Just FYI . There are definitely some odd issues viewing it on the iPad mini. The regular blog layout looks really smushed and tiny and then reading a blog post it puts the side bars underneath the comments area.
On the “layer” homepage layout, the items listed under “why choose” are all jumbled and not fitting correctly.
Is there a way to remove the responsive layout feature?

I wonder if I could change the way portfolio items are displayed. For example to not show lightbox style and when you click on a picture to enter directly in the portfolio/project page.

Hi! I’ve noticed on the regular iPad the blog columns are not displaying properly, specifically the Masonry 2, 2 with column, 3 and 4 layouts.

Also, would I be able to add an archive section/page under blogs for months, content category, file format type and tags?
There is no support for archive page unfortunately.
I have just installed this theme, how do you set up home page ‘Revolution and Content’ – I have just checked back to the demo for reference and the header and navigation go all funny when you hover on the navigation links.
One other question is I have tried to import the revolution slider demo data and layer slider demo data however I have looked at the documentation and I still don’t know how to do it. On the revolution slider import data there doesn’t seem to be ‘show export/import’ button at the button of the page.

1. The easiest way to set up home page ‘Revolution and Content’ is to import XML file from the package.
2. Sorry we didn’t mention it in the documentation, you need first to create the slider then you can easily import the demo.

1. In the Portfolio, if you have a Portfolio Category whose name is more than one word (“New Work”), this may break the filtering for the category, revealing nothing even if there are items in the category. The fix is the rename the Portfolio Category as one word. Adding a dash does the trick (“New-Work”).
2. In the Portfolio, I see you have different mouseovers for photos and for videos. In the demo, the mouseover is a red translucent panel with an icon in the center. I can’t figure out how to trigger this; all of my videos have image icons on the mouseover. Where is this handled?

Can you tell me how to make the page titles display on the page? Or do I need to manually type it in?
I purchased the theme yesterday – you have released an updated version today – do I just redownload from here and upload to my site?
At the moment this is not included within the theme however with some modification you can easily manage to achieve this.
If you would like page title to be appear in full width page for example then you need to paste this code:

Hi, when I try to create a new page the ‘Home Settings’ box appears under the ‘Page Setting’ box and then disappears straight away. Any ideas?
Update: I have just see that you have the change the ‘Page Attrubutes’ on the right sidebar.

Please note: a ‘Home Settings’ metabox appears only when selecting the ‘Home Royal’, ‘Home Revolution’, ‘Home Layer’ or ‘Home Refine’ from the Page Attributes section.
I have a few questions:
1) I can’t seem to make the map on contact page a UK address 2) The contact details I enter for the contact page i.e telephone number etc do not display on the site 3) I can’t make the first portfolio page appear with all the portfolio items as per your demo, it appears to look like a classic blog page 5) Can I set the order in which project appear in the portfolio? If so, how? 4) When I resize my browser smaller the navigation disappears completely 5) How do I change the colour of a left hand navigation link when I am on the active page – it currently displays as red. 6) when there is a long page title in the left hand navigation it bleeds out of the arrow effect – is there any way these arrows can fit to the content within them?

To set up the contact page, select the ‘Contact’ template from the Page Attributes section and click Publish. The contact page is separated in two parts. On the bottom it displays the content entered in the the main text editor of the page and on the top the informations that you give in Theme Options (Appearance > Theme Options > Contact Infos).
Please note: you have to install the Contact Form 7 plugin. You can either download it from here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/contact-form-7/ and activate it or go to Plugins > Add new, search for “Contact Form 7”, hit ‘Install Now’ and activate it. Once installed, navigate to the plugin settings page under Contact menu in order to create a form. Once you’re done, copy the generated shortcode that is similar to [contact-form 1 “Contact form 1”] and paste it in your contact page.
You can select the number of columns you would like to display on the portfolio page at ‘Portfolio Settings’ metabox.
You can set the order in which project appear in the portfolio by editing the date of portfolio items. We will consider to built an advanced drag and drop sorting so you can achieve this at ease.
Please wait for the update. The issue with changing the colour of a left hand navigation link has been fixed.
Navigation working just fine with the latest browser versions, just like the demo.
It’s certainly possible these arrows can fit to the content within them but it would take a certain amount of customisation in order to achieve.

Hi there! I finally purchased the theme – i love it!
I have 2 issues though: I read your response to the person above but i’m still having trouble importing the revolution slider. The instructions a very different from what is actually in the current version of WP.
Also, how do we download updates to WP if we’ve already installed the theme?

Yes, the other one will stop playing when you start another one but there’s no shortcode for audio files included as yet, if there is enough call for it them possibly something which could be added. Currently the theme only supports the audio player that displays via audio template in a blog post.

Hi, you can easily create the ‘section titles’ like ‘what you’re saying’ and ‘some of our clients’ on the homepage by pasting this line of code to your visual editor:
Currently the theme only supports the audio player that displays via audio template in a blog post. It would be ideal for the ability to embed that audio player in a post or page so music/audio files may be played with the same player in other places on a site (to maintain design consistency among other reasons).
A shortcode would suit me, or some other remedy.
If you’re reading this and want this feature as well, please encourage its inclusion.

I have a few questions about the Higher theme
1. On your demo pages, you have a small ‘Higher’ logo at the top of the page, between the phone number and email address on the left and the search box on the right. I need a logo that is much bigger than this. The logo would need to be about 940 pixels wide and 200 pixels high and would need to be at the top of the pages. Is it possible and easy to achieve and would the pages still be responsive?
2. Are there any colours that cannot be changed from within the admin panels?
3. Would it be possible for me to see the theme documentation before purchasing the theme? I’m asking this because I’ve wasted a lot of money recently on themes that I find extremely difficult to use. I also have some very good, straightforward to use themes but I’m not willing to risk wasting more money. For example, when I add content, I want to do it via the normal WP interface and not mess around adding blocks etc.
4. Can I add photos to the pages (aligned with the text) and the pages will still be responsive

1. It’s certainly possible yes however you will need to alter both the HTML & CSS .
2. You can change all colours except footer area.
3. Our documentation don’t cover all the features unfortunately but the theme includes custom shortcodes integrated in default editor that allow you to easily add blocks with different width.

I’m still having minor issues adding / changing the shortcodes. This is probably due to my lack of experience more than anything else.
Can anyone tell me how to edit the button and info box colors?

All the short codes can be accessed from the post or page options, in the visual tab. Just click on the button ”+” sign, then select which shortcode you want to display and click ‘Insert shortcode‘ and the short code will be added.
If you wish to change the color of the shortcode button you need to change the ‘style‘ value. Available values: orange, blue, green, yellow, red, pink, purple, black. So the shortcode button should look like this:
Please note: you can’t change the Contact Form 7 button’s and info boxes colours from the theme options panel unfortunately but you would need to modify the theme’s CSS to make any appearance changes. It shouldn’t be a huge change.
To change the Contact Form 7 button’s colour open style.css file and on line 446 you will find
You need to change #CC8300 and #CC4900 values.
To change the Contact Form 7 info box success message colour open style.css file and on line 527 you will find
You need to change #E3EBC6 value to your own.
You can do the same for error message but on line 516.
