Hi Dan,
Thanks for your comment. Firstly, regarding the fonts, Museo 500 Regular is identical to Museo 500. I tested the .png on both Mac and PC (it seems “Regular” is the PC version of the Museo font) and after telling Fireworks to replace the font with the right version it worked fine.
Once you fix this issue it will solve a lot of your problems. As you stated, a lot of the text in the template is based on this font, an there are individual source files for each bit. Get these customised and you’ll be making real headway.
I don’t have the files to hand right now (using a friends macbook) but I’m certain there is a file in the source folder called “intro.png” (or something of that nature) in which you will find the envato screenshot you’re mentioning as well as the introductory text for you to change once you fix the font issue.
For your reference, the version of Fireworks was CS3 .
As I have offered other users, I am more than happy to send you a .psd version of the master source file (or rather upload it to your FTP , it’s too large to email). I’ve tried to upload it to ThemeForest several times but with the .psd in the final zip it brings the total file size up to 40 odd mb and the upload repeatedly fails.
Regarding the official classification of the template, I would choose “Web Template”, what do you say?
