Hi JoomFX,

Is it possible to use the portfolio (style3) as a gallery? So showing just photo’s and using Lightbox to enlarge the photos? I can’t seem to find a gallery page in this template. I would like to keep the sorting options of the portfolio but without the linking to a page with more info, just enlarging the photo as shown on the lightbox page.

Is this possible and how easy is this to upload photo’s to?

Thank you for your interest in InsightFX :)
Unfortunately, opening the Portfolio (style3) image in a Lightbox is not possible. I mean there is no such option by default. The Portfolio is actually a modified version of the Roksprocket Mosaic Module by Rockettheme. It is a free module so you can just download it, install it and play with it:

You can hire a freelancer to implement the Lightbox (that comes with the Template) in the Riksprocket Mosaic Module. I cannot really tell you how difficult it will be because I have never done it.

Is there another way (easier) to build a gallery then? So I can somehow just add images to different galleries? Or will I have to do this using HTML coding?

There are many ways to build a Gallery :)
You can use the Lightbox Plugin (Code) and implement it in a Custom HTML Module or Article. You can also have a look at the following Gallery Extensions:

And you can also search in Google for:

2. “joomla portfolio extension”

And see what is available and what will work best for you :)

Hi, Happy New Year!! you have the great templates !! I have a question, how do I make the setting, in order to give a best view in both mobile and desktop? I tried select “responsive” it will make the desktop view become very narrow, on the other hand, when selected fixed with (I like full width), in mobile view seems has to scroll to the right? (Sorry my mobile can’t connect internet, I am using online tool to help in mobile view).

Or, I have missing something that make both views perfectly.

Hi Michael,

Happy New Year :)
You should use the “Responsive” Layout Mode. This is how the template is supposed to be used and it is optimized for this Layout Mode. If you select “Fixed” Layout Mode, the template is no longer Responsive. It means that you will need to scroll to the right.

The “Responsive” mode is not narrow, not at all :) It is a standard desktop width (1080px). Maybe you are on a very high resolution and that’s why it looks narrow, but have in mind that most of your visitors will be on a small resolution. Also, most of the older websites are 960px or 1000px in width, so InsightFX is not narrow with its 1080px :)

The best thing you can do is to install the Quickstart Package and see how everything is configured.

Anyway, when you run the Joomla Installation you are told that “Error Reporting” must be disabled. This is a Joomla Requirement. On your server “Error Reporting” is not disabled and that’s why you get these warnings :)

You just need to disable the Error Reporting>

1. Login to the Admin Panel
2. Go under “System” -> “Global Configuration” -> “Server” tab
3. Set “Error Reporting” to “None”
4. Clear the Joomla Cache and refresh.

That’s all :)

Anyway, you need to UNZIP the package you download from Themeforest. Then you will find the Installation Instructions in the Documentation (open the “Documentation” folder and double-click on the “index.html” file and the Documentation will open in your browser).

I strongly advise you to install the Quickstart Package (clone of the demo). 99% of the customers purchase Joomla Templates because of the Quickstart Package. They install it and just replace the demo content with theirs :)

Hello I have recently purchased your template and I have a problem to display recent artciles. When I removed your articles and I let mine it creates a 1064 error on the Home page. My new items are not visible. Version: 3.2.0 joomla Have I missed something?

Gantry support RTL and arabic Could you please tell me if the template support RTL and arabic in Joomla 3.2 too ?

Yes, the Gantry Framework supports RTL but InsightFX is not optimized for RTL websites. I haven’t tested it on a RTL website but there will surely be quite some styling adjustments (CSS) that will need to be made :)

I cannot tell you exactly since I have not tested InsightFX in an RTL website. But most of the adjustments will be for some of the elements that have float: lelft; (will need to be changed to float: right;) and for some elements that have text-align: left; (will need to be changed to text-align: right;).

It is possible that very few adjustments will need to be made but it is also possible that more elements will need to be adjusted. I really cannot tell you for sure :)

Anyway, the tables in InsightFX are responsive by default. It depends how they are used.
You can also do columns with HTML – since InsightFX/Gantry supports Bootstrap you can use its markup. Have a look at the following:

That’s why Rockettheme released a new version of the Roksprocket Module which solves this problem.
Once you upgrade to Joomla 3.2.2 you also need to install the latest version of the Roksprocket Module which can be found here:

Hi!

From one day to another the fullscreen google maps isn´t showing. It still is published, so is the plug in. The module even creates the proper space where the map should display, but there is only white.

Do you have any idea why this is? And is there a backend demo of your theme, so I could check your preferences?

I feel pretty dumb asking this, I could always code a form from scratch as an article, but I feel like there’s probably some easy way to do this using the template (which is much preferred, so that it is editable by the client). So here goes…I have more than 1 contact form page, for different purposes. I have created separate “contacts” for them in Joomla because they go to separate addresses…which works fine. The problem is that they don’t need the same fields to show on the page, basically I need to add some fields to whatever template it’s using for each different contact page (currently they seem to all be using the same global template). Is there a way, built into the template or Joomla or Gantry, to add form fields to the contact page that is generated…or do I need to create a custom page (article) and code the form manually?

Regarding your question – unfortunately, no. There is no such option in the Template, Joomla or Gantry that allows you to create custom fields in the Contact Form. But you can always use a 3rd party extension that allows this. Here, have a look at these:

Hello, Can I disable the “© InsightFX. Designed by JoomFX” legend in the bottom of the Template and also is there a way to “dock” the menu so it’s visible at al times just like your TimesFX Template?

Yes, you can easily disable/edit the Copyright Information from the Template Manager. See this screenshot.

Regarding the Menu – no, unfortunately there is no option to make it “fixed” on the top when you scroll as in TimesFX by default.

I’m running a web links checker on it and I see lots of 404 errors related to Ecwid on the following 3 links. 53 if ($doc->getType() == ‘html’) { 54: $doc->addCustomTag(’<link rel=”dns-prefetch” href=”//images-cdn.ecwid.com/”>’); 55 $doc->addCustomTag(’<link rel=”dns-prefetch” href=”//images.ecwid.com/”>’); 56 $doc->addCustomTag(’<link rel=”dns-prefetch” href=”//app.ecwid.com/”>’);

I disabled these plugins. So this is just FYI.

Anyway, thank you for the information. These warnings are totally not related to InsightFX. Actually, the Ecwid shop is integrated in InsightFX by using just one very simple extension developed by the best Joomla Development Company – Rocketthemes. This extension is RokEcwid.

And here are more details about the 3 problematic URLs:

1. http://app.ecwid.com – Ecwid have simply changed the URL structure on their website and this URL is not accessible. This is totally not important and does not cause any issue with the Ecwid Integration.

2. http://images-cdn.ecwid.com – you simply get “403 Forbidden” status. It means you are not allowed to access this URL.

3. http://images.ecwid.com/ – you simply get “403 Forbidden” status. It means you are not allowed to access this URL.

Michael, of course you need to disable the Ecwid Extensions if you are not using it (if you do not have a Shop on your website).

Yes, that’s correct. If you are going to use the template on three different websites/domains you need to purchase 3 licenses.
The easiest way is just to purchase the template 3 times. It will take you 5-10min.
Unfortunately, I cannot generate a Paypal link/transaction for all 3 licenses. I mean, I do not handle the transactions – Envato/Themeforest are responsible for that :)

Hi, is it possible to make the top bar static so that it still appears when scrolling down the page? I saw an example of this example within the Destiny FX template and I am just wondering if it is possible to incorporate this feature onto this template?
