Ok, thank you for your quick answer, but i still do not know, where i can find this Home-Slider menu. Do you mean, that i first have to create a custom navigation menu?

I have followed your instruction in the manual step by step. My problems started at the point:

4.1.1 Slider • Slider Visibility. Fullscreen slideshow, regular or hide the slider on the page. • Effect. Animation effect. • Delay. Select the delay value before slide changing (milliseconds). • Animation Time. Select the duration value of sliding animation (milliseconds). • Slides. Add your images in the slider. Add link (no link if left ”#”), button value and html caption for the slider (h1, p, img).

When i scroll page down to see “Home page settings” section, i cant see this points. The Following Point (4.1.2 Content, 4.1.3 Sidebars, are there, but not the point “4.1.1 Slider”...

Any Ideas, what i´m doing wrong?

Is it possible to have infinite scroll in the portfolio section?

fireform

Hello! Nice idea :) I’ll discuss it with our dev. Most likely, we’ll add this feature in the update.

I want to disable the transparency of the social icons. I have uploaded colored icon png’s but it applies a auto transparency. Also I want to put a light transparent box behind the text on the home slider, since the white text is hard to see when the background has white.

Last thing i added a form builder to the theme but it shows up plain, how do i wrap the theme around it?

fireform

Hello!
1) Breadcrumbs, Social icons, slider caption. Add this in Dashboard > Appearance > Editor:

.ef-social a {
-moz-opacity: 1;
-webkit-opacity: 1;
opacity: 1;
filter: alpha(opacity=100)
}
.main-ctrl-container.ef-breadcrumbs {
padding: 1em 0;
}
#slidecaption h1, #slidecaption p {
background: rgba(0,0,0,0.2)
}

I don’t know what form do you use. And yes, it has it’s own styles which can not be combined with our theme. You need to write styles for it if you want it looks like you need.

Note, I can help you with little customizations, but I can’t modify the whole theme for your needs. Thanks for your understanding! Really hope you appreciate it!

Thanks so much that did the trick for the writing on the slider and the social icons.

I’ll figure out how to do the CSS styling for the contact form, i understand. Also how do I take out the smaller menu under the menu line? The one that goes. Home -> contact us? if thats the breadcurmbs bart it didn’t get ride of them. And how do i get the menu to not come down when i scroll. I don’t need it at all for now. thanks so much in advance!

fireform
Hide menu:
.ef-menu-wrapper.ef-fixed {
display:none!important
}
Maybe I didn’t understand about breadcrumbs. Please, provide a screenshot or something else :)

Thanks for being so helpful. The theme is amazing and a joy to work with. I have implemented the following code to get ride of the bread crumbs (.ef-breadcrumbs .alignright {display:none}) but it leaves a 26px space on the bottom of the page when scrolling showing the background.

Also at the end of the home full page slider under the caption I’m able to insert a image, which is a button but it does not allow me to make it into a link. I would like to use my button instead of the regular one.

I tried your solution of ” You need to paste your link in the first field, then write button text in second. Please, look on the screenshot http://cloud.evgenyfireform.com/image/1R2h090F240d ” But I get an image button that does not link and a button under that from the theme that i don’t want.

Also the h1 text on the home slider is too big an it bunches when you input a lot of text please see link for both examples. http://darkstarapps.com/homebutton.png

Hi there,

I am trying to add a button and addition image to one of my slides on the homepage, but no image or button appears. I can only get the H1 and p to show up… Any code or short code I input to create a button or second image in the text field does not display. How do I add a button or image in addition to the main image of the slider?

Thank you, Matt

Thanks for the quick reply! But I did what you said, and I’m still not seeing the image or button. Here is the site I am working on: http://new2.fishnetmedia.com/. And here is a screen shot of what I entered into the fields: http://new2.fishnetmedia.com/wp-content/themes/jad/images/screenshot.png

Please advise. Thanks! Matt

fireform

I got it :) You are using regular slider which only has ability to add a link to image. You can add button only in fullscreen slider. But I’ll discuss your problem with our dev soon.

Okay. Thanks again for your quick reply. Please let me know if your dev is able to figure out a solution for using the buttons/images for the regular slider.

Hi,

Beautiful theme! I would like to use the theme as a blog or magazine. Two questions:

1. On the homepage, can the photos/images in the full-screen slider be linked to blog posts and/or pages as with a traditional WP slider?

2. Can the homepage be configured to display the Blog with a right-hand sidebar beneath the full-screen slider?

Thanks!

Bodhi

fireform

Hello!
1) Yes
2) Yes, but it will looks like blog page without slider

Hi there,

is it possible to change the color of the text of the home-slider? Or giving it a dark shadows, so that the readability is besser on a light/white background?

Thanks in advance

fireform

Hello!
Theoretically, the script should determine what color to use for the caption and menu. I think that is not so smooth, and I should discuss with the developer the possibility of introducing color picker or field for manual setting up.

same question for me; your demo text of main menu seems to change luminosity according to bg image, may be? If yes, how to set this property. Thanks in advance.

I’m sorry, it does the same work for me already. So the problem is exactly the same as KeyvanH; to get more contrast for main menu text.

fireform, you nailed it with this one. there a very clever features within this theme. 1) i appreciate you starting the mobile view “earlier” than other themes do. so even if youre using a netbook it already shows mobile view. easpecially with 11’’, 16:9 monitors it makes a lot of sense. 2) the theme is clearly and very neatly structured 3) portfolio filter works fast and it fits perfectly with its boxed optic 4) team meber shortcodes look good as well

But to understand the capabilities of the theme a bit more, please let me ask a few q’s 1) how would a fullwidth blog list (classic or hybrid view) look like. is there an option to reduce/increase the number of columns at hybrid blog list view? 2) does the theme allow pagespecific header backgrounds? as this would this seize on the effect of the start page full site slider – will you consider to implement it in further updates?

thanks and all the best,

ohc

fireform

Hello!
Thank you very much for an objectivity :) Very glad you like our theme!
1) All blog layouts you can see in our demo :)
2) Our theme allows you to set individual backgrounds for each page. For each page you can also upload multiple images, which would change each time the page is reloaded.

Hi Evgeny,

I’m trying to help my friend with editing his portfolio using this theme, I was wondering if you could provide me with some guidance on how to edit the main navigation menu. Me and my friend both dislike the original designs for the rounded main navigation menu and the fairly large gray padding they receive on hover as they create an overlap which is interfering with the user experience, blocking out navigation items partially. Therefor I would really like to align the main menu item with the sub-menu items and straighten them out on each side and remove the padding on the top. This so that all the menu items are are as wide as the sub-menu items, but after inspecting and editing a few things in the style.css I cannot seem to find the div styles that actually create this wide gray menu area with its padding around the main navigation list item. Any hints will be much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Marnix

fireform

Hello!
There are a lot of modifications I can’t provide and I really hope you understand me.
Suggestion: you need to check all about .sf-menu and nested classes in jad/css/style.css.

Congratulations: the theme is very elegant! I want to buy it to update the current one. But I have a couple of questions: 1) it is possible to introduce navigation “previous – next” in the blog post, and post the portfolio? otherwise navigate from one article to another is too complicated and discouraged from looking at the other articles.

2) it is possible to introduce the social buttons in the blog post (like the “I like”) and the portfolio?

Thank you! Alan Venzi

fireform

Thank you!
1) No, this type of navigation is not avaliable in our theme. But I can refine how easy to add this from the developer.
2) You can use some social plugin for that.

Evgeny

reply for 1) Thank you! I am interested in understanding how to add this navigation inside the template. If it helps I’m willing to pay in order to understand how to make this change.

I uploaded colored PNG social icons they only show up white. how do i fix this?

fireform

Hello!
Social icons contain white and dark versions in one png file. You can use Sliced PSDs/social-icons.psd as a blank for your icon. This was made to get the right result on dark and light images.
