kalon17 how did you get the nivo slider to show the images nicely? when I selected the nivo slider, my images have vertical lines cutting through them just before changing to the next slide.
Also, does anyone now how to add a (right) sidebar to the homepage that has a slider? I’m trying to add it in widgets but it doesn’t show up on the homepage…

1. you just need to change the sliding effect in theme options
2. there is no ability to add sliders to the sidebars
Thanks ThemeMakers, I’ve added another comment about the comments form not working. Can you please let me know if there is a fix for that? When a user fills out the ‘leave a reply’ section of a blog post they get a 404 page. I read something about this not being an issue with older versions of Wordpress but I already built the website on the latest version.
Could you please suggest a solution for this? It’s a very important issue that I think needs to be fixed.

I think it depends on version of wordpress, I’d suggest you to wait a little, currently we’re preparing a new stable version for this theme (a lot of things are improved/updated, new theme options panel is realized), I hope in the end of next week it will have a chance to be here
I made the images oversized and then it crops them down. Mine are 978*395. Of course they don’t link to anywhere so thats a major issue though…

Thanks for replying kalon17! I wanted to ask you, since the developer is not replying to my comments here, are you having an issue with the comments section? ie. under blog posts? Everytime I’ve tested it and left a comment I get a 404 page not found! Help?!
That issue may appear if you use the latest wordpress version for the theme. Now you have two ways to resolve it:
1. use a wordpress version which is pointed in theme page (not the latest).
2. wait about a week or maximum two for a new release of the theme, where would be realized our fully new framework and re-coded theme on html5/css3 which is lighter for browsers, decreased time to load pages and a lot’s of new things.

Pretty frustrating developer. I NEVER received an invitation code for support and have a major problem with the theme.

If you are having issues getting the verification code to work on the contact us page, make sure you have “register_globals” set to “off” in your php.ini settings. The verification code system uses session variables, and if that setting isn’t correct then wordpress clears out your session variables.
nikiliapis, Haven’t gotten that far yet. Still trying to setup my landing page but this slideshow looks gorgeous and doesn’t link to anything. Since the dev isn’t responding I guess its time for me to submit my rating. I’ve bought this theme twice (I used it on two customers). Guess I get to rate this twice! Wish the dev would respond….
As I wrote to a previous buyer, there is no option in this theme to link sliders images, but there is ability to add buttons with links.

Hi nikiliapis, I’m really sorry for that, I’ve had a vacation for last two weeks. So now I’m able to help everybody. At first, there is no ability to link whole slides, but there is an ability to add a button for each slider with your link if needed.

1. there is a field inside slide (post type) for your button link
2. it seems it’s because of one plugin you’ve installed, please check it.
Hi i’ve few problems with this Theme. 1. After install my theme has not the same style like in example (http://themeforest.net/item/horizon-premium-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/1932283)-> definitely menu and slides is not like in example. I configured it choosing homepage- nivo slider and and menu in menu options. What i should to correctly display this theme? Please give quick answer, it’s important

Hi i’ve question about the blog section in horizon tmplate. I can’t modify this section in php file (blog-template.php), every change what i do is not respected by page. It seems like the blog section reading information from another source (not templat-blog) but from which? Hi Thememakers I really need your help. All of a sudden certain things stopped working in my theme that were fine before. Could you please take a look and sort these issues out? Website is: www.businessangel.ca
Here are the things that are not working anymore:
1. Scrolling testimonials- they are showing up individually so I changed it to only one because it was showing up vertically in the sidebar
2. The footer widgets are not showing up horizontally anymore so again, I changed it to only one because they were showing up vertically!
3. How exactly do I add slider links to the Nivo slider? Please explain where I add the link in the slider- you said something about a button? I used the shortcode it did not work!
Please address these ASAP as this website went live a couple of weeks ago!

For those of you that have a similar problems like [nikiliapis] and I have.
Here’s how to fix it:
Go to Themes Folder > horizon > admin > classes
Find and open file called core.class.php
Go to line: 253
Replace line:
wp_register_script('jquery', 'http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1/jquery.min.js');With this:
wp_register_script('jquery', 'https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7/jquery.min.js');Please let me know if this works for you.
