Cannot figure out why the header and the rest of the body do not line up. Also, why does the text in a page have no spacing. It is smashed against the sides and I have to use css to get it off the edges. Look at http://www.primeequityresearchllc.com/

Hi Thudson83,

Thanks for the question. It’s hard to say since were talking about a theme that has customizations introduced to it. I am happy to take a closer look for you, but I’ll need you to upload a fresh/stock copy of the theme since this doesn’t look to be coming from the theme.

After taking a second look, try removing the custom styling from style.css:

*, *:before, *:after {
  -moz-box-sizing: border-box;
}

For all future custom styling, I recommend adding it to Appearance > Theme Options > Custom CSS panel. If you are still having issues with the stock theme, please let me know by filing a ticket at our dedicated support forum: http://themeisland.ticksy.com

Hey, when are you going to add eCommerce and Events Calendar Pro support?

ThemeIsland

Hi Mediayouneed,

Thanks for the question! Both of these are integrations that I’ve been considering seriously, but simply haven’t had the time to start work on. I want to spend some time on these, though, so we get them right the first time around. I plan on working on the Events Calendar Pro integration for Campus first, then I am happy to take a look at supporting this for Hedge (same with Woo Commerce). Hedge was built for a corporation with static information, but I totally understand wanting to have this supported in this theme. With that said, these are plugins that you are welcome to integrate since this they are not timelined yet, but I will do my best to get to these feature requests.

In the mean time, check out the latest features that I’ve been working on: http://special8.themeisland.net/

Cheers! Charlie

Just updated the option tree plugin and got lots of errors, this is an example of lazy bad design, so lazy that you can’t build a few options and use a plugin and the theme breaks if you update the plugin.

Hi jk000jk,

Thanks for the heads up and I apologize about the inconvenience.

I have an update that I am planning on releasing this week that should fix this when updating the OptionTree plugin. If you would like it now, please file a ticket at our dedicated support forum and verify your purchase on your ticket. I will be happy to provide it for you.

As for updating the plugin, you can still use the version included without any issues. Updating the OptionTree plugin does not add any feature to the theme, but I understand wanting to update this plugin when prompted.

Please file a ticket at our dedicated support forum if you are still having issues so that we can help: http://themeisland.ticksy.com/

It’s really just one line of code in functions.php that seems to have been the culprit. We have coded this theme to WordPress and Themeforest standards and have made every effort to make this work for everyone who has purchased a copy.

Feedback like this is the best way to inform us of any issues, so that we can provide updates and patches. Issues like this do come up once in a while, though, so constructive feedback is really helpful. I am happy to everything in my power to get these fixed right away. Please be patient as this is the first and only ticket that I see from you on this issue. I completely understand your frustration, and would love to get this fixed for you.

Cheers, Charlie

Hello, I’ve purchased this theme and have installed it twice on two different servers, but both times I receive and error after installation “Connection to Google Fonts API failed. Please try it again later.”

How can this be fixed? Thanks in advance.

Hi mydreamsite,

There are a couple different things that can cause this including an old theme version, local host setup, and maintenance mode plugins. We recommend starting troubleshooting by uploading a fresh/stock copy of the theme, and deactivating any non-theme-included third party plugins.

If you are still having issues with this, feel free to file a ticket at our dedicated support forum with a temp login and temp FTP connection for us to further diagnose this for you: http://themeisland.ticksy.com/

Just installed the theme and when hovering over the nav, my hover and background box are white. I thought I specified this correctly? The color only corrects when I make the header color black

Hi pol901pol,

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. It looks like this option needs to be updated. I’ll work on including this with the next theme update, but for now the quickest way to swap this out is with a simple CSS snippet. Try adding this to Appearnce > Theme Options > Custom CSS:
#menu-main-menu li:hover {
  background-color: #afafaf !important;
}
And using an online color picker to help with the value selection: http://www.colorpicker.com/ If you are still having issues after that, please let me know. We also have a dedicated support forum if you need some more hands on help: http://themeisland.ticksy.com/
