Having a strange problem: For some reason, on my Home page, I am getting stuff added below the closing body and html tags.
I reuploaded the entire theme again and it still remains. So I’m working off a fresh install of the theme.
I also turned off all of the plugins to see if that caused an issue. Nothing changed.
I’m wondering if it has something to do with the fact that I had content on the front page initially as part of my old design. I deleted that though.
I’m lost.

I had a different page set as the home page. I didn’t realize I had to have the blog set as the front page. All fine now.
Figured it out. I had a Page set as the home page. So instead of the index template, it was using the page template and sticking the wrapper et al below the closing html tag…

It will need to edit PHP code which I don’t recommend unless you have a very good experience on PHP programming.

You have to edit portfolio files in /templates folder and /lib/widgets.lib.php

I really dig the design of your theme.
However, I’m trying to set up a child theme for a client and am running into problems. Have you had any other reports of child theme issues?
In paricular:
1) The site seems to run slower. 2) With wp-debug turned on, I get the following: “Notice: Undefined index: activated in /data/20/2/22/149/2511638/user/2751207/htdocs/wp-content/themes/Jai/functions.php on line 536” 3) At the top of the page (before doctype even), it says “http://www.catchtheculture.com/wp-content/themes/[my_child_theme_folder]” 4) the homepage slider doesn’t load
Commenting out lines 536-538 fixes #2 but nothing else.
I’m starting to think that a child theme just isn’t going to work, but I’d like to hear from you whether this is expected. If so, I’m pretty disappointed.

I have the Jai popular post widget on my homepage. Whenever I add a new post, the order of posts seem random (not sure how they are currently sorted but not by published date or alphabetical). How do I ensure the latest post is always at the top of the list? Is this a Jai or a Wordpress setting?

I found this template very hard to customize and use. After looking for 3 horus for the blog roll class and asking another developer to help me (I thought I was losing it) I gave up. I wouldn’t recommend this template.
Did you read theme manual?
