Really great layouts, we are enjoying the template. We want to match the green of our webpage however (#729e3d). What is the best approach to changing the colour? I opened the psd file like your help documentation suggests, however do I need to open each item and change the colour, then when i save does it rewrite all the jpegs already in images, or do I need to save all the elements individually? Sorry i have never editted a theme’s psd file before.

Thanks

Hi jamrod,

Thanks for purchasing Idea Mail. Yes, you need to change color of all elements which are used in the layout which you want to use, once you’ve done that, choose save for web and devices and select “All user slices” (this is covered with screenshot in the help file in the part “Photoshop files editing tips”), new images will overwrite the old ones.

Hey can i integrate this with the Emma email client?

Hi webrunnermediagroup,

Thanks for your interest in Idea Mail. According to myemma.com: html templates and responsive templates you can use any HTML email template, also a responsive template like Idea Mail.

Regards.

What is the shortcode to send a facebook message via the top link, which is able to show the subject of the email, and the url of the email post? In mailchimp.

Thanks, J

Hi weco,

Not sure if I understand your question, for a list of possible merge tags you can refer to Mailchimp merge tags guide here.

Hi,

Great work!!!

Got 1 question. I changed the top banner area to a background image and a editable text area (where the blue square is). On mac everything looks great but on pc the top banner doesn’t show up. Hopefully you can think of the answer…

Hi newmonkeys,

Thanks for purchasing Idea Mail, Outlook 2007 and above (Windows versions) has limited support for background images, if that’s not the issue feel free to send me email with the edited layout attached to gifkynet {@} gmail.com and I’ll check it.

Hi mdavda909,

Thanks for your interest in Idea Mail.

We do not recommend sending this template from Outlook as this will make the template not responsive anymore. For responsive templates we recommend professional services which doesn’t strip out any code like Mailchimp for example (they have free plan option), if you are looking for a template that can be sent from Outlook please check out Fresh Newsletter and Delicious Mail 1 & 2.

Hello! Looks like a nice set of designs. Has anything changed since release and do you still support this pack? Looking to buy and use for Vertical Response.

Thanks!

Gifky

Hi denworx,

Thanks for your interest in Idea Mail. Current release of Idea Mail is updated & compatible with major email clients and yes we give support to this product.

It should work fine in Vertical Response’s (Freeform editor).

I’ve just purchased your template. When I test in my mac mail client the date icon and text don’t break below the logo. Also, in the body content the four icons with text headings don’t break either. The two columns aren’t stacking into one… I have not made any changes. All I did was email page to myself for testing in IOS mail client.

Under description it says compatible with apple mail…

I got it working with MailChimp

Gifky

Hi indeago,

Thanks for purchasing Idea Mail, I’m glad you were able to use the template in Mailchimp. The template is compatible with both Mac Mail & iPhone native email app in terms of viewing/receiving the template, Mac Mail removes the doctype declaration when sending the email, which causes such bug you described on webkit based browsers/apps preventing the TDs from being displayed as blocks, so it’s best to send the email from any email client/app which doesn’t strip out the doctype declaration such as Mailchimp, Vertical Response, etc…

Regards.

Nice Work Good luck;

Gifky

Thank you :)

Hi there, For some reason, I tested the email from MailChimp, things seem to be okay at gmail and hotmail, but its at outlook where pictures needs to be forced to appear, in other words, the picture doesn’t open, unless you right click on it and click download or something. Could use your guidance, thank you.

Hi hummity7,

Thanks for purchasing Idea Mail, some email clients/programs prevent displaying images for privacy reasons unless you add the sender to your contacts or change the default privacy settings etc…

For Outlook 2007 and above please check out this answer.

P.S. if you mean Outlook.com, go to Options > Filters and reporting > Block content from unknown senders and choose Show attachments, pictures, and links for senders with good reputations.

Regards.

I am interested in this email template. This one says mail chimp ready. I don’t want to use mail chimp. I am just going to edit it and put it as a template in constant contact. Will it still work? Or do I have to use mail chimp? Thank you…

Gifky

Hi X_JuDaH_X,

You don’t have to use it with Mailchimp. You can use it with any email service/program which doesn’t remove doctype declaration.

Constant Contact current editor isn’t compatible with responsive emails because it removes the doctype which cause a bug with responsive tables on Webkit browsers, in addition Constant Contact place a default footer which isn’t responsive and has fixed width bigger than phones screen width.

You can use this template in Constant Contact as non responsive email template by removing media queries and viewport meta tag.

Regards.

The email looks great in almost every system but Yahoo. I am having trouble getting it to center in yahoo mail.

Hi stonehillcollege,

Thanks for purchasing Idea Mail.

Please let me know if the problem is appearing in the original template or only after you edited it and send me screenshot how the template is appearing in Yahoo to gifkynet [at] gmail.com and I will try to see what is the issue. Also let me know which service you are using to send the template. If the problem appears only after you edited parts of code please send me a copy of your edited code.

Regards.

Hello,

Quick question, what is the difference between the regular version and the mail chimp version?

I have used the regular version for some time and now I’m thinking about using Mailchimp, but I have edited the template, so I don’t want to redo all the editing on the mail chimp version. Can I just import the regular template to mail chimp? will I have any troubles with the template if I do that?

Regards, Yasser Shabbir

Gifky

Hi Yasser,

Thanks for purchasing Idea Mail.

You don’t need to redo the edits on the Mailchimp version, instead you can just add Mailchimp merge tags to the regular version which you have edited. I can send you help documentation file which had instructions of using Idea Mail in Mailchimp before I added separate Mailchimp version. Just contact me via email to gifkynet {at} gmail.com and I will send it to you.

Regards.

Hi, yesterday we discovered idea-mail template and today we tried to purchase it. But: It dissapeared from the official themeforest lists. It’s ony aviable for purchase if you know the direct link.

Is there a problem? Is it no longer supported? Are there new known problems with the major major email clients?

Thanks in advance for yor help. :-)

Regards, Stefan.

Gifky

Hi Stefan,

Thanks for you interest in Idea Mail, I have reported that issue to the staff, there is probably some bug with Themeforst’s lists.

Idea mail doesn’t have any problems, it is supported and has super code and compatibility with major email clients (you can see the screenshots in the live preview) and the outstanding rating and reviews says it all.
