Cute.. I have a few questions.. Can the colors be changed? Is the home page stuck like that?... my pictures suck . And is the tag line area optional or required? Lastly how many pages can fit on that top menu, it seems very small and my pages currently are long worded so I’m worried they won’t fit into this theme. Thank you in advance!

1. The colors can be changed however this will need to be done via CSS . You can use the WordPress custom background uploader to change the background from blue to whatever you would like.
2. You can remove that image carousel and just use posts with images if you like. There is a standard blog layout home page option.
3. Tag line is not required
4. Depending on the menu item length you can fit up to 7 links. I would suggest creating sub menu’s listing all your post & pages.

That is because the first widget area has no widgets. It shouldn’t do that, I will post the bug in our forums so we can create a hotfix soon.
Same applies with the background image problem. I will get that checked out asap.

i tried to use the wp background editor to change the background but it didnt’ work. any ideas?
the widget area 1 has OCMZ – Two Column
and then i thought i should add another widget just now after your thought, so i added Popular posts, but it didnt seem to have an effect. so right now, widget area 1 has two widgets and is still making the double line.
also, something interesting happened. at first i didnt have it, but then after playing with some settings and then going back to the widgets, “blog slider widget” and “blog body” suddenly appeared as places to put widgets.

Are you using the correct file? You need to use handmade_single.zip which will be found inside the main zip file which you’ve downloaded from Themeforest.

If you update the theme under Theme Options > Update, these errors should be corrected, we’ve released a hotfix for the theme which corrects a few issues with the theme including the errors which show up.
Many problems with this theme. I really like the way it looks and it is perfect for my blog, but there are browser compatibility issues with the menu and widget area. In addition, several text widgets either don’t display or are crammed in the bottom right side of the page, and there are many other small errors, too many of which to explain in this post. I really, really, like the way the theme looks, and it has potential to be a great theme once all of the kinks are hammered out.

Looking to purchase this theme, few questions.
1. Are the PSD files/font provided for the “Handmade” logo text so it can be modified?
2. Are you able to display the Author of the post? Possible to add related posts?
3. I see there is no comment functionality, is this possible to add?
4. Can I add/delete the widgets on the right of the blog along with the footer widgets?
5. Can I post videos/multiple images on the main blog page?
6. For the gallery, when clicked on a image and light box activates, it it possible to make the images scrollable left and right? and is it possible to view the full size image?

1. The PSD does come with the logo in it. However if you don’t have the font on your computer you won’t be able to customize it.
2. This isn’t built in unfortunately
3. There are comments built into the theme, here is an example.

5. You can post as many images as you like in a post however you are limited to one video.

Love the look of this them and am about to purchase! Is there a way to keep certain pictures on the home page, or will it always automatically update and rotate the pictures after each new post? I would like to be able to choose which pictures stay on that page if possible. Also, if you end up making this theme an ecommerce theme (I hope!!) would I have to repurchase, or would it be free with the update? Thanks!

You can set the pictures on the home page to display from a specific category. That way they can stay on the home page without being bumped down by updates on your general blog.
We do plan on doing an ecommerce version in early 2012 however it will be an extra $35 purchase as it involves quite a bit of work

You will need to use the handmade_single.zip file to install the theme, which is inside the main zip file which Themeforest provides when you download the theme package.
