Thank you for making such an easy to understand theme, with good documentation too.
One issue I am having, is that the page I designate as my “Blog”, the custom sidebar doesn’t seem to work. Every other Page and Post it works just fine, but the “Blog” page only seems to use the Default Sidebar. Not sure if this is a problem, or just the way that WordPress assigns that sidebar to that type of page.
Since all posts will use the Default Sidebar, I only have a few pages which I will assign custom sidebars to. So by default for new posts, it will just use the Default Sidebar anyway. (If that makes any sense…)
Keep up the good work, and I don’t regret this purchase at all!

It looks like I overlooked this page when making that update… and the page also is a little funny how it handles custom sidebars since it uses more than one post on the page…
Not sure how familiar with code you are… I’ll eventually push an update to fix this, but if you need a fix right away… I can tell you a hack for it…
in the index.php near the bottom you’ll see code similar to this:

where the XXXX is in the code above… you’ll need to replace it with the Post ID of your “Blog” page…
after doing that… save it.. and then the the custom_sidebar widget should be working for that page…
Like I said… at some point I’ll update this, but this is a quick fix…

Great Theme. I have purchased and set it up easily thanks to your great instructions and documentation.
BTW this theme convinced me to move from Joomla to Wordpress and I am glad I did.
One question and this maybe more wordpress specific. How would I go about hiding the read more buttons for some posts.
For example I want a “static intro text” post and image for the main homepage image. But it shows the read more and I would rather not have visitors clicking any deeper on this post.
I hope that question makes sense.

The adjustments you want can’t be easily done with out editing the code, something along the lines of checking the post ID’s and then hiding the button when those post ID’s are called… but if you have some PHP skills… it can be done…

Gallery Images and Videos use their own WP 3 .0 Custom Post Type… so there’s normal posts, and then there’s image/video posts that pertain to the gallery…

It has shortcodes so that you can put banners in place inside content and in sidebar areas… but no there’s know other built in system that controls banners and such.

great theme but I have a problem with fonts. In French, we use accents, and the main font of the theme doesn’t have them. The theme is now useless for me, so is it possible to be repaid ? If not, do you know a similar font which has accents included ?

The possibilities you’re looking for are not easily implemented in it’s current state, however… using the already installed Colorbox Plugin, you could mainpulate the theme to allow you to do something like what you’re looking for.
This might sound like a really dumb question but…
Having a problem w/the navigation menu. For some reason, I have two Home Pages. I added a new page and changed the template to “Homepage” and went into the Reading settings in WP and made the static page this page, but I still have another home page.
When I delete this Home page in my pages section, it removes both of them. Not sure what to do.

This is a minor problem that will be fixed with the next update. However for now you’ll just need to download and replace some files.
Once it’s saved, open the ZIP file… inside will be a folder and inside that folder will be a bunch of files (EOT, TTF , WOFF, etc..) these will be the files you need to replace with in the HYPE theme.
On your server, where your HYPE theme is… go to the folders “styles > Nobile”. Inside that folder you’ll see the same files that where in the ZIP you downloaded. Just copy & paste the ones you downloaded into this folder on your server and replace/overwrite them all. At this point, you’re accent characters should be appearing correctly now.

Seems to a small bug when selecting “Light/Transparent” under “Header/Footer Color” in the HYPE theme options menu…. I’ll look into it for the next update… Thanks for the catch.
For now… if you switch it to just “Light” it should work well with your theme.

Hi! I’m new to ThemeForest and the whole Premium Template scene. I’m an amateur designer but I think your theme balances just the right amount of customization and complexity without going over the top.
I only have a one problem and one question. I’m unsure if my problem is the same as ethompsii’s, but my footer is not transparent when set to any of the transparent presets. If this is the same problem you mentioned before, when can the next update be expected?
I also had a question: does setting a page as “private” omit the page from the main navigation bar at the top?
Also, I have a few suggestions that may be nice to see in the future:
- Those trendy Shortcode content boxes like download, etc…
- Perhaps an option for a Brown shade for the header / footer color as it is the only other “neutral” color (other than black, grey, and white) not represented
- The ability to create custom “themes” from either images or gradients/colors similar to the way you have the ability to create custom backgrounds
Those features would make this theme even more ballin’. However, don’t take those suggestions as serious criticism cause this WordPress theme already shines.

Any transparency issues you may be having probably only arise in the IE browser… if IE is important to your user base, I’d switch to one of the other 3 non-transparent selections until I can sort this out… (working on another project right now and need to get it finished before I can jump back into this one)
Check the documentation for setting up the menu… If you set up the menu, you should have no problem with private pages appearing in it.

Well, actually… I’m using Chrome… It looks like Chrome 3 is what you have under supported browsers. I think I’m using Chrome 8. Are there any plans to support transparency in later versions of Chrome?
I’m running Chrome 8.0.552.237 and it seems to be rendering fine… do you have a URL of the problem your having?

Having problems with the thumbnails in the video gallery. Right now I just have the url of the video placed so they work; but when I add the thumbnail, all I get is the magnifying glass image that comes with the theme.
I read the documentation, but the problem still persists. Any help will be helpful.
