I just purchased this theme and I am very disappointed. It is a very ‘bare’ theme. Can’t believe its priced so much for what is. Probably the simplest and most ‘non functional’ theme I’ve purchased so far. I would caution if you looking for a theme with a lot of functionality and ease….

designcrumbs

I’m sorry you feel that way. What you’re describing is exactly what a theme is. Theme’s usually do not provide functionality, rather they style your content.

And as far as the price point, that’s the price for ecommerce themes here on ThemeForest. A lot of extra work on my part needs to go into ecommerce themes to style the cart system into them and make it a very fluid process.

If you need help with something feel free to open a thread in my support forum http://support.designcrumbs.com and we can help you out.

I have purchased themes for half the price and they come fully loaded with everything needed to hit the ground running. I don’t just purchase style I purchase functionality too… disappointing. What is the refund policy?

designcrumbs

ThemeForest only refunds in case of a theme being faulty or not working as advertised, which I can assure you neither of which is true. You can find the policy here.

I stand by my products and if there is something you need help with, I will gladly help you out.

zwiersd

Sorry, but your theme is too simple for its worth. You don’t have alternate page options, no slider options. no sidebar options, you can’t centre or modify logo and menus (without having to access the css) no option to change background and colour. Header styles need to be done in the CSS. This is what I expect for $55 http://themeforest.net/item/fashion-shop-responsive-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/4739870

designcrumbs

Understood. I’m in the school of thought, as are many WP developers, that all of those items that other theme offers should be left to plugins. Pippin sums it up well in his article here: http://wp.tutsplus.com/articles/general/functionality-plugins-vs-themes/

zwiersd

Good luck with that….

How do I update the theme without losing all my products I have added? I have version 1.0

designcrumbs

Updating the theme won’t cause you to lose any of your products or any content. It only updates the code of the theme.

Hi, I am having a problem when clicking check out, It keeps saying this:

Invalid Mijireh Configuration In order to use Mijireh, you must enter your Mijireh access key in the Cart66 Settings Panel or use the WordPress page editor to replace the gateway shortcode on your store/checkout page with the checkout shortcode for the gateway you intend to use.

All I want to use is PAYPAL to accept payments, How do I set this up?

designcrumbs

This has to do with the plugin, not the theme. You should contact Cart66 support if you continue to have issues.

The problem you’re having is that you have the Mijireh shortcode on your checkout page, you need to remove that and replace it with a PayPal checkout. You can learn more at the Cart66 website.

I’m about to purchase the theme and I just wanted to make sure that the theme supported widgets in the sidebar ares like for a facebook like box, etc.

designcrumbs

You can put whatever Widgets you want in the sidebar areas. However, I can’t guarantee any third party plugins will work or style themselves into the theme. If they’re built up to current WP coding standards, they should be fine. I haven’t heard any reports at all about any Facebook plugins, so assume they work fine.

Default-user

That’s what I was thinking but wanted to be sure! Thank you!

designcrumbs

Sure thing!

Having some issues. I created a topic on your website for help!

Sounds good! We’ll check it out!

This is a great theme and integrates very well with both Cart66 and Gravity Forms. I also really appreciate how white-label it is, super easy to customize!

Well done.

designcrumbs

Awesome, thanks man! I really appreciate the kind words!

Hello Thanks for the theme. I bought it for my ecommerce about 3 months ago. I like it, it suits mu business very well. However I’m concerned about the last stages of checkout. We have put different shipping prices for different areas of the world but it seems to me that if someone (after entering their country from the drop down menu) doesn’t update the total before he clicks on the payment gateway button and gets transferred to the payment gateway website to pay; well that person won’t pay the correct shipping price. Is this a basic flaw or is there a way to automatically correlate country and shipping fee at this stage?

Also, are the latest products I put on the website the ones that will appear on the home page or can I rearrange the order.

designcrumbs

Thanks for the kind words! I’d appreciate a 5 star rating on the theme if you haven’t done so already. Here’s how to do that.

The latest products you put on the site are the one that show up on the home page. If you want to change the order, you can change the post date of any of the products in your dashboard to reorder them.

As far as the checkout, that has nothing to do with the theme. That’s 100% the Cart66 plugin. You can go to http://cart66.com and they’ll be able to help you with that over there.

Again, glad you’re happy with the theme!

Hello! I am considering purchasing this theme as I am using Cart66 for a client.

Usually I use Genesis Framework for my sites, however I am trying to get this E-Commerce site done as quickly as possible.

My client does not have any pictures at all for their 200+ products, so the JQuery hover feature is not really needed for this site.

My question is: what are the benefits of this theme in integration with Cart66? This website will need to rely on my styling because there is no product pictures. Is it easily to customize via creating a child theme (will need custom BG, header, etc. I know CSS/ HTML, little PHP)? Will this theme help with the “styling” of individual products and save me some time?

designcrumbs

The benefit of this this is that it’s styled for all of the output of Cart66. In addition to that it has a few extras in there such as the listing of the products on the home page, links to the main store page, an ajax counter in the cart in the header, etc.. Individual product pages have a specific layout that pulls the ‘Add To Cart’ section over to the side and styles it accordingly.

As long as you’re comfortable with CSS and HTML, you should be fine. If all you need to do is remove the area for images, that’s just a little CSS.

Default-user

Great. I see what you mean. 2 more questions: Can I add custom sidebars? (I need one for her products and a separate sidebar for her contact page)? And I see you say there is a “counter” on the top that counts how many products you have in your cart. Is there a way to have the user click the “add to cart” button and not be taken to the checkout page?

Default-user

Also, Is there ability to make static homepage to add my own slider?

designcrumbs

There are sidebars for pages, the blog, and product listing pages but there are no sidebars on single products.

I believe Cart66 itself has the setting of what happens when Add To Cart is clicked. By default, the user is not taken anywhere when Add To Cart is clicked.

The home page as seen in the demo is what’s included in the theme. If you’d like to add a slider you’d need to do so on your own.

How do you display latest blog posts on the front page? It is only showing Products…

designcrumbs

That’s not an option in the theme. You’d need to customize it to display the latest blog posts.

Hi, I’m searching for cart66 theme and come across this theme. I always wanted to ask, cart66 is wordpress based, so basically any theme should fit, what is the different between this cart66 theme and other wordpress theme? Pls provide some real example

Thanks

designcrumbs

You’re correct. The difference is that this theme designs all of the elements that Cart66 puts onto your site so everything looks cohesive.

The product page has a specific area for the Cart info and the product images whereas a non-cart66 theme would display them just like a normal page or blog post.

This theme also has a cart link with a product counter in the header.

This theme displays products on the home page, has a dedicated store page, and dedicated archive pages for products. Any other theme only has standard posts and pages.

Hello,

Bought this theme several months ago. Have already stated that I am pleased with the theme but I will reiterate that this is a theme worth buying. My question is whether it is possible to create a page called gallery, where I can put 10 photos (5 on top of 5) on the page to showcase some of our products? Do you need to do some specific coding or is it just not possible?

Thanks for your help.

Default-user

You asked me to rate it a couple of months ago. I would put 4.5 stars but cant seem to find how to rate the theme.

designcrumbs

Building a gallery is just default WordPress functionality and works regardless of theme. Here’s a page that explains it http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-create-an-image-gallery-in-wordpress/

And you can rate the theme from your downloads page: http://themeforest.net/downloads

You can only rate full stars, so 4 or 5. Hopefully the latter ;)

Default-user

Yea Thanks for that quick response. Thats perfect . Put a quick 5 stars because of good customer service as well. Cheers

designcrumbs

Awesome. Thanks!

If I was to purchase the theme, is it possible to add 12 images instead of the 10 on the demo mode? And instead of 5×2 can I do 3×4?

Thanks

designcrumbs

You can put as many as you want on the page (and archives) but you can’t change them from 5 per line unless you rewrite the CSS.

Also, I’m finishing up another theme for Cart66 Cloud that will be available early next week.

Default-user

Ok cool, maybe I wait for that one then. Thanks a lot :)

designcrumbs

Still a work in progress, but here’s a sneak peek: http://dcrmbs.com/7xmd

shhhhhhhhhhhh ;)

How can I upload a logo on the theme?

Thanks

designcrumbs

Make sure you have the Options Framework plugin installed, and then it’s under Appearance > Theme Options.

Default-user

Thanks a lot – it is a very nice theme & I recommend it to everyone:)

Last question: In the demo, in the menu, when you click on store there are some sub-categories – how did you create them?

I tried by creating some parent pages but it did not work.

Thanks

designcrumbs
http://support.designcrumbs.com/help_files/hautewp/#menus

And the actual subcatagories in the demo are Product Types and Product Tags. If they don’t show up on your Appearance > Menu page, you may need to enable them under the screen options tab on the top right.

How do I add the Cart to the top right side as in your example? Thanks

designcrumbs

You need to add in the link to your Cart page under Appearance > Theme Options > Store Settings.

Hi, thank you for your great theme ! Nice job !

Is it possible to export the product list ? I need to save it !

Thank you

designcrumbs

I’m guessing you want to export the product list with the price and all that, right? That’s part of the Cart66 plugin, not part of the theme. You’ll need to contact them http://cart66.com for assistance.

If that’s not the case, let me know a little bit more about what you’re trying to do.

Hi. I want to make the thin line below the menu dotted. Is this possible? Thanks

designcrumbs

You can do so via CSS. I’d recommend doing this through a child theme.

Default-user

Hey. Could you PM me [e-mail removed] a quote for how much you would charge to do it? Thanks.

Default-user

Also is it possible for the cart to display in different currencies and have other methods of payment… e.g.. A Visa card and not just Paypal? Thanks

designcrumbs

Cart66 Pro and Cloud accept different forms of payment; The theme simply styles the plugin, so you’ll need the plugin as well. The free version of Cart66 (Cart66 Lite) only accepts PayPal.

I sent your other comment to Envato staff so they can remove your email address :) If all you want to do is make that line dotted instead of solid, it’s literally one word you need to change in the CSS. We can help you with that in my support forum at http://support.designcrumbs.com – If you’d really like us to just do it for you, you could fill out the form here: http://support.designcrumbs.com/customizations/

Hi. I’m having an issue with the shopping cart being responsive when I shrink my screen down to phone size. See image here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/rrkv0f7olqm1xko/responsivecartissue.png

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thank you!

Hi there. Would the Woo Themes Currency Selector Plugin work in the Cart 66 shop? Or can I just use a Woo Commerce shop. Sorry a little new to the whole e-commerce side of things. Thanks

designcrumbs

Hello! Sorry, no. The theme only works with Cart66. It’s not designed for anything Woo.

Hi I need help, I don’t know if you can help me, I have everything set up everything is working except the sales tax are not add to the PayPal page before I pay? And I setup tax in my PayPal account and the tax are showing on cart66 but not charge by paypal. I call paypal but they said it’s a problem with WordPress. And Cart66 said it’s a Paypal problem???? Idon’t know what to do, do you have an idea? Thanks

designcrumbs

Dang. Unfortunately, I don’t have an answer for you either… The theme simply styles the output of things, it doesn’t actually have any of the cart functionality in it. So I’m afraid this is over my head. I think you’ll have to work it out with Cart66 and PayPal.

Default-user

Thanks for you response, i already talk with each other and they it’s each other’ fault… _ I continue searching the WWW.

designcrumbs

Oh jeez. That sounds like a complete nightmare. I’m so sorry!

Default-user

I found a solution, instead of using paypal express checkout, I deleted API infos from cart66 Pro and use Paypal checkout, now it work perfecly. Yeah ! The support at cart66 and Paypal is not helpful at all. By the way ,thank for your so beautiful and simple to use theme ;)

designcrumbs

Ugh. Well, glad to hear you got it worked out and now I know if anybody else asks! Thanks for checking back in!
