When I put my email address in the site notification field, it just says ‘Sending…’ and doesn’t ‘send’.

yes it’s possible, give me a couple of days and I’ll explain you the way to remove the twitter feed, I’m not at home in this days. Btw it’s super easy, just remove the Twitter script, the script call in custom.js and the relative piece of code in html
