OpenCart 1.4.9 :)

tomsky

Hi

It works fine under 1.4.9.5. So in your case, there may be a problem with your hosting (http://icsd07055.x10.bz/ should display your store). Is it some kind of free hosting? What version of PHP is it running on?

HI, my store is www dot thedenimexchange dot com, how can i make the “sub” categories display on the page too?

tomsky

Hi

Check out Craig Murray’s article:

http://craigmurray.me.uk/opencart-mods/how-to-list-all-categories-and-sub-categories-in-the-header-in-opencart/

This one is on displaying categories menu in the header, but basic idea is the same.

I am sorry, but I am new to OpenCart and this is a bit confusing. Can you tell me where I would put the code at?

Thanks!

tomsky

Hi

Yeah, you will need to edit catalog/ controller/ module/ catalog.php file.

The review drop down is buggy for me, when i click on it – it changes to white then i have to click on the additional images panel above to open up the reviews panel???

Add to cart button on the latest product panel has an issue with the placement of the text.

nice looking template though!

Hi

Thanks for your message. What OS and browser are you using? What’s the URL of your site? Please answer here of via e-mail.

Does this work with the new OpenCart 1.5?

tomsky

Hi

Not at the moment, the current OC 1 .5 version has a lot of bugs. The theme will be updated to 1.5 when the stable version is released (probably 1.5.1).

nice work…

Hi Tomsky,

excelent work, i am thinking in buying this template, but i see a problem on the demo. When you mouse over the first products and that image loads, whenever the slider changes, those top images stay behind it… Could you fix it?

Cheers,

Alex

tomsky

Hi

Thanks for your kind words. Can you tell me what browser and OS you are using while experiencing the problem?

Hello,

I wish to display all products on my home page instead of latest products. Since i have only 10 products i wish they can be displayed on the home page only. Can you help me out.

Or if there is an way where i can display the products that i wish on the home page..

tomsky

Hi

By default in openCart you can only display latest or featured products on your homepage. But since you only have 10 products and want to display all of them on the homepage, the easiest way to do so would be to log in to your admin panel and change latest home module settings to display 10 products.

hello,

Thanks for your reply. i used Featured module and it solved my query to some extent…..there is one more query that i have….since the currency symbol of INDIA has changed….can you let me know how i can get the same into my template….

tomsky

Hi

Currency symbols are not edited by the theme, so you should find currency.php and currency.tpl files and edit symbols there.

I have just purchased this item – how can I increase the size of the mouse over effect?

tomsky

Hi

Thanks for buying my theme.

What mouse over effect do you mean?

Default-user

when I put my mouse over a product – the image shows bigger – like an image zoom

tomsky

you can edit this effect through js. file (custom.js) and also you’ll need to change the size of additional image (this is located in featured.php in catalog/ controller / module).

Hi Tomsky,

i have only 1 question befor purchasing your theme:

is it possible to resize the with of the jquery slider to 50% – i will put a video on its right side width same size- without make mistakes in the css optimisation for each browser.

Thanks

Akos

tomsky

Hi Akos,

Yes, it is possible. The width of the slider can be edited in the admin panel.

However, if you need to add something to the right of the slideshow, you’ll have to edit some css and also one of the template’s file.

I will give you more details if you decide to go ahead with those changes.

I think this change should be straightforward and it shouldn’t cause any problems to IE browsers.

Hi ,

This is kinda my first project on opencart and i have just purchased your theme but i’m getting an error on the top of homepage ….

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home1/sharepo5/public_html/appleprostick/catalog/controller/module/homepageslideshow.php on line 22 Warning: array_multisort() [function.array-multisort]: Argument #1 is expected to be an array or a sort flag in /home1/sharepo5/public_html/appleprostick/catalog/controller/module/homepageslideshow.php on line 25

Can you assist me on this?

My website is at applestickpro.com

Thanks and btw it is a very nice theme…

Regards, Fauzi

tomsky

Hi

Thanks for buying my theme.

Your error is caused because you have not added any slides to the slideshow, just add one and it will run without problems :)

When will you update to work with 1.5

tomsky

Hi,

It’s really not that straightforward to update theme to OpenCart 1.5 so I cannot really promise any ETA . But it’s on my ‘to do list’.

Tomsky-

This is my first OpenCart project and I’m having a little issue. I followed your instructions to what I thought was a T.

My only template option is default on the admin backend. I simply overwrote the existing files via FTP and when I go to catalog->view->theme, I do see the theme files.

In the backend of the site default is the only theme option. I’ve logged out and refreshed many times. This is OpenCart 1.4.9.5. Any ideas?

Am I just missing something simple?

Thanks!

tomsky

Hi

Thanks for buying my theme.

Do you have files or folders inside catalog/ view / theme? It should be high street folders alongside ‘default’ folder.

You can also e-mail me with temporary FTP access and login/ password to your store panel admin and I’ll have a look for you.

Regards

Thomas

Love this theme and am pleased with my purchase. Will be VERY glad when you have 1.5 version especially since OpenCart’s current version is 1.5.0.5 now.

Anyway, I have disabled the slider in the modules menu but am getting the following when hitting refresh in my browser: “Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/incog/public_html/shop/catalog/view/theme/highStreet-black/template/module/homepageslideshow.tpl on line 43”

I know nothing about TPL files so I need your help in disabling the slider from view. Thank you.

tomsky

Hi,

Thanks for buying. The update it on its way but it takes a lot of time to update theme to 1.5 (basically you have to do everything again…).

So for the slider, you’ll need to open home.tpl (in t\catalog\view\theme\highStreet\template\common – obviously in will be in different folder if you’re using other that default colour skin) and delete those lines from this file: <?php echo $homepageslideshow; ?>

Regards

tomsky

Great thank you. However, I did want to just comment it out for when we’re ready to display a slider… but the commenting practice i know of ”//” was ignored so deletion was necessary.

Secondly, even though the slider is gone, I still have this error message: Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/incog/public_html/shop/catalog/controller/module/homepageslideshow.php on line 22Warning: array_multisort() [function.array-multisort]: Argument #1 is expected to be an array or a sort flag in /home/incog/public_html/shop/catalog/controller/module/homepageslideshow.php on line 25

Ideas?

tomsky

Hi

Sorry abut the problem. I think you’ll also have to edit home.php (catalog / controller / common) and comment out lines 123 – 131:

//New module position above welcome message //For Homepage Slideshow $module_data2 = $this->model_checkout_extension->getExtensionsByPosition(‘module’, ‘slideshow’); $this->data[‘modules2’] = $module_data2; //End new module position

foreach ($module_data2 as $result) {
    $this->children[] = 'module/' . $result['code'];
}

Please let me know if you have any trouble with that, I can also send you edited file if you leave me your e-mail address.

Regards

Thomas

Hi …. i would like to disable the image zoom on the latest products on my homepage … you did mention that that i have to edit the custom.js file.

I’m a newbie in opencart where can i disable this feature ….

my site is at http://www.appleprostick.com

I purchase this theme back in 30 June but now my partner wants it disabled…. Thanks…

Regards, Fauzi

tomsky

Hi Fauzi,

Open up custom.js file for the theme version you’re using, and comment out or detele the code from line 32 (jQuery(document).ready(function() {) to line (including this line) 79: ( (}); ). Alternatively, just leave me your e-mail and I’ll send you this file.

Regards

Thomas

Hey… yeah, no go… the page doesn’t render at all now and I’m getting this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE, expecting T_FUNCTION in /home/incog/public_html/shop/catalog/controller/common/home.php on line 134

My email address is kelley@incog-nito.com. Thank you! ;)

E-mail sent

Hi,

Kinder and Gentle are running on OC1 .5 – so do you have an ETA now for this one?

Thanks, Andrew

tomsky

Probably 2 – 3 weeks because this is a complex job (7 colour skins make it even harder…)

Regards

Thomas

Hi ,

Sorry to be a bother again.

I did a related products to each product that i’m displaying .Unfortunately the related products doesn’t display and the review section section doesn’t display as well.

Regards, Fauzi

tomsky

Hi Fauzi,

Can you tell me what OpenCart version you’re using and also send me a URL to your store so I can investigate the problem?

Regards

Thomas
