Hi,
Just a small issue that has come up and one feature request.
I use wordfence to monitor my wp site. It has been reporting that when I click on the ‘home’ image at the top left of the page it looks for (domainname)wp-content/uploads/2013/04/03@2x.png. There is no such image or page… and it results in an error/pages not found report.
I have read on some wp forums about this issue… http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-wp-retina-2x-using-custom-logo-in-theme
Will it be one addressed in your next update?
As for my feature request, could you add the Page Attributes option to the ‘features’ pages so that we can have the option of chosing a ‘parent’ or, more importantly, ‘template’ option for the design/layout of the ‘feature’ page.
Apart from that…. excellent theme…. really excellent.
Hi,
@2x
The logo (I guess that’s what you’re referring to) is linked to the homepage. The @2x is a retina version (double size) of an image.
If the website is visited by a device that has a retina display the theme will check if @2x version of the images exist and if they do replace the regular ones with those.
So, I don’t think there’s actually a real issue there, but I would need to take a look to find out, so send over your FTP and WP admin info via the contact form on our profile page and I’ll check it out.
Feature
Not quite sure what you mean by Features pages.
Regards,
Slobodan
Hi,
Sorry about that… should have completely read the theme documentation about the image, apologies.
Also, the feature request – I meant to say the ‘portfolio’ page linked to the images ‘featured’ on the front page. I have disabled the ajax optionand the images now link to an actual page instead of appearing above the featured portfolio images.
It would be nice to have the option to make these ‘portfolio’ linked pages similar to the ‘pages’ on the site where it is possible to choose a ‘template’ option for the design/layout of the ‘feature’ page i.e. wrap – full width/wrap – right sidebar, etc.
Hi,
No worries.
Custom post types don’t support custom page templates feature.
But, when adding/editing a portfolio post (project), bellow the WYSIWYG editor you’ll see “Project Options” and an option called “Listing – URL”, when there’s an URL in there clicking the project (on homepage and portfolio page) will take to that URL instead of the default project post page.
So, you can use regular pages to be project pages that way. Just link to the page.
Regards,
Slobodan
Hi,
Thanks again for the feedback and support, I will use this feature to redirect the link… its a nice little ‘inclusion’ to make the site flow without the need for any additional plugin.
One more question. I want to add links in the footer of the page i.e. Home | About | Privacy | Terms of Use | Contact | Sitemap etc.
I would like to place this at the bottom of each page, where the copyright notice is.
My question is, how do I make the ‘space’ where the copyright notice is located wider to allow for the inclusion of these text links?
Thanks
Hi,
You’re welcome.
That section has auto width, it stretches with the content in it. Make sure you’re not using block HTML elements. You can go with something like this:
Regards,
Slobodan
Hi,
Thanks. I will give that a try.
You’re welcome, let me know how it works out.
Regards,
Slobodan
Great theme! It’s been really a joy to work with it. I’m almost done. The blog page doesn’t display the excerpts from posts. Instead it displays the whole post then breaks after a certain number of characters with no “read more” link. It looks ugly.
Where can I set it to display only the excerpt for the blog homepage? You can see the issue here – http://adam-fletcher.co.uk/blog/
Hi,
Thanks, glad you like it.
When a specific excerpt isn’t supplied it takes an excerpt from the content. At the end of the main section (where the WYSIWYG editor is) you’ll see the excerpt textarea, you can write a custom excerpt there.
In case you don’t see that option, at the top right you’ll see “Screen Options”, click that and in the area that shows up make sure the checkbox for excerpt is checked.
Regards,
Slobodan
Perfect, thanks Slobodan. I thought I remembered there used to be an excerpt box but it’s been a few years since I used Wordpress, so missed the “screen options” button. Thanks for the great support!
You’re welcome.
Is there any way to make the logo, title, and tagline centered? In the template, these elements are floated left but since I won’t be using any navigation on my site, I’d like it to be centered.
Hi,
I answered on your email.

Slobodan
Hi, I’ve been trying to figure out how to apply a textured background to my website, is there a way I can do this? I want to retain the light and dark elements of the background that are already included but apply a light texture on top of this. Is that possible?
Many thanks Ben
Hi Ben,
You can upload the texture in the WordPress Media Library and add this CSS (in theme options under Custom CSS & JS)
body { background-image: url("path_to_the_image"); }But if you’re a bit experienced with WordPress development it’s best to do modifications from a child theme.
Regards, Slobodan
I love the look of this theme, but have to admit I’m quite disappointed in being locked out of customizing it. I’m familiar with html (less wordpress) but the directions for the about page claim to paste doc code into a ‘full width’ template, which cannot be found? I have other questions for the future, ones I would think would be answered with a premium dollar theme, but happy to make extra payments to a tip jar I suppose. I’ll start with, where the clear workflow to adding the about page? I wish I could just edit the html haha
Hi,
On the add/edit page in the right sidebar you’ll see Page Attributes, in that section there’s a template option, that’s where you choose the full width template.
Whatever questions you have feel free to ask.
P.S. What’s a premium dollar theme?
Regards,
Slobodan
Hi,
Yeah, it’s the “wrapped – no sidebar”, sorry about that, my bad.
About the page titles, WordPress comes with basic SEO, I suggest using Yoast SEO, an awesome free plugin that I’m using as well.
Ahh yeah, the “premium dollar” confused me, I thought that means something is expensive.
Regards,
Slobodan
No worries Slobodan, thanks for the help. Great tip with Yoast, not sure how it allows adjustments for the page titles, but will look into it! -When I’ve tried using the ‘wrapped-no sidebar’, I get odd placement of the right side title text’s (despite smaller images, the titles are sunk down on the right) and a wrong typeface for general text, do you think you could pastie or email the exact code for the page advertised? I’m dylankjones@gmail.com if you could, would be a great resource to compare a working copy to achieve results with aligning these divs and making the page work. Thanks again!
Hi Dylan,
It’s sent.
Regards,
Slobodan
Thanks Slobodan! You’ve been a great help, the theme is great. I have just sent a reply email to themebros@gmail.com with some questions. I will post answers here for other users if they turn out to be fixable. Thank again! Great stuff!
Hi Dylan,
Answered your email.

Slobodan
Hello Again,
Still very happy with the theme and tweaking away to my hearts content…. its a great hobby!
Another queston for you.
On the homepage there are two text blocks under the featured images – the About Me and Skills sections. I am just wondering, is it possible to widen the gap between these two items/text blocks and would it be possible to insert a horizontal line? (light grey in colour) in between the two ‘blocks’
Thanks,
Hi,
They follow the same grid system as the rest of the elements. So, one solution would be to change the grid system (make bigger spacing between columns) or to make them not follow the grid system (custom dimensions).
It’s a bit outside of the simple customization, so can’t be a free customization, if you want you can send over the project information via the contact form on our profile page and I’ll give you a price quote.
Regards,
Slobodan
Hello,
This is a fantastic theme. Just the right amount of modern technology while still being to the point in terms of information.
One question I have is how do I setup the menu as shown in your example. I see how to create a navigation item pointing to an individual page, but I don’t see how to setup a Portfolio or Blog page where it shows all the listings.
Also, the shortcode sample page says “240 Icons Available”. Is there a listing of these icons somewhere?
Thank you!
Hi,
Thanks, glad you like it.
Portfolio and Blog
Create a new page and in the “Page Attributes” section in the right sidebar you’ll see “Template”, choose “Blog” or “Portfolio” there.
For more info check the documentation, it’s all explained in there.
Button
Yeah, in the documentation under Shortcodes section.
Regards,
Slobodan
Perfecto! Thank you very much. Works just like I want.
You’re welcome.
Love the theme. Quick question – I’d like to edit the bottom of the home page so the blog section only shows an excerpt, or maybe just the permalink for more posts.
Any hints?
Thanks
Hi,
Not quite sure I understood you properly.
You can hide the elements you don’t want in there. Using CSS (you can use the custom CSS option in the theme options).
/* Hide the date and content */ .blog-post-list-date, blog-post-list-content { display: none; }With the code above only the title will be shown.
To show a link for more posts (link to blog) just add a link in the WYSIWYG editor bellow the [blog_posts] shortcode.
Regards,
Slobodan
If you’re a potential buyer reading comments: As a buyer, I highly recommend this theme for ease of use, and the great support, works like a charm with minor issues.
Thanks for the kind words Dylan. We’re glad you’re happy with the theme and the support.
Regards,
Slobodan
Hey Guys, Still loving the theme. I’m wondering, if there is a way to have the portfolio link to blog posts? So if i click, from the front page, “view project” to have it take me directly to the page of a particular posting. Any Thoughts?
Hi,
Link to the portfolio post
You can disable the AJAX in Theme Options (Homepage section). Clicking a project will take to the project page.
Link to specific URL (blog post for example)
When adding/editing a project in the admin you’ll see “Project Options” bellow the WYSIWYG editor and in there you’ll see “Listing – URL” option. Whichever URL you add there it will be the URL that clicking a project takes to.

Slobodan
How do I get the social icons on the bottom in the footer?
Hi,
Go to the WP admin > Appearance > Theme Options and under Social fill in the fileds.

One issue: on my portfolio page, the projects don’t slide together when you sort by category. What am I doing wrong?
http://davidwriteswords.com/portfolio/Hi,
There are 2 options for the filters, opacity (the one you have now) and the sliding. Go to Theme Options and you’ll see the option to change it in the Portfolio Section.
Regards,
Slobodan
Please forgive me, I’m just not seeing it. These are my options under Theme Options > Portfolio
http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/3239/portfoliofilter.jpgJust noticed you’re using version 1.0. The sliding animation was added in version 1.0.1, the latest is 1.0.3. Between “Filters” and “Project Width” there will be “Filter Style”.
So just update the theme to the latest version.
Is there any chance you will be adding the new AwesomeFonts 3.11?
Hi,
Will include them in the next update, will be published in a few days.
Regards,
Slobodan
Hey nice theme. I have installed it but I am getting a JS error:
Uncaught TypeError: Object [object Object] has no method 'live'In custom.js on line 25 which reads:
jQuery('.content-box-toggle-state-open .content-box-title').live('click', function(e){Which stops a few things from working. The skills section mainly.
Do you have any idea whats happening. Using jQuery 1.9.1
Cheers.
Hi,
Check your plugins, maybe one of them is adding an old jQuery version. Disable one by one and see if and on which plugin it gets sorted out.
If that doesn’t do the trick, send over FTP and WP admin info via the contact form on our profile page and I’ll check it out.

Slobodan
Hello Slobodan,
Regarding images, when I upload a larger sized image, and even set the width and height in the ‘text’ (code) side, my images on portfolio pages and the About page, are always shrunk down, ignoring the code. Their shrunk more than 1/2, so I assume it’s not a retina issue. Is there a css style or some code we can place to override this shrinking? I just hoping to have my images at native size or to set them larger. Any tips?
Hi Dylan,
With the WYSIWYG editor, correct? When you’re inserting an image you can choose the size of the image, choose the full size.

Hi, For SEO, I can add <meta> directly under the title of the header.php? Or is there a secret that I have not seen in the theme options function?
Also, I can not add a favicon via the option, I do not understand why. Last one question for the road, which code must be added to create 3 horizontal columns as in portfolio -> Pixelheads?
Sincerely,
Hi,
SEO
I suggest going with Yoast SEO plugin.
Favicon
Should be working fine. Can you send over your WP admin info via the contact form on our profile page and I’ll take a look at it.
3 Columns
It’s done using the columns shortcode. Like this:

Hello,
Very nice theme, thank you.
But for some reason, the Skills animation is not working on my website http://sfilimonov.com
Also I have an odd margin on the right when I view the website on my iPad for instance http://cl.ly/image/172v2t1B153t
Thank you for your assistance in advance.
— Sergey
Hi Sergey,
Yeah, the JavaScript brakes. One of the plugins you are using is doing something plugins and themes should never do, removes the default jQuery WordPress comes with and replace it with a different one.
Not sure which plugin does it but disable one by one until you find the one with the issue.
About the odd spacing issue, can you scroll the page horizontally? I don’t have an iPad so can’t check it out but the info could help me out a lot.
Regards,
Slobodan
Hi Slobodan,
I’ve turned off some unneeded plugins and the two bugs disappeared. Thanks!
Regards, Sergey
Hi Sergey,
Glad to hear it’s sorted out.

Hi, I have a couple of quick questions that you might be able to help me with
1. How can I center the home screen title and tagline text.
2. I would like to bring the social links from the footer up to the header. Ideally I’d like these to be displayed centrally just under the title and tagline text.
Many thanks.
Ben
Hi,
1) I might have misunderstood what you need but here it is:
#tagline { text-align: center; }2) That’s a bit more advanced. You need to create a child theme, copy the footer.php and header.php in there. Remove the function that calls the social icons from footer.php (child theme) and add it in header.php (child theme) and then do some CSS in style.css (of the child theme).
Regards,
Slobodan
Thanks, but the tagline doesn’t seem to center perfectly, is slightly off to the left on a desktop (however its perfect on mobile). Is it something to do with any padding in the header? It appears slightly to the left of the ‘featured projects’ text.
Thanks again Ben
Can you give me the link to your website so I can take a look at the problem?
Regards,
Slobodan

Hi,
I assume you want the same spacing logo to tagline and tagline to navigation, correct?
The logo and tagline are a part of the same container. But you can center it manually by adding a right margin to the logo and text center to tagline, like this:
.home #logo { margin-right: 150px; } .home #tagline { text-align: center; }Regards,
Slobodan
Great thanks! Really appreciate the help.
Ben
This might not be do-able, but I was wondering if its possible to add a parallax scroll to the background? I’ve added an image, been looking at plugins and parallax creators online but none seem to work. Is this something thats possible? No worries if not! Thanks again for all of the help.
