HQ Photography Responsive WP Theme

Hello please help me with setting up the gallery! I followed the video exactly but the full screen will not work. Nothing shows up. I need my gallery to look like the demo site. I am also new to wordpress so if there are additional steps i need to take to make the gallery that are not shown in the video please let me know. I want to launch my site ASAP . only thing in the way is the gallery.

Well done!

I user tested the theme here at themeforest with live preview on iphone, ipad2 and laptop 15” to see how it works across the devices/formats in real case testing.

Here is some feedback:

It appears the mobile has a problem to display the info-box from the gallery/portraits, when hitting the info-icon. The screen then turns white, no way back besides reload.

For ipad the toggle thumbs option when browsing the full screen image is a bit sketchy when hitting the 4-square icon bottom left on/off, etc.

On the startpage, when the left menu is expanded, the left menu options “Home”, “About”, etc is swipable vertically – in rare occasion a user may actually by accident swipe away the menu (dissapears below the logo layer upwards).

For the touch devices i would generally appreciate more swipe functionality / visualization left/right instead of using the same transition visual as the desktop function where its zoomifying the transition of next image.

For touch device its intuitive to swipe things, its becoming the natural / expected behaviour – rather than clicking (which is more desktop like behaviour).

For laptop its generally working very well.

Pretty good responsiveness, though more swiping may be wanted – and some minor bugs to fix seem to remain as mentioned above. (the info-box on the mobile version seems pretty urgent though)

Hi I just brought the theme, but I’m having problems installing it. Unpacking the package…

Installing the theme…

The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

Theme install failed.

This is the message I keep getting and when I unpacked it there was nothing it could read. Is there an instruction piece I could could get to follow along?

Hi, Thanks for making cool themes.

I can’t seem to get youtube videos to work using the BACKGROUND / SLIDER SETTINGS . Vimeo videos works fine but is there any way to get the videos to play in HD or higher quality

Congrats on the theme. Very attractive theme with great potential.

However, there are a number of issues I’m having:

1) The main menu does NOT always stay visible, even when it selected to be visible from the General Settings tab in the HQ Manager.

2) The Photo Gallery doesn’t show the way it should (the way it shows in the demo). And sometimes, it doesn’t show at all. I believe there’s some kind of error causing this. I have no 3rd party plugins installed. I followed the directions in the documentation and video. Still, no dice.

3) I want to eliminate the phrase: “Call us -” above the copyright information on the menu. I deleted it from the Translator tab in the HQ Manager. However, if I try to change anything in the HQ manager, once I save the settings, the “Call us -” phrase comes back. Its as though no matter what I save, it comes back. I’m sure I could try to find out how to eliminate it completely in .php but it may be an error that others can’t fix.

Hi Mad dog, Very cool theme and so far the best wordpress theme I seen. I have a question,the gallery crop the picture in wrong place,what the best size pictures for gallery.Keep the good work

Theme looks great. Just 2 questions.

1. Demo doesn’t load on iPad 1st gen, iOS 5.1.1. It kept loading on homepage, and finally crashed Safari

2. Will the theme be updated in future? And how do we get the updates, and do we pay for the updates?

Hi, how can i make a homepage on this theme? Even though I dont have any blog posts it always goes to a blank page with BLOG as the heading.

Also, if i update my theme to the current version will i lose all my site content/theme settings?

Hi, Does the nav use ajax? I have an ajax image display plug in I’m needing to use for the site I’d chosen HQ for. But the pages with the ajax plug in playing, the nav does not work and the social/contact pop outs from the right are 300 pixles too low and do not work.

Or are those jQuery based? If so then It may be a double jquery call.
