swag100 Purchased

On product with variable prices, the price is shown as “100$ – 150$”. How do I set the price to be shown as “from 100$”?

Thanks in advance

themesforge

Hi there,

Thanks for getting in touch!

The pricing display changed as part of WooCommerce 2.1

To switch back to the old pricing display, see here:

Hi Ed :-)

My website is messed up after updating to the latest version of WP :-/

Will there be a new update for the theme soon to fix this?

Thank You :-)

themesforge

Hi,

the main demo site is using 3.8.3 and doesn’t have any such issues:

http://icarostore.themesforge.com/

Are your widgets in the right widget areas? They look like they’re not.

Sorry Ed my mistake :-/

It was total cache minify when set to HTML Tidy and CSS Tidy causing the problem…

I didn’t realise at the time because I didn’t clear the cache before checking if it caused any problems using these settings, Special Needs!

All working fine now :-D

Great Theme and First Class Support!

Thank You :-D

Hi Ed,

Please I would like to add a menu that will display products that are on sale. How do I achieve this? Please help

themesforge

Hi there Patrick,

This should do it http://docs.woothemes.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/

Look for the Sale Products shortcode reference.

Pre Sales: Does this theme supply demo content? Makes things easier when working.

Best.

Hi there!

Yes demo content is available :)

If you do buy the theme drop me an email to ed@themesforge.com and I’ll send you the demo xml straight away!

I would like to know how to make the newsletter forum look as it does in the demo. Mailchimp, etc installed. Stuck with an ugly template at the moment. Thank you and continued success!

Hi there,

Have you got the mailchimp widget added in one of the footer widget areas?

For clarity, this is the plugin to install https://wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp/

Hi

I would like to know how i can change the text on the mini-cart. I would like to translate it. I already translate everything with a plugin but i realy don’t find how to translate the mini-cart.

Thanks in advance,

C

themesforge

Hi there cmaddelein,

The relevant php file is /icarostore/woocommerce/config.php

search for:

  • ’.__(‘Your Cart Contents’, ‘tfbasedetails’).’

  • You shouldn’t need to modify this directly though if you’re using .po translation files or something like Codestyle localization.

    How do I get rid of this Admin Message below? Is it a widget? I cannot figure out how to remove this.

    Admin Messages!

    Hey there! We built your theme to be widget ready. We’d highly recommend that you head on over to the Wordpress Admin and go into the Widgets admin area and go ahead and add some widgets to the Primary Widget Area which will override the display of the usual “Pages, Archives, Meta” stuff below. Oh and don’t worry – only admins see this message :)

    themesforge

    Hi there,

    thanks for getting in touch!

    That’s just php code that gets displayed to admins who are logged into WordPress and it is only displayed when you’ve not added any widgets to the sidebar. It will go away once you do that :)

    Hi there. When updating to 2.1 My menus in header and footer lose styling. I mean that all submenu items become top tier items so the menu is enormous! I fixed by simply going back to 2.0. Any thoughts?

    themesforge

    Hi there, thanks for getting in touch!

    There was an update for the theme in February for WooCommerce 2.1 – you need to re-download and re-upload the theme to ensure it works with WooCommerce 2.1

    Please make sure to backup any custom changes you’ve made and ensure you run the update on a test/staging site first :)

    Does Icarostore support being a parent theme? I seem to remember a comment in here that you were working on that, but I see other comments from you suggesting users create a child theme…

    themesforge

    hmm – interesting – will you send me your child theme to ed@themesforge.com so I can see if I can spot the issue quickly.

    did you make sure to assign a main menu via Appearance->Menus?

    you will need to do this with the child theme.

    Hi,

    Could you tell me where to add padding in the right column? All of my widgets are aligning to the far left to where the are touching the border (Shop homepage with Flexi). They also seem to do this with other page templates as well. I’ve tried various CSS changes that didn’t see, to make a difference.

    http://www.custompits.com
    themesforge

    Hi there,

    thanks for getting in touch!

    I see your issue.

    That right hand side column is really designed for displaying the products scrollbar as shown on the demo homepage here: http://icarostore.themesforge.com/

    The other issue is that even if you add some padding to the right column (which I just did in chrome dev tools on your site), your facebook widget is still not obeying the padding as it’s too wide for the space available.

    As a result, you might be better to make a custom homepage template with a wider right column by modifying some custom css

    .woohpwidgets-main {
    float: left;
    width: 690px;
    }

    and

    .woohpwidgets-side {
    float: right;
    width: 240px;
    }

    But your problem then will be you left hand size inner content elements will need to me made narrower. So it’s a bit of a catch 22.

    I’d be inclined to leave it as is and try and make your facebook widget a bit narrower if you can.

    Best,

    Ed

    Default-user

    I expanded the Facebook widget so that it would fill up the column, because it too was left. I can adjust the width of it though. Was layout.css, and which line? I just want to try it.

    themesforge

    yes layout.css – rather than changing the core lines just paste in the examples I gave you right down the very end of that file.

    Best,

    Just flipped site over from a temp to the live site and now I see this error on every product page:

    Hi Ed,

    I have install the theme and publish any products I want to sell. But now I just need to carry out modifications in Theme Admin Options. However, I can adjust nothing here. When I change something and press ‘Save All Changes’, nothing happens. Could you tell me what I’m doing wrong?

    I also reset all options, with the reset option button, but doesn’t help.

    Please help, thanks!

    Hi there,

    I’ve no reports of problems with the Theme Admin options at present so I suspect this is specific to your site. My guess would be some plugin is triggering a conflict with the theme options. Try disabling all plugins to confirm this.

    If you email me your WP login details I will also be able to confirm if this is what happening – ed@themesforge.com

    Hi, my client updated the theme and now the product pages are not displaying correctly. They had installed the sagepay pugin which requested a theme update. We have switched of plugins and still now joy – any ideas?

    themesforge

    Hi there,

    thanks for getting in touch and sorry about the delayed response.

    My guess is you updated to WooCommerce 2.1 from 2.0? If so, you’ll need to re-download and re-upload the theme as this was a big WooCommerce update that required a theme update.

    Hope this helps :)

    Hi.

    We are trying to use the WooCommerce plug-in to allow us to choose a set delivery price for each item we sell, I.E 1 product may be £25 delivery, but another may be £35 delivery. Is there a way we can set this up?

    Thanks.

    Hi Ed,

    Have you had time to have a look at these questions?

    Thanks

    themesforge

    Hi there stephhind,

    apologies for the delayed response!

    This is more of a question for the core of WooCommerce rather than the theme.

    this plugin might help you

    Also, if the customer selects credit card/paypal, this makes them create a paypal account. Shouldn’t they have the option to just use their card without setting an account up with paypal? Pay via PayPal; you can pay with your credit card if you don’t have a PayPal account Thanks

    themesforge

    Hi stepphind,

    Depending on where you are in the world it should be possible for the customer to pay using paypal without having to create a paypal account.

    You would need to review the WooCommerce docs on this for more information.

    Once an order has come through. Is there an order confirmation or invoice that I can print out for my reference?

    Also, what does the customer receive?

    themesforge

    Hi there Stephhind,

    You can print out a copy of the order from within WooCommerce->Orders.

    The customer receives an order confirmation email which you should be able to test by placing a test order yourself using your own email address.

    Hi, We want to show the SKU number of our products on the product page (like you have on here http://themeforest.net/item/icarostore-responsive-woocommerce-theme/full_screen_preview/3331647) and under the products on the homepage. Can you tell us how to do this please. M

    themesforge

    Hi there M,

    thanks for getting in touch! The sku should automatically display on the product details page – is it not?

    Re: displaying the sku on the homepage – this will need some customising. Send me an email to ed@themesforge.com and I’ll help you troubleshoot the first issue.

    Hi! How can I change the price in the single product page, when I have a variable price? If it is not possible, how can I hide it (but NOT when I have product with single price)?

    If this is confusing, please see this: http://img42.com/t4UsU+

    Thanks!

    themesforge

    Hi there,

    very sorry for the delayed response!

    I think it will be difficult to do what you want to do as it would mean writing quite specific custom code to handle your specific use case. You might find a WooCommerce plugin to allow for more fine tuned control over pricing display.

    Best,

    Ed

    Well, I think I found a solution to this. Probably not the best programmatically, but it did work.

    Just in case someone looks for this: wp-content/themes/icarostore/woocommerce/woocommerce-layout.php

    Line 37: replaced

    <?php echo $product->get_price_html(); ?>

    with

    <?php if ( !$product->is_type( array( 'variable' ) ) )echo $product->get_price_html(); ?>

    themesforge

    Hi there,

    Thanks for sharing your solution :)

    Looks like it will work for what you wanted!
