Forgive me for sounding like a n00b but I’m creating a website using this theme but one thing I’m struggling with is setting up the blog page showing all the latests posts just as it appears on your live preview.

I have created a new page and inserted on it various short codes relating to displaying posts (using your short code button) but the results are listed with small thumbnails, just like they appear in the widgets. I would like my blog page to look exactly like yours with large images throughout.

I’m sure I’m overlooking something obvious but your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Tim

Please ask your questions using the account you have used to purchase the theme. Thank you.

Please try to edit the ‘js/anything_slider_init.js’ file and replace:
jQuery(document).ready(function() {
with
jQuery(window).load(function() {

Sorry about the repost. I was using my personal account before and this is my work’s one, through which the theme has been purchased.

Anyway, forgive me for sounding like a n00b but I’m creating a website using this theme but one thing I’m struggling with is setting up the blog page showing all the latests posts just as it appears on your live preview.

Creating a blog page is described in the theme documentation. Just create a new empty page using a Default template, publish it and pick from the Posts Page dropdown list (Settings -> Reading).

Many thanks. I’d somehow overlooked that! Anyway, it now works a treat. Thanks again for your speedy support :)

What are these issues? Are you having them on our demo website as well?

On a few pages I am getting no photos or colors, just a basic print layout. Its rather strange.

Did you try to clear cookies and the browser cache? Are you having this issue on our demo website as well?

I would like to look at the page source, so a screenshot is not enough.

ok i have the source. Where should I send it?

e404

I didn’t want you to send me a website source. ;) I just want to see it live. But that’s OK, now I have the website URL (extemplab.com).

I’ve checked this website using IE8 and IE9 and I didn’t find any issues. So there must be some problem on your customer’s end.

BTW : I’ve reported your comment with a website source, because it has a website logo embedded.

I just copied a source page. I didn’t mean to embed a logo.

I know, but the TF comments system displays some parts of your pasted HTML code (including the logo image).

I’m trying to use contact form 7 as in the demo home page but i don’t understand. I already downloaded and installed contact form 7 widget but the shortcode does not appear in the list

e404

The Contact Form 7 shortcode won’t appear on the list because of its dynamic structure. Go to the Contact section of the WordPress admin panel, configure your contact form and copy & paste generated shortcode.

Ok. I did it but the contact form does not appear as i want. How can i put the widget (customized contact form) in the home page layout?

e404

You can’t put the widget in the home page content. What’s wrong with your contact form?

It doesn’t look as i want

e404

You can modify it and make it look as you want. It has nothing to do with a widget.

I understand that the CF7 widget was a fast way to style the form.

How do you style the form in demo home page?

e404
e404 Author

No, the CF7 widget allows you to put the contact form into the sidebar. It doesn’t style the form. To style the contact form you should modify its HTML code and/or use custom CSS styles.

If you go here http://e404themes.com/ice/ and if you see the code, close to contact form you can read a CSS class named “widgets widget_custom_cf7”. Is this your customization?

e404
e404 Author

It’s a standard widget class, added by WordPress. You can of course use it to customize this widget.

Hello.

Started to work on this them on a new site and I like it.

I have a few questions please:

1) Can you please provide the CSS code for making the menu buttons “less roundy” as described in one of my earlier emails and correspondence with you?

2) Can you help to remove / reduce the gap between the bottom end of logo and the top of menu?

I would like to have the logo sit a little lower, if possible.

3) Is it possible to rename the theme eg. “myclient” ?

Many thanks in advance,

I’ve just answered your email.

To change the logo bottom margin use the following code:
#logo a { margin-bottom: 5px; }
#header_nav { margin-bottom: 5px; }

interesttt… before buy… i have 1 question….

if i’m set this theme to http://e404themes.com/ice/portfolio/2-columns-with-sidebar/

2 columns with sidebar… in single post… can setting sidebar always stay?

i see in demo if i’m click redmore… in single post that picture is full width… and sidebar is lost….

in single post (mode 2 columns sidebar) can setting sidebar always stay?

e404
e404 Author

No. The single portfolio item page doesn’t have a sidebar. I will think about adding this feature in one of future theme updates.

Another question. My client does not want any comments on the site. I have disabled them, but the little “bubble comment count icon” is still showing under the [recent_posts_images_full] post image on the front page. How do I get rid of the icon, please?

e404
e404 Author
To remove the comments icon from this shortcode please edit the ‘inc/shortcodes.php’ file, find the following line:
$output .= '<li><a href="'.get_comments_link($post->ID).'" title="'.$comments_number_txt.'" class="tiptip fancy_icon fancy_comments"></a></li>';
and BEFORE this line add the following code:
if(comments_open($post->ID))
This fix will be also included in the next theme update.

Please note that when you disable comments for posts the new setting will be valid only for new posts. To disable comments in existing posts you have to edit them all and uncheck “Allow comments” option.

The site is password protected. Here is a screenshot Photobucket

I suppose these images are link images. Unfortunately you can’t vertically center links because of how WordPress displays these images in the Links widget. So you can only make these images smaller.

By the way: these links will look the same in the WordPress default theme as well.
