meet Gridstack’ So that straight under the menu it goes into the portfolio

Thanks

1. Yep! If you’ve purchased the theme, Eric gives instructions here:

Hi Andre,

I’m really interested in purchasing your theme. I just one final question before I can do it: is it possible, in the gallery displayed in the home page, to have fixed width/height for the thumbnails?

Thanks,

All best

2winFactor

Hi Gathayde,

Thanks so much for your interest! I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Could you explain a little more what you mean by fixed width/height for the thumbnails on the homepage? The grid sections do have a uniform width for each browser size.

Andre

Default-user

Sorry, I was not so clear. The thing is I’m making a website for a client who works with video, so all the thumbs in the homepage must have the video proportion (16:9). In the demo from the template, I see that, in the homepage, the thumbs are displayed in different proportions, for example, square or more 4:3. Is it possible to have all of them in the same proportion or, even better, in the same size?

2winFactor

Hi Gathayde,

You could change the aspect ratio of those thumbs if you want with some custom css and by changing the thumbnail size within the theme. My only worry is they won’t be tall enough to fit longer titles.

However, this type of customization would go beyond the scope of support for the theme. I’d be happy to point you in the right direction, but you’d need to implement these changes yourself of seek the help of a 3rd-party programmer to assist you with something like this.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Hi Andre, Love your theme…but I have a question: I want an homepage which shows the complete portfolio (all filters), and another page with portfolio, but only one filter shown. Is it possible? How do I make it? Thank you for your support bye Michele

2winFactor

Hi Michele,

Yep! The theme is already set up to do this. To add a portfolio with one filter shown, you can add a filter page to your menu. Here’s an example:

http://themewich.com/gridstack/filter/identity/

In this example, portfolio items have more than one filter, but all of the items on this page belong to the identity filter. Of course, if your portfolio items only have one filter on them, you won’t see the “identity” and “illustrations” links above the items.

Let me know if you have any additional questions,

Andre

Default-user

Thanks for the quick support, I need something more: i want to add the portfolio with one filter show in a “normal” page with other things (text, images…). How do I make? Thank you again

2winFactor

Hi Mic83tn,

You’d need to create a page template for something like that. Basically, you could copy the portfolio template, rename it and change the loop to only get posts from a specific filter.

Hi, is it possible to have blog page http://themewich.com/gridstack/blog/ with layout as http://themewich.com/gridstack/arranging-things-neatly-around-the-office-3/ (i.e. full width, without side column)? Thanks.

2winFactor

Hi Alexchneider,

You can do that, however, you’d need to make some minor alterations to the theme. I can help you through that if you need assistance. It’s not difficult to do, but it does require altering theme files. I recommend using a child theme for this.

Bought this template a couple of days ago. I am realy satisfied, it’s perfect for a guy lke me who does not know a thing about WP.

I have 2 problems and 1 question, thought : - The contact page shows nothing. it’s a blank page. I reuploaded the all stuff, followd your walkthrough, still it appears balnk : (

- I use a 27’’ imac at work and the “full width” pages does wot extend to the left side of the screen. It lacks the space of 1 square item, leaving it blank. Is there something 9 can do so that the page goes from one side to another ?

- Is there a way to create a portfolio item, enter some text, maybe a picture or two, and type a side text to any picture, (on the left, on the right). Still with the responsive ability ?

I probably sound “noob”, sorry : ( Thanx in advance for your answers, and thanks again for this AWESOME TEMPLATE !

Noticed the Ajax isn’t working on certain browsers.. i.e. Chrome on OSX, Firefox on Windows…

2winFactor

Hi Geekybeaver,

Is this on the demo site or your own? I’m not seeing these issues on my end. Can you provide more information?

Andre

geekybeaver

Demo site.. the home page will load, then on click of a page, it shows the loading them the entire screen is white (and it’s finished loading).

2winFactor

Hmm…. I’m not seeing that on my Win8.1/Firefox30.0 or OSX10.9.2/Chrome 35. Can you verify that you don’t have javascript disabled? Can you try it without the top bar on the demo?

Andre

geekybeaver

Verified JS is enabled and not disabled. Have tried from the root domain without the top bar, same issue.

2winFactor

Which specific version of Win/Firefox are you using? Or Chrome/OSX? I’m trying to recreate the issue on my end.

Can you try disabling your browser plugins? They could also be causing js issues.
