Hi there, I saw someone had asked this yesterday but can’t find it in the comments: how do you re-arrange your portfolio items on the homepage without deleting them and starting again?
Also 10/10 for the way you’ve made the style sheet so easy to navigate!
Cheers
Hi there,
thanks for the compliment about the style sheet of the theme! Appreciate it.
As far as your question goes, you can reorder the portfolio items by changing their publishing dates, in the Publish settings box, when you are editing existent, or making new items.
Sincerely,
OnionEye
Sadly my hosting provider, Brinkster, does not provide wordpress theme support. Their advice was to check forums for that issue. They also asked me what PHP this theme requires.
My site dtroika.com in in the meantime does not fully work. Please help I am still having the same issue as before, the initial image does not load when i have more than one image in portfolio.
Thank you,
Hi there,
I apologize for the inconvenience this might cause you, but I just noticed you don’t have the purchase tag on your account, and since I only offer support via accounts, with which the theme has been bought, you are going to have to login with that account, and send me an email via the contact form on my profile page, or post your questions/issues here, and I will be more than happy to help you out.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Sincerely,
OnionEye
Hi There, Sorry OnionEye but i’m completely stuck here: i’m trying to re-position my main menu underneath my logo and above the page content (please see http://dl.dropbox.com/u/27166678/example.jpg for reference)
As you can see im attempting to make this centered with a 1px line running underneath also. Can you suggest how I should be looking at achieving this? Everything i’ve tried doesnt seem to work
Thanks as always,
www.bentranter.com
Hi there,
I suggest you read the following article, to get a clear idea on what is involved in centering your menu items on the page: http://csswizardry.com/2011/01/create-a-centred-horizontal-navigation/
If you are still not sure how to modify the code after reading the mentioned article, my best suggestion is to turn to the forums, or Envato’s freelance marketplace, http://freelanceswitch.com/ to find a freelancer for the job.
By the way, the code for the menu is found under the “Header Styles” and the “Site Navigation” sections of the style.css file.
Good luck with this!
Sincerely,
OnionEye
Hello, I just bought your theme. I really appriciated the facility of using this theme and it function very well. I just one question about your ‘sort by’. Is there any possibility to show the categories list on the main page without clicking the sort by button. Hope my question is clear.
Thank you
Hi there,
glad you find the theme well-functioning! Thanks for buying it.
As far as your question goes, having the categories on the main page is certainly possible, but since it is not available out of the box, some development work is required of you, and that is most definitely a task for a developer.
Sincerely,
OnionEye
Thank you for the fast reply, could you give me the name of the files that I have to work on?
Thank you, totomoh
Hi totomoh,
you are very much welcome.
Here are the files that you would have to work on, to achieve what you are after:
Adjustments to further files are almost definitely not necessary, but might be required, depending on how exactly you want your custom feature to work.
Best of luck in making this work,
OnionEye
Hi, the home dont work in opera, The efect rollover imagen
Laudi
Hi Laudi,
the theme has been tested in Opera countless times, and the thumbnail rollover effect should be working perfectly in that browser. However, some custom code, like the one found in the (corrupt) plugins, might have messed the theme’s code up, so I would appreciate it if you could hand me the link to your site, in order for me to inspect things more closely.
By the way, thanks for buying the theme. Appreciate it!
Sincerely,
OnionEye
Hello,
I have a question about the portfolio. It’s possible to have a portfolio page with the portfolio from the homepage ?
Im pretty sure that someone already ask you for that but i can’t find it
Thank you.
Hi there,
thanks for taking an interest in the theme!
As far as your question goes, you can definitely have any page as your homepage, and the porfolio as one of the secondary pages.
Have lots of fun working with the theme, if you end up buying it!
Sincerely,
OnionEye
Hi Onioneye:
I purchased the theme and installed it, changes some colors, overall i love the theme, But i have a few questions. How do i get the top menu to show up. I have added the pages in wp, but they wont show up on top next to the logo? Is it a setting?
Also how would i put a about me in the right side bar? Is that a widget?
Hi there,
glad you love the theme! Thanks for buying it.
Regarding your questions, you have the answers in the documentation, along with other important instructions, so please make sure you read it.
By the way, the documentation is found in the main folder, that you got, when you bought the theme.
Sincerely,
OnionEye
I guess you would need to see it… lol sorry about that…
www.arainphotography.com
Hi there,
no worries. You first need to make your menu, under the Appearance -> Menus tab of your WordPress admin panel, in order for the menu to show up on your site. For further instructions, please read the “Custom Menus” section of the docs.
Sincerely,
OnionEye
Hello, in the portfolio items the slug is “portfolio”, i mean, the url it creates is www.mydomain.com/portfolio/ I’d like to know how can i change it into www.mydomain.com/CLIENTS/
THANK YOU VERY MUCH
Hi there,
thanks for buying the theme! Appreciate it.
As far as the URL is concerned, you need to modify the arguments ($args array) found inside the oy_portfolio_register function; i.e. add a “rewrite” property in there. Please read the “rewrite” section of the following article, to learn more: http://shibashake.com/wordpress-theme/custom-post-type-permalinks
Note: the file that needs to be modified is called custom-post-type.php.
Sincerely,
OnionEye
Hello OnionEye,
First of all, love this theme! It exactly suited the needs of my portfolio and I had great fun customizing it.
One thing though, if you look at the site in Safari 5.1.7 on my Mac, the hover action on portfolio items ‘flashes’ and also some fonts distort (go from light to bold) for a split second. Strangely enough it didn’t happen on my friends Mac with the same browser version though. I read these comments and found that somebody else experienced something similar too.
It happens on my own page but also on your demo site (it’s even slightly worse there). I reckoned it had something to do with the CSS transform and the reason it didn’t show up on all machines might have something to do with the difference hardware acceleration some browsers utilize for this certain command.
Anyway, I had a friend developer look into this and he solved it by adding these lines off code:
It might be a good idea to add these to a future version of your theme to tackle this issue for certain users.
Thanks again for this great theme and keep up the good work!
Best regards, Franklin
Hi Franklin,
glad you love the theme! Thanks a lot for the purchase, and even more for sharing your code with me. I appreciate it very, very much!
By the way, I’m putting this in the queue for the next update.
Sincerely,
OnionEye
Really dig the theme. Are there settings/options to toggle the portfolio items above the thumbs, instead of opening everything in a lightwindow?
Thanks.
Hi there,
thanks for taking an interest in the theme! Glad you dig it.
As far as your question goes, having the filter links above the items, instead of in the overlaying screen, is certainly possible, but since it is not available out of the box, some development work would be required of you. I’m guessing an experienced developer could complete this modification without any hassles, and very quickly as well.
Enjoy working with HyperMind, if you end up buying it!
Sincerely,
OnionEye
Hello,
I love this theme and just downloaded it today. Great work!
I only have one question. For some reason I am having issues with the portfolio. I have my images sized and ready to go but when I upload, it will not show up on my site. So, I am thinking I am missing something. How do I get the portfolio to go live and show the items I am uploading?

Thanks! Annalisa
Hi there,
glad you love the theme! Thanks for buying it.
When it comes to your questions, please read the documentation, that’s found in the main folder. It contains all the instructions on how to install and completely setup the theme, including the homepage/portfolio page.
By the way, please consider rating the theme on your downloads page. It only takes a few seconds to do, and would make me very happy.
Sincerely,
OnionEye
Just made the purchase and am at early stages of development.
After following your directions in the widget section, regarding the “text widget”, it would not automatically embed a Vimeo video. However, it did work with a youtube video.
Is there a work around for this, or should I use a different widget?
studiotrueblue.com
Hi there,
thanks for buying the theme! Appreciate it.
Please use the “share” button on a vimeo video, to customize the dimensions of the video frame, including the looks of the player. Once you do that, just copy and paste the video embed code into the text widget.
Hope this helps!
Sincerely,
OnionEye
You’re rad.
Thank you for the compliment! Glad I could be of some help.
Sincerely,
OnionEye
After reading through the other comments, I found your replies regarding changing the header and footer colors.
However, after inserting that code at the end of the stylesheet, nothing changed. You can see the insert here. -Brian

no code is inserted at the end of the main stylesheet. Please make sure you click the “Update File” button, and clear your browser’s cache, when you are done with making your changes.

Any way to show 2 different Twitter accounts? My wife and I own a photography and videography business. We both have Twitter accounts.

Hi Brian,
this is certainly possible, but since it is not available out of the box, some development work is required of you, and that is most definitely a task for a developer.

Lots of questions. Thought they should be on different threads.
When using the “two-column layout” shortcode listed in your documentation file, I get nothing.
I was trying to insert 2 videos side by side on my homepage.
You can see the code below: http://s7.postimage.org/8x4n9n39n/Screen_Shot_2012_07_27_at_12_12_33_PM.pngPlease help. -Brian
Hi there,
your front page uses the “Home” WordPress page template for the layout, which is fixed, so you can not insert your content in the content editor of that page. You would have to insert your HTML directly into the template-home.php file, if you wanted to customize the front page.
By the way, I would appreciate it if you could post your questions on the same thread, instead of opening a bunch of new ones for every question because that makes it easier for other people out here, to keep track of your comments, and to find and see other people’s posts as well. Lesser amount of threads is always better in this type of “forum.”
Sincerely,
OnionEye
How can I add Pinterest to social media links on right?
Hi there,
you would first have to add your pinterest icon to the /hypermind/images/ folder, and then customize the following files:
Good luck with this!
Sincerely,
OnionEye
When trying to change background color in Theme Options, nothing happens. For instance I changed the Body Background Color and Background Image to red, but I could not see the change on any of the pages. -Thanks, Brian
http://s18.postimage.org/wcfuygm4p/Screen_Shot_2012_07_27_at_1_04_32_PM.pngHi Brian,
you have to set the option above to “None,” just like it is stated in the description of that option, to be able to set your custom background color, and the background image.

OnionEye

Hi there,
thanks for the purchase! Appreciate it.
You’ve been changing the theme, so now the ajax.php file, which should be in the /wp-content/themes/sosmedia/functions/theme-shortcodes/contact-form-shortcode/ directory, returns a 404 (Not Found) error.
Not sure if you just changed the theme’s name, or changed its inner structure as well, but it seems that both are true, since other theme files are found perfectly fine by WordPress.
Sincerely,
OnionEye
Now the path is correct and the files are in the directory , but don´t work
Unfortunately, the file still can’t be found on the following path: http://tucasaenllanes.es/wp-content/themes/hypermind/functions/theme-shortcodes/contact-form-shortcode/ajax.php
I advise you to download the theme again, and replace the old theme folder on your server, with the freshly-downloaded one, if you haven’t been changing any of the theme’s code directly.
Sincerely,
OnionEye
