Ok Thanks!
Hi Alex,
Do you know how to stop the rotation for the flex slider? I know there’s code in the custom.js, but not sure which one.
UPDATE:
I found the flexslider section in the custom.js file and just commented the code out. That seemed to do the trick. I’ll remove the comment when we’re ready to utilize the slider.
Thanks. Peter
Alex, For some reason the only way I can successfully see the image-gallery-slider is if the HTML file is saved on the root…why?
I would think you can use this css class in files anywhere as long as you properly declare the “style.css” in the header… right?
I see the image-gallery-slider class appear, but it doesn’t work when I save it to a folder outside of root.
Dear efpeters,
It’s a fact if you want to change location of your html file, then you need to change a path to css file. So please make sure you edited path to your css stylesheets.
Regards,
Alex
Alex,
I’ve rolled out this theme for my agencies Intranet. Sadly though, everyone is using IE8 and as a result are getting a “permission denied” error message for the IE8.js file in your footer.
The problem with this error is that users are being prompted “This page is accessing information that is not under its control…” every time they access a page.
Now, I have heard that it has something to do with cross-domain policy files, but was wondering if you or anyone have a solution.
Any help is MUCH appreciated!
Dear efpeters,
It seems your hosting company blocks that file. It may have been infected for some reason by someone while you developed the website.
It would be also great to have a link to your website.
Regards,
Alex
Alex,
How could this be seeing that all of these JS files were from the packet you provide…
...are you saying they’re infected, or could this be our internal network just being cautious? Mind you that IE9 and Chrome do NOT show this message…only when users use your design in IE8. I also noticed the same message accessing your demo when using IE8.
Unfortunately, I cannot send you a working link as this is behind a firewall.
Alex,
Here’s the errors we see when attempting to test your live demo in IE8.
Webpage error details
Message: Object doesn’t support this property or method Line: 680 Char: 5 Code: 0 URI: http://xhtml.webtemplatemasters.com/happiness/js/custom.js
Message: Permission denied Line: 6 Char: 9813 Code: 0 URI: http://ie7-js.googlecode.com/svn/version/2.1(beta4)/IE8.js
This slows down usage and causes the site to not work properly.
Dear efpeters,
Thanks for notifying us about that. We’ll fix this asap and make an update for this template.
Please follow us on our Twitter feed or Facebook to be always notified with any news/updates for our themes.
Regards,
Alex
Any luck on that file?
Sure, the template wes updated. We’ve notified our customers via our facebook and twitter feeds.
Great! So,if I re-download it then I’ll get the latest? Usually developers also place these sort of notifiers on their item detail page. BTW, your live preview still has the IE8 permission denied error…even if downloaded locally. seems like there’s a function call in the script that IE8 doesn’t allow.
Webpage error details
Message: Permission denied Line: 6 Char: 9813 Code: 0 URI: http://ie7-js.googlecode.com/svn/version/2.1(beta4)/IE8.js
We’ve fixed that again. Thanks for the notification. See the update in Monday.
Thanks! I noticed its fine now. Last question; if I were to implement the fix, what file should I copy over…there’s a lot in the template so looking to be efficient.
that error was caused by general.js file, so please re-download the main template archive and replace it in your theme, you also should add a few lines of code in head area in templates listed below (index, portfolio-2columns, portfolio-3columns, portfolio-4columns, portfolio-single, single-post, blog, gallery, index-2)
