Hi, I’m using aheadworks Popup+ extsion with the Independent theme. The aheadworks Popup is not working properly however with the Independent theme. I’m writing here because I am successfully using the aheadworks Popup ext with a lot of other themes, responsive and non-responsive. No problems at all. Its only with the Independent theme that Popup is not working. Has anyone else figured out why?
Hello. We use our own package “app/design/frontend/meigeetheme” where you can find our default theme, try to move all “aheadworks Popup+ extsion” files into default folder, it should help.
Had already done that from the beginning. Has never worked properly. I think the Independent theme is a great theme but I’ve not had problems with the extension testing any other theme. I noticed that you use the package structure for /meigeetheme while most of the other themes I’ve tested use the theme structure for their themes. Any other suggestion?
I mean into default meigetheme folder (meigetheme/default ). it must help
meigeetheme/default – that’s where I put it originally, and it doesn’t work. My comment above was that I’ve tested the ext with other responsive themes that use default[package]/newthemename[theme] and it works fine. It doesn’t work whenI use the the Independent file structure of meigeetheme[pacakage]/default[theme]. Would your placement of meigeetheme as the [package] in [package]/[theme] be non-standard? I remember reading the rec in the Magento Theme designers guidebook about how to structure a custom theme directory structure.
Please notice that you should integrate code of that extension into theme files.
I’d appreciate a reply from MeigeeTeam on my question above re the aheadworks Popup not working with the MeigeeTeam Independent theme.
As I mentioned above I am using the aheadworks Popup ext on a number of other custom Magento themes (responsive and not-resposive) as well as testing on the base Magento theme. On all themes the Popup ext works fine. Only on the MeigeeTeam Independent theme is this extension NOT WORKING. This makes me think the Independent theme is doing something non-standard in its theme CSS or file structure. I am concerned about doing further development on this current site as I may run into other non-standard issues with the Independent theme.
The details of the problem are:
popup text images display but not in a container box (no box borders or built In close button) and they appear always flush in top left corner of the page regardless of where the admin console positioning is defining

Hello. You can create category called “New arrivals” and select your latest added products to be shown there.

I am wondering can there be two sliders on the home page. Currently, it only has a new product slider which only show one category. Can I append another slider which show another category? Also in the tab box below, can I use slider instead of grid view in every tab?

Hello. Yes, you can add even more sliders. You can show products from specific category of new products.
