Hello.

The template works without Javascript just fine! The live preview source code has some encryption on it that needs JavaScript to work.

So if you have JavaScript disabled then on the preview page you will see just the contact form, the reason being that I left that part of the source code unencrypted so that potential buyers would get a feel of how the pages are coded, structured and formatted.

Guess you haven’t checked the source code So again no worries, the template included in the download zip will be usable even if Javascript is missing ( without the cool jQuery enhancements of course).

It is a minor issue; in the CSS file the Vcard #container has a margin:150px auto 0; set to bring it to it’s intended position.

I’ll take a look why only IE 7 doesn’t like this and upload the updated version of the download file sometime tomorrow. It should be approved in a day or two.

I’m happy to announce that I have found and fixed the problem!

It was the Internet Explorer 7 position:fixed and margin-top bug. Apparently explorer 7 is unable to calculate a top margin for a ‘position:relative’ div which follows a ‘position:fixed’ one with higher z-index. The second layer will just stick to the top of the page no matter which marin-top you define for it.

The solution was simply moving the fixed div under the relatively positioned one, basically moving one line of code!

I have tested the design with browsershots.org and in many browsers installed locally to make sure no bugs slip through.

What you are reporting does not affect the functionality on the template in any way because it is just an JavaScript visual effect enhancement added in a unobtrusive way.

But I’ll look into this and if I find a bug then I will correct it and have a updated package sent to the reviewers tomorrow. Thank for pointing this possible problem out.

The help file is a html document with both texts and pictures. It is divided into many sections: Folder Structure of the download, Html & CSS and Javascript being the most important for customizing the template.

The Html & CSS part goes step by step on how to customize each section of the vcard and the javascript part goes into detail about what the scripts do and how they are setup to work.

For security reasons I can’t post the whole thing but I’ve made so you can get a feel of how it is written.

I updated the package and it does include a single PSD file of the social media page! I just forgot to update the description. Doing it now. Thanks for the heads up

Yes it is possible to to show videos in the “pop-up” . The template uses a lightbox called FancyBox that also is able to load external pages in the way it opens larger versions of the images.

So what you would have to do is create a page, add the code for the embedded Youtube or Vimeo video and then link to it and give the link the class .lightbox and it will take care of the rest.

Or better yet, if you want perfect control over the pop=up size (for external content it is around 400×300 default) you can add another class .lightbox-video for example with 5 lines of Jquery and give it the exact sizes you want, assuring this way that scrolls don’t appear in the pop-up.

Thanks for the interest in the template! Glad you like it.

If by frame you are referring to the transaprent frame surrounding the Vcard then it is pretty easy to get rid of it.

It is just a layered .png background so all you have to do is to take the un flattened version of it from the sources folder, remove the transparent layer and overwrite the one used in the html.

I can do this for you if you want. Just contact me through the form on my profile page after you buy it ( if you decide to ) and I’ll send you the modified png.

I must disagree, the form work!

In order for the contact form to work, all fields must be filled in.

If they are not, a error message with which field still needs to be filled in will be shown under the contact form. If the email is sent then a green notice message is shown , again, below the contact form.

I checked it in chrome and what seems to happen is that the form is rendered a little bigger (height) so the message is not shown. if you check it with Firefox you’ll see that the message is shown.

I suggest you decrease the textarea’s height from the css:

Upload it to your server, after you change the email in send.php with your own and test it again and see that everything is ok

If you are still not convinced then i suggest you fill in all the filed and send a email with the preview and if you give me your email I’ll forward what you sent through the contact form to you so you can see that it works.

The form works and the message is shown on Chrome as well but what I suspect happens is that because of the differences in rendering between browsers, the contact form has a bigger total height then in Firefox and it pushes the message lower. And since the div they are wrapped in is set to have overflow hidden that’s why it can’t be seen.

Making the textarea’s height smaller (-20px or so) would fix the problem. If you want, send me a message using the contact form on my user page and I will fix it for you without making the textarea smaller, by making the error or success message float left next to the send button

Just got home and was able to check the email. I sent you a reply basically saying that i’m working on the customization.

For the lightbox – the big picture example is 640×550. The lightbox will auto adjust itself to the width and height of each of your full photos.

If you are actually referring to the small thumbnails being the same width and height then you got two options:

1. Make them the same height and let the width be whatever. In this case you might not be able to fit 3 items per line.

2. Make a crop the size of the thumbnail (80×80) from the work.

Yes it is fix height so it would get “cut off” but you can easily work around this by making the social media icons a little smaller.. I could help you with that if needed, just send an email after purchase
