Hey there, thanks for your help so far. My website is on a good way and thanks to your gorgeous work it looks great.

There is just one very important thing missing for me as a designer: There is no Behance-Icon in your social media icons shortcode. Can you add that, or are there any plans to do so?

Thanks for your reply, keep the great work going! Nadir Aslam

2winFactor

Hi Nadir,

I hope to add more icons in a future update! However, I’m not sure exactly when they will come.

Hi, Nice Theme. Quick Question before I jump on this one, is there any way to show “Full Text” posts instead of the Excerpt with the read more on the blog and home page?

Thank You

2winFactor

Yep! You can just set your blog as your homepage:

http://themewich.com/gridstack/blog/

with full text and you’re good to go!

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Andre

Sorry, I didn’t explain it right, I see your blog example but it only shows the post excerpt and a read more button, what I like to do is show the full post content.

2winFactor

Hi Skynandi,

No, I understand correctly. The “read more” buttons on the site are added by inserting a “more” tag into your post:

http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/

If you don’t add this more tag, then the full content of your post will display. In fact this is how it works by default. It automatically shows ALL the content UNLESS you add the more tag.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Andre

Hi, is there an option to remove particular filters from appearing on the homepage? For example, I would like to have the filters of the ‘unfeatured’ portfolio posts hidden from the homepage…. Thanks, Joe.

2winFactor

Hi Joecoulter,

Thanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!

The easiest way to do this would be to remove them manually. Check out this topic on the support forum:

Hi again. We are facing some problems switching some of our themes and now we wonder what will happen with your Gridstack theme and all the different kind of galleries, sliders and full-width pictures, if we buy it and we ever decide in the future to move it to another theme. Thanks.

2winFactor

Hi Yogova,

Great question. The galleries, sliders and full-width pictures all use WordPress’ built in gallery functionality. That means, if you switch themes, those images will display as WordPress galleries on the new theme.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Andre

Hi, is right-to-left (RTL) site layout is supported? if not, do you plan supporting it?

Some reference links: http://wpml.org/2011/06/creating-right-to-left-rtl-wordpress-sites/ http://wpml.org/2011/12/adding-rtl-support-for-theme/

Thanks, —Ran.

2winFactor

Hi Ran,

Thanks so much for your interest. I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

There’s no RTL version of this theme. However, if you’re comfortable with css and code additions, you can convert any theme to RTL if you like:

Hi! I would like to know if it’s possible to have a side bar on a single post page? It’s not working for our blog… the sidebar just shows up on the blog page and I want it also on the posts page.

Thank you! http://www.creatiffco.com/blog/
2winFactor

Hi Creatiffco,

I’m not seeing any purchase data for this theme. Is it possible that you’ve purchased via another account or have the wrong theme?

Andre

Hi Andre,

I just sent you an email back with the licensing info! I do apologize, I purhcased it on another acocunt!!

2winFactor

No worries! I just sent you another email.

Andre

Hello,

Design looks very clear.

Just wondering what is the plugin that you have used for homepage text rotator where it says “Meet GridStack”?

Good luck.

2winFactor

The only customizations were the css look of the slider (with the navigation dots on the side).

Hi, I am seriously considering purchasing this theme, but before I do, I need to know whether Flash is supported? I have quite a few Flash banner ads that I want to include in my portfolio.

Does the built in lightbox for this theme support swfs?

Thanks so much!

2winFactor

Hi Emmamy,

I don’t think flash is supported as a featured image in WordPress. I don’t think it’s possible to do this with the theme without some extensive modifications. This type of customization would go beyond the scope of support for the theme. You’d need to implement these changes yourself of seek the help of a 3rd-party programmer to assist you with something like this.

However, the lightbox could support flash. The easiest way to do this would be to use an inline popup:

Hey! It’s a great theme :)

1) i have question about logo hover – with ‘mouseover’ logo changing to more transparent, can I turn it off somehow?? 2) how i can change size of font in column short code?

Greetings & thanks for your help!

Default-user

on more question 3) is it possible to show content “full width”?

2winFactor

Hi Soonconcept,

Thanks so much for your interest! I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

1) Sure – that’s a jquery effect. You can change the opacity to always be 100% with some custom css in the Theme Options. I’d be happy to assist with this.

2) Yes, of course! I just used heading style 3 for the title and just regular paragraph text for the rest, but you can use any heading styles/sizes you want.

3) Do you mean like this page? http://themewich.com/gridstack/full-width-page/

From time to time space between menu and and title is changing. I have no idea where is mistake. Sometime is back to normal just after refreshing some time all day… No idea what i did or where it’s seating… it’s the same on all the browsers. http://wearegolden.be/images_temp/problem%201.tiff 2. My portfolio grid is crocked :/ everything was fine – then i guess i change something in css, but now i cannot find what… You can see on the picture, some of the pictures are displaying normal but other just having strange and not regular border lines… I discover as well that on Chrome it’s not showing full screen (last on the picture). http://wearegolden.be/images_temp/problem%202.tiff Hope you will help me a bit – because i’m totally stock with this two things for now :(

Hi A pre-sale question: Is it possible to have a filtered portfolio based on my post instead of projects? Kind regards

Kristoffer

2winFactor

Hi Kl2014,

Thanks so much for your interest! I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

The homepage allows for both portfolio items and posts. So if you only add posts to your homepage, then it will only filter posts. However, the regular blog layout does not contain a filter functionality.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Andre

Hi,

Before purchasing I need some answers please:

- Can I create a one-page layout out of this theme? I would like to use it as a landing page for an agency - Can I make the header menu a little bigger? I have a rectangular logo that I would like to be more visible - Is there an option to create a Services list/table?

2winFactor

Hi Fadidraghici,

Thanks so much for your interest! I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

1) Sure, however, you may need to do some work to make the links in the navigation link to parts of your page. It also really depends on what content you want on your page as well.

2) Sure, those adjustments are easy with some custom css in the Theme Options panel. I’d be happy to assist with that.

3) There’s no specific “services list” table. I’m not exactly sure what you’re specifically trying to achieve, but with the column shortcodes you can create your own layout.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Andre

Hi again One more question: Is it possible to control how the portfolio is displayed: size of pictures etc.?

Kind regards Kristoffer

2winFactor

Hi Kristoffer,

Sure! The portfolio items are very flexible. On the homepage and portfolio index pages for instance, you can choose the size of your portfolio thumbnail between the slim, square and large sizes. On your individual portfolio pages, you can control the complete layout using slideshows, galleries, column shortcodes and more. What specific layout/size of pictures are you wanting to achieve?

Andre

Default-user

Hi Andre

Thanks a lot for your answers. I have a couple more! before purchasing the theme this week.

- I like the default layout with pictures, i just wanted to make sure that it could be controlled, so that is great.

- I will end up having 80 posts. Does it slow performance, or does it work fine with the use of “load more” option? The theme seems really fast, just wanted to maintain that:)

- The portfolio seems to switch between two types of pictures – is it something you choose or is it done automatically?

- Does all the features apply to regular “post type”. In other words: are the features you can achieve with a “project post” similar to the one you can achieve with a “regular post”

- Is it possible to customize the look of the menu?

Hope to hear from you:)

Kind regards Kristoffer

2winFactor

Hi Kristoffer,

The load more option is there to help performance. It only loads a few items at a time, so it doesn’t matter if you have 10 posts or 1 million posts. The performance will be the same! No matter what it will only load the number you set for your pagination.

The mini thumbnail slideshows are done automatically with the attached images on your posts and portfolio items. However, you can turn that off if you want from within the theme options.

Yep! All the features apply with regular posts. The only difference between regular single posts and portfolio single posts is there’s a date displayed in regular posts. Additionally, the portfolio index page has a filter function, where as regular posts index does not.

What type of customizations did you want to make? From within the theme options, you can select the font, and font size of the menu. The rest of the menu look would need to be adjusted with some custom css.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Andre

Will this theme, or do any of your themes support parallax scrolling and indeed would it be possible to re-create using one of them a site like this\; http://marquee-demo.squarespace.com/#about

Rich

2winFactor

Hi Rich,

You can add parallax effects using the themewich shortcodes plugin I mentioned in the other thread:

https://bitbucket.org/themewich/themewich-shortcodes

The parallax shortcode allows you to place a parallax background image behind some text. This function is similar to the link you sent, except the image is stationary as the user scrolls.

Andre

Hello Awesome theme for portfolios. Just one question. As of now the “All” filter shows all pics (till the load more button appears). Is it possible to shift this “All” button to the right? I mean why load so many pics on homepage? Let the visitor click on “All” for it?

2winFactor

Hi Ghitorni,

Thanks so much for your interest! I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

I’m not exactly sure what you mean, but you could move the “all” button to the end of the line of links if you want. Then you’d have to only show the first filtered items instead. However, that would involve customizations to the theme.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Andre

Default-user

Thanks. My client has 11 categories and over 100 pics. Using the All button would force the theme to show all. Whereas any single filter would contain around 10 pics, ATM. So the page loading will be awesome too. Would it be possible in a future update (as an option)? As customizations could lead to unique problems only I would face. Anyway, thanks for your quick reply.

2winFactor

Hi Ghitorni,

The “All” button, only shows all the categories, not all the posts. Meaning if you only decide to show 20 posts (before the load more button), the all button only shows those 20 posts. The other filters will only filter the 20 posts that are loaded on the page.

Andre

Love this theme, couple questions:

Is it possible to center the logo with the menu below? Is the text slider below the menu an option, or is that built in? How difficult is it to remove the categories above the gallery? The gallery images are pulled from the page image? Are the gallery block sizes fixed? Can the hover animations be edited?

2winFactor

Hi SteveBusch,

Thanks so much for your interest! I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

You’d need to enter some custom css in the Theme Options panel to center the logo and remove the logo beneath it. There are several threads on the support forum that give this custom css, but I’d be happy to help as well.

You can easily hide those category filters with some custom css in the Theme Options panel as well. I can assist you with that too.

The gallery images on homepage are pulled from the post or portfolio items featured images. For each post or portfolio item you feature on the homepage you can choose between the slim, square or large sizes.

However animations can be edited with some custom css in the Theme Options panel.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Andre

SteveBusch

So it’s not possible to have those images on the homepage link to pages?

2winFactor

Hi SteveBusch,

Not without some modifications.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Andre

Hi,

I am looking to add an unlimited amount of images in the small squares on the home page grid. When you scroll down is it possible to keep loading/creating new squares as the user scrolls down or is there only a certain amount of squares you can add?

Sorry might be a bit confusing to understand. You see this feature on many websites.

Thanks

2winFactor

Hi Bnolan82,

Thanks so much for your interest! I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Sure, however you’d need to make a small modification and remove some code from the custom javascript file included with the theme. I’d be happy to assist you with that, but you would need to edit a theme file.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Andre

Hi Andre,

I think the term I was looking for is infinite scroll, is it possible to have this on the home page where i can then separate images into various categories. Also when a person clicks on an image/illustration to view can they then be re-directed to shopping cart to purchase?

Thanks again

2winFactor

Hi Bnolan82,

Yep – infinite scroll is enabled with the theme. I’ve just enabled the option to click to load them instead of scroll. You’d need to make a modification to the custom.js file to get them to load on scroll.

As far as being redirected to a shopping cart, perhaps a redirection plugin might work for what you’re looking for:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/redirection/

Andre

Hi,

I bought the theme yesterday and so far it looks awesome! But I’m having trouble adjusting the height of my featured image.

How do I do this?

Thanks!

2winFactor

Hi Speedingcars11,

Thanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!

However, I’m not sure I understand your question. Are you having trouble picking a size for your post grid or is the featured image not fitting in the grid size? Could you start a new topic on the Support Forum and explain this a bit more? I’d be happy to help! Thanks!
