Hi, Great looking theme! I’m interested in purchasing but one thing I am unsure of is that after you have clicked through on an item in the portfolio you are unable to use the back button on the browser to return to the home screen? Thanks

onioneye

Hi there,

glad you find the theme great looking. Thanks for taking an interest in it! :)

As far as your question goes, I haven’t implemented the “back button” functionality, but there is a close (x) button for every portfolio project, that closes the displayed item and shows you the “home screen”, as you call it.

Have lots of fun working with HyperMind, if you end up buying it! :)

How do I change the menu colours from blue

onioneye

Hi there,

thanks for buying the theme! Appreciate it! :)

You can change the color of the menu items under the “Site Navigation” section of the main stylesheet (style.css file).

great theme, i have installed successfully. I do see an few when its viewed on ipad the 3 bottom widgets sit in the middle of the page. is there anyway to fix this bug? Also portfolio large view doesn’t load the first image until i click to look at the next one.

however fantastic work! thank you

onioneye

Hi there,

thanks for buying the theme! Glad you find it fantastic! :)

Unfortunately, I don’t own an iPad, but I do have an option to emulate the Safari browser on an iPad (iOS 4.3.3) and the bottom widgets display perfectly fine. That being said, I would love to see if anyone else experienced the same issue because you’re the first one who reported such a behavior.

As far as the portfolio images go, can I please get a link to your site, so I can inspect things?

Hello congratulations by theme. How can I add the form in the footer, as the live preview? and how to make a scroll slider with link on the menu? I’ve done with # menu form but can not add form.

onioneye

Hi there,

thanks for congratulating me on the theme, and for the purchase, of course! :)

Here’s the content of the demo’s footer section, that goes in the HTML view of the content editor, if you want to have the same formatted footer page as the one in the demo. You just need to change a few things, such as the email address and some other data.

http://snippi.com/s/wsclwm7

By the way, once you are done with editing the page, be sure to select it in the “Footer Page” option, found inside the Theme Options panel, and it will show up in the footer of the theme.

As far as your other question goes, I’m not sure what you meant by it. It seems to me that you are referring to the contact form, found in the Equilibrium theme. Am I right? If the answer is yes, then you have mistaken these two themes. The “menu contact form” is only available in the Equilibrium theme; not in Hypermind as well.

Hi There,

Beautiful theme! Will google fonts work ok with it? Also, is it possible to add a background image?

Thanks,

JM

onioneye

Hi there,

glad you find the theme beautiful! Thanks for taking an interest in it! :)

The theme is already using google fonts, but you can change them, either completely manually, by changing them in the main stylesheet (style.css file), or by using a plugin, like WP Google Fonts plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-google-fonts/), which lets you embed hundreds of different fonts from the google webfonts repository. It does almost everything for you, but some further, very minor adjustments to the CSS of the theme might be needed to get everything like you want it to be.

As far as the background image goes, you have an option in the Theme Options panel, to easily upload your own background image, or use one of the existing ones.

Have lots of fun working with the theme, if you end up buying it! :)

can i kindly ask how i would set filter gallery to display just the logos first instead of all? I have checked home php and jquery custom header but cant find how to set this. IM LOVING THIS THEME ! YOUR FRIGGING AMAZING !!!! =)

onioneye

Hi there,

glad you are loving the theme. Thanks for buying it! :)

I think the best way to make your customization work is to target the elements that don’t have the “logos” category, or whatever your category is named, via JavaScript, and hide them by default with the display CSS property. Once that is done, you would probably have to slightly modify the template-home.php and the footer.php files to account for the change. I would imagine this would take a developer under a half an hourt to integrate into the theme.

Good luck! :)

I just tried to add a default wordpress gallery ([gallery link=”file”]) into the description of a portfolio item. Works great on blogs and pages, as it should, but not on the project description overlay. Just shows the first image in the gallery as a thumb and doesn’t work as a gallery. See screenshots here:

http://mikelythcott.com/test/description.png (not working) http://mikelythcott.com/test/normalblog.png (working fine)

Is there a way for the project description to render the default wordpress gallery normally?

onioneye

Hi there,

WordPress’ gallery shortcode works perfectly on blog posts and pages, as you suggest, but it can’t work on portfolio items, since the items are loaded dynamically via AJAX , on the same page, without opening a new one. That’s why you have the slider, to show the images attached to an item, but you can make the images display just like in the gallery; although, that would take some development work on your behalf.

Sincerely,

indierockmedia

Ok cool, no worries. Still great code, ill just use the gallery feature (was mostly just looking to do more than the 10 max slides). Thanks!

onioneye

You are very much welcome. Please have in mind that you can always expand the mentioned limit by modifying the portfolio-metaboxes.php, theme-functions.php, and the upload-button.js files. I would imagine this would take a developer under a half an hour to customize.

sorry i ment to say is it possible to change the font of the tagline?

also i can not locate where the contact form is in the widget area, as i would like to put the contact form on a Contact us page

onioneye

Hi there,

no worries. Thanks for the clarification. :)

You can change the tagline’s font in the following line of code, found under the “Headlines and Titles” section of the style.css file:

#tagline { text-align: center; text-transform: none; font-size: 18px; line-height: 24px; font-weight: 300; font-family: 'Merriweather', Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; color: #665950; }

As far as the contact form is concerned, it is actually a shortcode. Please refer to the documentation, for instructions on how to use it.

Hi there,

I answered these questions in your previous thread.

By the way, there is no need to open new threads and ask the same questions, so I would appreciate it if you could reply to your original thread. It makes it easier for me, and for other people out here, to keep track of your comments. Thanks! :)

I am not sure if this has been discussed on here earlier … The theme glitches when rolling over a portfolio item. I am using Chrome and Safar in OS X .

I love the theme but this is distracting me from going any further.

Cheers, Randy

onioneye

Hi Randy,

somebody did in fact mention experiencing a mild flash, or something like that, when hovering over the portfolio items on a mac, in one of the two mentioned browsers. The things is, everything is perfectly fine with the theme’s code, but one, or both of these two browsers, especially on mac, have these small bugs, when dealing with CSS3 (the latest craze in web design/dev, used to make the transitions/animations), but I’m guessing these should be fixed pretty soon, as the browser vendors update their browsers frequently these days. On top of that, most of your users won’t experience it, and even if they do, chances are, they won’t care, so I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

Anyway, have lots of fun working with the theme, if you end up buying it! :)

Hello!

Thanks for this great theme! Could you please help me creating a child theme, so I can make some minor changes without losing them if you update your theme sometime? I already created a new style.css in my child theme directory, but the logo for example isn’t showing correctly.

Sincerely, Sascha

onioneye

Hi Sascha,

thanks for buying the theme! Glad you find it great! :)

As far as making a child theme goes, please copy the following folders from the parent theme directory to the child theme directory, and you should be fine: images, styles, and function-includes.

Thanks for your support.
Do you mean the ‘css’-folder by ‘styles’?

onioneye

You are very much welcome. :)

As far as your question goes, you are right. I did mean the “css” folder. It’s just that I got carried away for a second there because it is named “styles” in all the rest of my themes. Sorry for that.

Please help I couldn’t embed a video into my portfolio section (I can do this for the post section fine).

There isn’t instructions clear enough for putting video into portfolio…

Could you email me at me@kahtat.com

My site is www.dreamchasers-interactive.com

onioneye

Hi there,

just put the embed code in the field, found in the “Video Settings” box, like it is explained in the documentation.

By the way, you can get the embed code for any video, in its options. For example, on a YouTube video, you would click the “Share” button, found beneath the video itself, and then the “Embed” button, in the tab that opens, after which you’ll see the embed code. You can then easily configure and copy-paste it into the video embed field.

Oh, and thanks for buying the theme. Appreciate it! :)

Hello,

The theme is proving to be excellent so far and a pleasure to work with, but we have a few questions:

1. Is there a way to directly link to a home page portfolio item in “open state”? (As in, when you click on an item on the home page and it opens the overlay, can we link directly to that somehow without having to first click on the item in the home page?)

2. I’ve been trying to disable hyphenation in the text (on pages) and I can’t find it anywhere. Can you help please? :) To clarify: Even without justification, just on a normal paragraph, it’s splitting words up with hyphens and we would prefer to avoid that.

3. When using blockquote or li bullets, etc, they are showing in the admin panel but not in the final text. A blockquote, for example, is indenting the text but is not display the quote marks. I’ve confirmed in HTML view that the code is not getting garbled somehow and it seems to be fine.

Many thanks!

onioneye

Hi there,

glad you find the theme excellent. Thanks a bunch for buying it! :)

To answer your questions:

1) This is not available out of the box, so some development work is required of you, if you want to integrate it into the theme. However, one of my previous customers managed to modify the code to include this feature, so I can send you his code, if you want to, but I can’t guarantee that it will work (perfectly) for you. Chances are that it will, but I haven’t looked at the code, so I can’t tell for sure.

2) I haven’t integrated any “hyphenation feature” into the theme, so it’s possible that you installed some plugin that does this, or somehow introduced some other third party code, that splits your words up with hyphens. Please disable your plugins temporarily, to see if any one of them is the cause of this.

3) Can you please tell me where exactly you are using block quotes and list elements?

Sincerely,

OnionEye

Thanks for the quick reply. :)

1. That sounds great – I’d really appreciate if you could make that available to me.

2. Interestingly enough, it seems to be only happening in Firefox. Chrome, for example, is fine and non-hyphenated. I’ve disabled all plugins both in Wordpress and on Firefox itself and it’s still doing it, so I’ll have to dig into it a bit more.

3. On static pages (Company Profile, Services, etc).

Thanks!

onioneye

Hi there,

you are very much welcome. :)

1) Please send an email via the contact form on my profile page, so I can hand over the files to you. However, please be aware that I can not offer any support for the code not included in the theme, so you will have to modify it completely on your own, if it doesn’t work for you out of the box, but I sincerely doubt that will happen; i.e. it should work without any problems.

2) Which version of firefox are you running? Maybe you have some extension in there, that somehow causes this. Try googling the whole thing.

3) Please be sure to send a link to your site as well, so I can check this out.

Hello. I found a bug in this theme. Header logo won’t appear in IE8 . how fix this?

onioneye

Hi there,

the header logo works properly in IE8 on both Win 7 and Win XP environments. That being said, you might have changed the code of the theme, or installed some corrupt plugin, that caused the logo to not appear in the mentioned browser.

Please try temporarily disabling all of your plugins, to see if one of them is the cause of the issue. If that doesn’t work, try reverting the theme to the default code, while storing the modified files somewhere, to see if one of your customizations, if existent, caused this.

Hi, is it possible use the Yin & Yang Theme MENU in the HyperMind Theme? Because I want a directly menu bar, and in this theme I’ll have to click before in “Sort by” and after that make the choice between the categories.

Thank you!!!!

onioneye

Hi there,

thanks for taking an interest in the HyperMind theme! :)

As far as your question goes, having the same filter menu as in the Yin & Yang theme is certainly possible, but since it is not available out of the box, some development work is required of you. This is most definitely a task for a developer.

Have lot of fun working with HyperMind, if you end up buying it! :)

Great theme!! Love the modern clean vibe.

I’m trying to change the overlay on the portfolio thumbnails on the home page to a transparent red. I can’t figure out how to do this.

I tryed replacing the view details png. but that just does the corner.

Also how do you remove the dates on the portforlio.

Thank you soo much.

onioneye

Hi there,

glad you find the theme great. Thanks a lot for the purchase! :)

To answer your questions:

1) The following line of code, found under the “Portfolio” section of the style.css file, controls the background color of the thumbnail overlay:

.project-link .project-overlay { background-color: #fff; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.9); width: 400px; height: 400px; cursor: pointer; /* opera */ position: absolute; left: 0; top: 0; display: block; text-indent: -9999px; }

2) The following custom CSS should do the job of removing the date from the portfolio items:

.item-categories + .item-metadata { display: none; }

You can include the code at the bottom of the style.css file, or via some plugin, made for the purpose of embedding custom CSS to the theme.

By the way, please consider rating the theme on your downloads page. It only takes a few seconds to do and would make me very happy. :)

Sincerely,
