Hello, I’m still tuning my site after purchasing and applying the theme. Kudos on the use of font awesome set for the social menu icons; adding those was a breeze. A few questions:

1. When I navigate to the blog page of my site (http://zionspokane.church/blog/) the title of the page in the red bar (under the logo) is the title of the most recent post in the blog. Is there a way to make that say “Blog” instead of the most recent post title?

2. On the home page (http://zionspokane.church/) in the Recent Posts section the meta data under each post image includes the number of comments. I would like to remove that number of comments and comments icon. I’ve unchecked “Show comments count” in the CT-Posts widget settings but it still shows up. Is there a way to remove the comments count? I’ll post this question to the ChurchThemes support site as well; I just wanted to check if you could help.

3. On my homepage, under the slider I have the words “To Release the Glory …”. I would like to change the color of the background behind those words (but not behind the Recent Posts section). Is that possible? The words are part of the homepage body so are between the Top and Bottom widget sections.

4. When I embed an image in a page (e.g. http://zionspokane.church/blast-childrens-ministry/) and try to align it to the right of the text it always ends up with no alignment (the text is only on the top and bottom of it and the image is on the left of the page). The image will appear properly aligned in the page edit Visual window but on the live site page the alignment is gone. Is there some theme css that is overriding the img alignment? Is there a way to force the image to the right in the page text edit window?

I appreciate your on-going support. Thanks, James

Hi James,

(1) Create a page with name “Blog” and than from “Settings – Reading” point the blog page at it.

(2) open utility/post.php and comment lines 33 – 36

(3)

.page-template-page-homepage h1 {
   background-color: Red;
   margin: 0px;
   padding: 20px 30px;
   margin: -10px -30px;
}

(4)

.aligncenter        { margin: auto; text-align: center; margin-bottom: 22px; display: block !important;}
.alignleft          { float: left; margin: 0px 30px 22px 0px;  }
.alignright         { float: right; margin: 0px 0px 22px 30px; }

Cheers

Thanks for the quick reply. I can’t seem to get #1 to work. In settings > Reading I have the “Posts page” set to my Blog page I created but the title still isn’t showing as “Blog” (the page title). Instead it is still showing as the title of the latest post. Any other ideas?

Hi,

try to use blog right sidebar template for your blog page.

I’m having an issue with the site not sizing correctly when viewed on a mobile. It only occurs when I use a logo in the header instead of the logo-text. This problem was reported by user Annakai a month or so ago on this forum but viewing that users site now (http://www.allthatswing.at/) it appears to be sizing correctly even with the logo. I didn’t see a resolution in the replies to Annakai’s comment on the issue but am hoping that you know what is causing the issue and how to resolve it. My site is zionspokane.church. Thanks for all of your help. James

It appears that the workaround to the problem is to simply make the logo image smaller. My logo was about 500px wide. When I reduced it to under 300px the site showed correctly on a mobile device. I’m guessing that the logo in the header doesn’t scale automatically in the mobile code so if it is wider than a mobile screen then the site doesn’t show correctly on a mobile. This appears to be the same workaround (making the logo smaller) that user Annakai user on their site. Hopefully this is an issue that can be addressed in a future update to the theme. Good luck!

Hmmm, it’s not just the logo image that is causing this issue. Other pages (for example http://zionspokane.church/staff-2/ that have wide images in the page encounter the issue too. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Hi,

try this code

.entry-content img {
   height: auto;
   max-width: 100%;
}

Cheers

Hello

I purchased this theme and need to know how to change the background to custom image. I dont see a setting for this. Only see preset for patterns.
