Hi again. Is there any way to have a static page with the shop template? With all the shop’s side bars etc. I tried assigning the template “WooCommerce Page” to these pages, but no luck…

Thanks!

Anyone…?

Hi there sonarmarketing!

my apologies for the delayed response – I’m currently on holidays so I’m a little slow at responses. Just so I’m clear, are you trying to add shop sidebars to a normal page? This theme doesn’t currently support that but it might be possible to do this using WooSidebars and creating a custom sidebar which you then assign to the page you want. Then add the shop widgets to that sidebar.

See more about WooSidebars here http://www.woothemes.com/woosidebars/

Let me know if this helps you.

Best,

Ed

Thanks, it did work at some point, but it doesn’t keep the woocommerce sidebars look and feel. I’ll try to tweak it. Thanks again!

Which files do I need to update to get this theme to work with 2.1? I’ve done a bunch of stuff to different files and can’t remember them all and I’d rather not lose everything I’ve done.

Hi there scarpochi14,

You shouldn’t need to do anything – you just need to re-download the latest version of the theme and re-upload it. (Note: be sure to backup any customizations you’ve made to the core theme before re-uploading.). Best,

Ed

Hi there scarpochi14,

I just re-read your question and realised how useless my response was :)

What version of Proffet are you currently using?

Hi Is there any fast way to sort the categories alphabetically?

http://icarostore.themesforge.com/?page_id=511

In your example they already are, but I think what it does is to show the categories in chronological order.

Thanks

Hi there sonarmarketing,

Yes it should be possible to tweak the ordering. If you’re using the 3 col showcase template, look in template_showcase_3col.php

look for this line

<?php wp_list_categories(array('title_li' => '', 'taxonomy' => 'tf_showcasecategory', 'walker' => new Showcase_Walker())); ?>
the wp_list_categories function is documented here http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/wp_list_categories you’ll see it supports an order by and order argument so you should be able to do something like this
<?php wp_list_categories(array('title_li' => '', 'taxonomy' => 'tf_showcasecategory', 'orderby' => 'name', 'order' => 'ASC', 'walker' => new Showcase_Walker())); ?>

that should do it :)

Hello there

In the checkout page, although I have translated everything, when the page loads, it show for 1-2 seconds the translated text and then it somehow overwrites the translated text, serving back the english. What is responsible for this behavior so I can change it?

Thanks!

themesforge

Hi there sonar,

it sounds like you’re using a browser like Google Chrome which is re-translating your content back to English for you automatically.

See here for more https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/173424?hl=en

Thanks for the reply. This is not it, unfortunately. I have already checked that, and it also happens in any browser. Moreover, the english words that are RE-served are the exact same as the originals, there is no “on-the-fly” translation.

The site is this: http://www.dimopoulos.gr/n1e2w3

Which .mo file is responsible for this? Woocommerce’s or the theme’s? I can’t figure it out…

Thanks

Hi there,

I see Greek content when I look at this link.

What words specifically are you referring to where the behaviour you’re describing is happening?

Mainly to the labels: Product, Total, Cart Subtotal, Shipping, Order Total

Thanks!

themesforge

Everything on the cart screen for me is in Greek except for Proceed to Checkout

This is a WooCommerce string – not a theme string.

You should check this page

Yes, but this is the cart page, not the checkout page I’m talking about! :)

themesforge

Ah yes I see the issue now – my apologies.

This is quite odd indeed!

This is not part of the scope of the theme – this is something to do with how WooCommerce payment modules handle translated strings.

You will need to get in touch with WooCommerce support to determine what is going on there.

OK, at least I know where to ask now! :) Thanks!
