Just starting out with Inavado, really impressed with everything so far. Very easy to configure and setup, the home page variations are great. Homepage 7 is perfect for my needs it’s saving me a lot of time.
I don’t normally buy a just released template, I normally wait for a few revisions and the bugs to go away, but Inavado was too good to wait and as far as I can see it’s glitch free and stable right from the start.

So that i can say an image should be 1/3 of a pagem and the rest there should be text, this is just an example
Actually Inovado has no page-builder included, all that you see are shortcodes which you can choose from the visual editor and mix & match to your liking, it’s really easy and the layouts you see in the demo are provided in the documentation for copy&paste.

maybe i should try to build some kind of page with the shortcodes, are there anything indicating that you make a pagebuilder?
Maybe in a future update, have it on my list, but I think with shortcodes you are much more flexible.

Hey there just unzip the package you downloaded and only upload the zip file that is inside the Theme folder, its’ really easy! In the zip file theres also a documentation folder with a detailed description how to install it! So no worries its working 100%

Great theme! Almost missed this one, but am glad I looked deeper! It seems very well made.
I do have a few questions though…
1. Does this theme work well with other wordpress plugins? I know that’s a little vague, but need to make it’s designed to play nice.
I need this to rework our church website, so need a few things that would be common to a church…
2. I need to be able to post our sermons online, with audio player and video…
- I’ve got a plugin that is designed for Sermons, called Series Engine. seriesengine.com
I’m hoping that it will work well with this theme.
I’ve thought about using something else designed to take advatage of custom post types and group them by series…. another plugin that could make that work would be Sermon Manager by wpforchurch.com
3. I’m not sure if there is anything already built into this theme that might accomplish what I need?
I don’t really know for sure, but it almost looks like the portfolio portion of your theme might work…
Create Series that several “posts” or sermons are listed in??? I might give up podcasting if I go that route though….right???

1) + 2) As you expect I can’t give you a clear answer on that. I built the Theme with WP best practices in mind, however there are thousands of plugins on the market to there’s no guarantee that every plugin plays nice.
3) You could take the portfolio cpt for that and rename the slug to whatever you want, also use any iframe embed code to play videos & audio, just be sure that the portfolio cpt looks really beautiful when every post has a featured image as preview

I think it does… I just was looking at a different theme (that I didn’t get) and barely caught that they mentioned in a reply to a question that the theme was NOT compatible with an audio player on the site… I’m so glad I caught that! However, it began to make me wonder if there was something I didn’t know about themes and wp…. Sounds like WP best practices would allow for quality plugins to be used with minimal issue. That’s why I asked!

Although it would be another place to keep updated, it could feed and the portfolio could show it all… Right?
It’s not an all-in-one solution, but would work…and probably really well, I’m thinking…

Hey there, yes the titles can be changed, you can do something like a pseudo-translation, means you translate the english file again with other words, that’s pretty easy just open the file with PoEdit, change the names and save it again.
Well I’m not sure about those plugins, the Portfolio CPT has a textarea where you can post Embed codes from any site, I tested it with Youtube, Vimeo, Soundcloud, DailyMotion, so any embed codes from external sites (most time that are iframe codes) should work very well, and most times those are responsive aswell (looks similar to this for soundcloud: http://inovado.mintithemes.com/this-is-an-audio-post/)

What would be the drawback or cons of doing a pseudo-translation? Would it slow anything down or ever show incorrectly? For some reason I feel like it would be better to actually change the words rather than “cover them up” with different ones…. Am I looking at this wrong? Not familiar at all with “translating”...
Curious, would it work to use a plugin designed to “change custom post types and taxonomies” to make the changes?

Hey there, no translating anything won’t cover or slow down things, it’s just switching the titles with the ones defined and a better practice than changing it directly in the code.
Well there are some CPT Generator Plugins, maybe it’s worth a try, chaning whole cpt’s sounds dangerous, but the proof is in the pudding

Hey there & thanks for your interest. You can easily change the colors for header, title & footer, infobar in the Theme Options Panel, for a completely black version you also have to do some CSS changes.

Well the side menu is a page-template that displays all child pages in a side navigation. The Options are relative clear described directly in the Theme Options Panel, it’s very easy to use.

I get the message “Plugin does not have a valid header” when I try to install both of the required plugins. How do I complete the install?

Hey there,
The invalid header error is a server error, but that’s no problem, just connect via FTP to your server and move the plugins from /wp-content/themes/inovado/framework/plugins/ to /wp-content/plugins/ and unzip them. You now can install them in the Backend under Plugins.

This seems to not be working. I get this message when I try to upload it in the backend using the Plugin upload:
The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature
If I try still clicking on the link on the home screen to install them, it still says the same thing as before.
Please let me know what else I can do, as I need to test a few things before sending something to my client.

Hey Ben, the best thing would be to unzip them and upload the plugins via FTP in /wp-content/plugins/ as described above, that’s the most successfull way of installing them.
