Hello, I´m going to post my question also here because this forum seems to be pretty active. I posted my question yesterday, but sorry to hurry you, we are in a hurry and I´m gettting angy eyes from my boss ;)

I had my contact form in server x where I installed my wp and your inspired theme and the contact form worked great (

[contact-form email=”xxxx@gmail.com”] )

the I moved the site to doamin yyy (same hosting service, just different domain and account) and made sure that in the sql database everything was changed to the new url.

everything seems to be workin, but the contact for does not. I have also tested inspired contact windget but same problem. The contact form says thank you and success but still I never get the email.

Do you have any Idea where the problem could be? www.puuteos.fi

Hi,

I’m testing your theme on a free hosting.

Why I get this with images shortcode?

Warning: getimagesize(http://glanzetta.altervista.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/fattori-posizionamento-motori-di-ricerca-2011.png) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP /1.0 403 Forbidden in /membri2/glanzetta/wp-content/themes/inspired/framework/shortcodes/elementsShortCode.php on line 737

The url is http://glanzetta.altervista.org/fattori-posizionamento-motori-di-ricerca-2011/

Thanks

Hi,

We are really interested in purchasing this theme but had a few questions first.

- Can the slider not be so jumpy? - Is there an easy way to remove the slider? - If there is only one item in the slider, can we hide the slider navigation? - Can we move up the Photo+text area and Our Services to the top of the site, and move the icon+text areas underneath that? - Can we move the latest blog posts into the main Homepage content area, and not in the footer? - Is there a way to add an additional text area with an embedded video from YouTube?

Thanks so much! Rebecca

CurtyCurt

Yes you can adjust the animation and slow it down on the slider or remove it entirely. If only one slide is present, the navigation will hide automatically. You can move all your page elements around however you like, however you will need to be comfortable with shortcodes and a little html to move everything around. Home Layout 2 shows how you can add blog post shortcodes to any page. And you have full control over the html of your pages so adding a youtube embed will be a breeze.

Hi, Beautiful template ;-) What is the font you used for this “Get social with us! ” ? thx

CurtyCurt

Thanks!! :)

Dancing Script is the font to use! It is in the Google Fonts List, so all you have to do is checkmark it from the Typography tab of the admin panel.

Thanks for answering my questions.

Just to clarify about the blog posts in the main homepage area. Is there a way to add the recent blog posts as a shortcode and not as a widget?

Thanks! Rebecca

CurtyCurt

Yes, you can see an example of blog posts being added as a shortcode on Home Layout 2 of the demo.

Hello. I really like your work here. All the users who have purchased your theme have had great things to say about it. I would like to purchase but quick question …

Q. How well is SEO built into your design?

Not too familiar with SEO being built into themes but when a template designer says that their theme is optimize for SEO it seems to be a selling point. Im designing a site where SEO will take up most of my time after publishing.

Thank you!

CurtyCurt

Yes, structurally the theme is setup with Valid HTML 5 and clean markup. So the only other step for SEO will be adding a good SEO plugin from wordpress.org, and creating your page content.

Thanks for your quick replies. Sorry for not being clear. I don’t want to display full width blog posts in the main homepage area – I want to show a narrow list of the latest 3 posts with a square thumbnail (exactly like it is in the footer: http://awesomescreenshot.com/039nzth2d) but in the main area as a shortcode.

CurtyCurt

Oh I see, no that widget is not a shortcode, it was designed for the footer or sidebar widget areas.

Client want “buttons” for menu and text fade-in over slider images. Does Inspired support this?

CurtyCurt

No we don’t offer buttons for menu. You can do text fade-in with the Layer Slider.

I have a few questions before I purchase this theme to make sure I can do what I need to do with it.

1. If not using the video shortcodes, can I just use a Vimeo/YouTube embed code? If so, will the video play in the blog post without going to the video page?

2. I don’t want a slide show. Instead I want to be able to use a graphic and email marketing newsletter sign up box from AWeber. Is that possible?

Thanks in advance for your response.

CurtyCurt

Yes, you can do both of those things with this theme.

Hi,

Do we get Video Tutorials for setting up this site on our WordPress? I really appreciate if you quick reply with link, if any.

Thanks.

CurtyCurt

If you purchase we have video tutorials for creating portfolio sections and layer sliders. The rest of the setup is outlined in the documentation and is very easy if you have ever setup a wordpress site before.

Hi there

I signed up for the forum but it wouldn’t let me view it once logged in :(

My problem is with trying to add widgets to the footer. When I drag widgets over (such as latest tweets) it says the following error: ” Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_detect_encoding() in E:\domains\j\julieeagleton.com\user\htdocs\wp-content\themes\inspired\framework\widgets\global\lib\safe-encode.php on line 4”

Any ideas?

Thanks James

Hi – I purchased “Inspired” through a friends login as Envato was not letting me create an account. I can’t reach the person who has to account the theme was downloaded through. Please help I need access to the forum to complete a clients website today.

The problem that I am having is in regards to setting the Portfolio template and where I set these details (2 column filterable) and the index page? Thanks Andy

CurtyCurt

Unfortunately you must have a purchase license to access the forums.

Hello -

Looks like a great theme… I’m thinking about buying it.

Just one thing…

Can you tell me what kind of options there are for the Icon Hover Animations? I like the icons, but I find the way they zip across the image to be a bit annoying/distracting. Is there a fade-in setting, or some other setting other than the fly-by?

Thanks! -joe

CurtyCurt

If you are ok with javascript you can change the animation easily. Just two or three lines of code, but we dont have different animation options for this via the admin panel.

Hi,

I have a few questions:

  • Does this theme work well together with WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin?
  • Is the theme customizable by theme filters and hooks? For example, I need to hook a function into the theme after the main nav, which will place the breadcrumbs (provided by WordPress SEO plugin)

I prefer to use custom functions in a child theme’s functions.php file. Therefore a theme must contain filters and/or hooks.

Thank you in advance for answering my questions.

Best regards, Rick

CurtyCurt

We haven’t done any testing with Yoast, but if it is well coded you shouldn’t have any conflicts with using it.

If you are good with php and wordpress then hooking in SEO breadcrumbs will be easy for you, no child theme is availale, so you would need to edit the template files directly for these modifications. Doesn’t sound like this is what you are looking for.

Thanks, CurtyCurt

Default-user

Thank you.

If I understand you correctly I can create my own child theme and do modifications there in a functions.php file and by overwriting/editing the theme files?
