Hi there,

I

I had sent a post 12 days ago regarding the “view all” option. I had answered your question on whether the hosting is on apache or on windows. I have not received the reply till date. Please help me solve the problem. Even before this I had asked some questions regarding the size of the image and that of the slider. I had copied your code from the home page layout examples on to a page and tried. But the sizes of the image and the slider do not match as per the demo. Pl. advice

Cheers!!

Hi there,

1. Windows hosting does not handle well the WP permalinks. Here’s how to hardcode the url into the theme:

Go to the theme’s folder > includes and edit the file named “portfolio_work.php”. On line 5 replace this:

<?php echo $data['portfolio_page_url']; ?>

with your portfolio url (ex. http://your-site.com/portfolio

2. Were the images already uploaded in your site or you’ve uploaded them after installing the theme? You must select the url of the image for “Featured Image” size.

Cheers!

Hello,

I’ve sent you a request through your web form concerning a problem with the slider. I’ve put
tags in the titles, and now I cannot acces the slider anymore (the parts with
will not unfold in the admin).

You have responded through my question, but you forgot to add the attachment to the mail (.i.e. the css archive I need to fix the problem). I have sent you two e-mails since then, but no response so far. This is why I contact you here.

Please send me the css style you stated in your e-mail.

And another question: for some reason, the three columns on http://www.teksthuis.be/wie-zijn-we/ are not aligned. Can you please tell me how to align them in the e-mail you will send with the css?

Thank you!

SkatDesign

Hi there,

1. Please check your email.

2. The columns are not aligned because of the WordPress auto-formatting that inserts additional code in your pages. Try to disable this function and also check the “Html View” of the page to make sure there isn’t any code added besides your own.

Cheers!

Hi, I was wondering what the file permissions should be on all the files and directories. I’m getting an “Error” window pop up every time I “save changes” in the Intuition Options. Not only that, in the Optiions > General settings, I’m getting a notice that “custom_options.css” needs to be writeable, however when I go to click here on the set file permissions link, nothing happens.

So I just need know file permission settings I should use so I don’t get the ERROR messages and notices. Thanks.

SkatDesign

Hi there,

You must set up the permissions for the “custom_styles.css” file via FTP . You must set up either 755 or 777.

Thanks for the quick response, however, how about all the other files/directories, do I need to change any other permissions so I don’t get the “Error!” pop-up window when I “save changes” in any of the intuition options.

SkatDesign

No, that is the only file that needs adjustments.

I’m having an issue with new blog entries. All of my older entries work fine, but now if I create any new blog posts, the sidebar is pushed from the right hand side to the bottom, beneath the body of the entry. I haven’t made any changes to the blog settings. What could be causing this?

Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

Can you send me your url so I can take a look?

Cheers!

Why dont you update the Tempalte after all this feedback to a new version where you fix following:

- Paddings & margins on logo when responsive layout. - Slider lock down issue on first slide. - European characters in contact form. - Translate Contact form without have to go trough source code.

And all other issues.

Hi there,

I’ve sent you a reply for your email.

I cannot fix the logo padding because everybody have different sizes for so it’s better to leave everyone to fix the logo size as they want.

The contact form is translatable from the .po file inside the theme’s folder > lang.

Cheers!

Ok, i translated everything within the .js files. Did not know i could do it in the .po files.

Hi I purchased your Intuition template. If you notice, in the contact form area when the user types a message, the text is white with a black shadow, making it an unfriendly experience. Can you please tell me how to modify the text to be black with no shadow so the user can see what they are typing?

Thanks!

Hi, I wonder how can I make the text without capital letters in the first letter for the sub-menu itens and also for the FAQ questions?

All words are capitalized in the first letter. Is there a style or script we can use to avoid it and where to apply it?

Many thanks for your attention.

Sorry it is regarding toogle not FAQ . Thanks!

Hi there,

Go to your theme options page > Styling and paste this in the “Custom CSS ” box:

.toggle_title {
text-transform: lowercase;
}
.sf-menu li li {
text-transform: lowercase;
}

You can change the “lowercase” attribute with uppercase if you want them all in capital.

Save. Done.

Hello, I have two problem with text format:

1. I can’t do the ordered list (with numbers) with the standard text format button in Wordpress, when I write a text for blog or page.

2. I can’t use the tag “sup” (example: <sup>1</sup>).

Can you help me, please? Thank you!

Paolo

SkatDesign

Hi there.

1. Go to the theme options page > Styling and add this in the “Custom CSS ” box:

.single_post ul, .single_post ol {
list-style: decimal;
}

Save. Done.

2. Go to the theme options page > Styling and add this in the “Custom CSS ” box:

sup {
font-size: 10px;
}

Save. Done.

Cheers!

Paolo_Gentile

Thanks again! I was so taken by the problem that I haven’t considered the option of “Custom CSS ”!

1. It’s ok, it works in all page mode (blog, standard template) but… not in “Full width page”...

2. It doesn’t work properly, because the superscript remains at the same level of text line. So… I’ve add the vertical-align (it works in all page mode):

sup {
font-size: 10px;
vertical-align:top;
}

Cheers!

Hi my latest tweets widget is not working. Do you know how to fix it?

http://www.pharmaconnection.com.br

Best regards!

SkatDesign

Hi there,

It’s due to the Twitter apis being updated. Here’s a quick fix:

Go to the theme’s folder > admin > widgets and edit the file named “latest_tweets.php”. Replace lines 49 and 50 (the old twitter scripts) with the new ones, these:

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://twitter.com/javascripts/blogger.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline.json?callback=twitterCallback2&screen_name=<?php echo $username ?>&count=<?php echo $postcount ?>&include_rts=true"></script>

Save. Done.

Cheers!

Hi there,

Try to reset the theme options and see if it works.

Hello,

I have to comply with EU cookie law so I’d like some explanation why the intuition “Get social” widget (for links out to social sites you have a bottom of you demo) seems to be dropping loads of 3rd party advertising cookies some of which seem to be designed to track for advertising purposes. These won’t help anyone in EU comply with EU cookie law now!

Why is you widget dropping these cookies? It looks a bit sinister but I won’t jump to any conclusions and I’ll ask if there’s a simple explanation?

Addthis Atlas Solutions DoubleClick netmng.com adsrvr.org .p-td.com .fastclick.net .adnxs.com .pubmatic.com .contextweb.com .rubiconproject.com .pixel.rubiconproject.com .go.effec.tv.

thanks, L

SkatDesign

Hi there,

I think the “Add this” script is dropping those cookies. “Add this” is a very well known social bookmarking service. I have no power over their script and what’s leaving behind, but I doubt it drops anything harmful to your computer.

If you don’t want it simply disable the button from the theme options page.

If you have other questions please don’t hesitate to ask me.

Cheers!

Hi,

Thanks for the swift response.

I have disabled to footer social icons now as they drop double click tracking cookies and behavioural advertising cookies including cookies that track your social interaction data and feedback to corporations unknown.

Some cookies are clearly part of addthis as you say, although some cookies like doubleclick and adserv don’t seem to show up on my other addthis usage but i can’t say for sure.

But as a customer I just want to say I would prefer to add my own non-cookie setting links rather than be held responsible for setting tracking cookies for all my visitors for third parties. I did not know I was setting these cookies until I audited and traced it to the social icons bit of the theme. It’s just potential liability under EU law so as nice as it looks I can’t use that feature.

Bye the way, the rest of the theme is fine and dandy. :-)

thanks, Ian

SkatDesign

Hi,

I didn’t know that the social bookmarking script will do this. Anyway, thanks for letting me know.

Oh, and btw, “Add this” is the only thing that could drop cookies. I don’t make use of cookies (with the exception of a javascript cookie that remembers the state of the top sliding panel) in the theme.

Cheers!

Lightbox and portfolio issue. I’ve tried to have a 4 column porfolio as on your demo site but am having problems: First, my image does not show up in the lightbox. 2nd, the two options on the lightbox, view image or go to page with link, the view image option pulls up “Image cannot be loaded. Make sure the path is correct and image exists.” 3rd, when I pull up the portfolio page and click “view item” button the same message appears.

Hello, is there any way to have numbered buttons on the slider rather than radio buttons? Such as in the slider on this website?

SkatDesign

Hi there,

You can paste this in the theme options page > Styling > Custom CSS box:

.flex-control-nav li a {
text-indent: 0;
}

Then, you’ll have to customize the css to look like you want.

Cheers!

I tried the mentioned styling format but still can’t get me portfolio page to show as yours does in the demo. The portfolio page shows style boxes with the title of the item but does not show the image.

SkatDesign

Hi there,

Did you set up a featured image for the item?

Cheers!

One final question. I want to set a feature image for the thumbnail purpose but I don’t the image to a show on the post page. This should be the last question I need in regards to image/thumbnail. Thanks again for all the help and have pointed a few people to your design.

SkatDesign

Hi there,

Let me know if I understood right:

You want to show the image on the blog page (as thumb) but not on the post page?

Hi,

Love the theme. Awesome work! I was wondering how you achieved the testimonial slider on the sidebar of posts. I can’t seem to find an option or widget for this built into the theme.

Thanks, Ash

SkatDesign

Hi there,

Simply create a normal text widget and insert the testimonial shortcode inside.

Cheers!

I’m sorry I wasn’t too clear. I need to set a featured item for my blogs and porfolio pages so they will show on a portfolio page as a thumbnail. When you click the link or page to view the actual post, the featured image shows at the top of the page. I would like to hide that image so it does not show on the page of the acutal post/blog/portfolio.

SkatDesign

Hi there,

For the single post page you can disable the thumbs by going to the theme options page > Blog and disable the option “Display Thumbnail on Blog Single Post”.

For the portfolio single page go to the theme’s folder and edit the file named “single-portfolio_page.php” and remove thise code from line 24 to 35:

<?php if (  (function_exists('has_post_thumbnail')) && (has_post_thumbnail())  ) : /* if post has post thumbnail */ ?>
      <div class="blog_post_thumb">
        <?php
$image_id = get_post_thumbnail_id();
$image_url = wp_get_attachment_image_src($image_id,'blog-thumbs');
$image_url = $image_url[0];
?>
        <img src="<?php echo $image_url; ?>" alt="" title="" width="590" height="240" />
        <span class="img_shadow"> </span>
        </div>
      <?php endif; ?>
      <!-- post thumbnail end-->

Save. Done.

I am not sure where to go for your support. This is the 3rd place I am trying. I purchased the theme last week and I cannot get the features to work.

After I install and loaded the theme, the Toggle and Hover Image effects do not work.

I checked by reloading all the files. All plugins except for the Breadcrumb are turned off.

SkatDesign

Hi there,

Did you contacted me here before?

Can you give me your url so I can take a look?

I tried on the website and on your portfolio. I thought the comments sections might not be a good place. I’ll use this section.

URL : http://www.englishuec.com

Not sure why the javascript (I think thats the problem) isn’t loading. Maybe it is the link. I compared the codes and everything seems to be the same as the files I downloaded.

Rich

I just wanted to confirm that the fix you sent me worked. I am not sure why my host has that problem, but it works now. Thanks for the extra support to get things working right.
