We have not tested the theme with any ecommerce functionality. I guess it depends on which plugin you plan to use, most should work. But no in-built support or design.

You can use shortcodes in the WordPress default text widget, so yes. Example: http://demo.wpbandit.com/intent/demo/templates/sidebar-right/ (those in sidebar is in text widget)

Really really nice theme, quick question, does the slider support posts from the blog?
And can you add a recent articles/blog entries to the front page as well as the portfolio items?

The way it works right now is that you upload an image to the front page’s gallery, and there you can add a caption text in the caption field and a link in the description field. There isn’t some auto-built in way for blog posts or portfolio items, as the image sizes are very different.
I like this theme and considering buying it, but as one of the older themes, I am concerned it may be lacking in performance?
The reason is, I see most theme authors claim “WP 3.4.2 compatible” in their updates. That makes me wonder if there may be some deprecated functions being called etc. if a theme wasn’t updated for months.
Can you please ease my mind on this?

It will work just fine with the latest versions of WordPress, nothing to worry about there – we just haven’t updated description since it was submitted.
Is there a way to link the images in the front page banner for style 3? Please advise. Thanks again and I love the template.

The multilingual functions are implemented only in front-end or also in all framework?
Right now front-end, we have plans for the rest as well, but right now it does not exist.
Your themes are very high quality. It would be a great differential to implement multilanguage throughout the system.

Does that mean that a major update is on the way? The only thing holding me back right now is the limited functionality of the slider (no video, html-content)... thinking about combining the theme with a slider plugin like Slider PRO .
There is a big update coming yes, but there are no plans right now to include video+html content in sliders with it.

Just added Categories to the portfolio and that seems to have resolved that.
Yup, that error comes from having no categories, as custom post types have no “Uncategorized” category by default. So you need to create at least one category.

Hi! I’m on the edge of purchasing “Intent” but I’m wondering one thing. On the “Feather” theme I noticed this option for displaying the blog differently:
“Do you want thumbnails and sidebar instead? Feather supports this as well. All you need to do is pick “Show post thumbnails” instead of post formats, and enable the sidebar in admin panel.”
Is this also an option with “Intent”? I’m currently using “Peak” on my website (http://tomshakely.com) and want something fresher, responsive, etc, but I really like the post type + sidebar rather than just thumbnails and excerpts for the blog page.

Regarding the sidebar: you can not disable sidebar so that the posts centers in intent, but you can have an empty sidebar.
As for post formats vs thumbnails, yes that feature is included. So you can pick if you want to show post formats directly on home, or if you want thumbnails+excerpt/full content there, and post format on single page.
