What an awesome theme! My client loves it and I found the way way you put it all together to be unique and interesting.
Tonight I ran into a strange issue. On the James theme options page, none of the buttons that change a variable work, as in yo roll over them, get the little outline hover effect, but clicking doesn’t do anything. These are the buttons like Add a Slide, Delete a Slide, Upload Image, etc.
The stranger thing is that just underneath each option page is a “Save Changes” button and they all work fine. I’ve never seen this before.
Measures I’ve taken: Disabled all plugins, reinstalled Wordpress, checked the issue on multiple browsers and PC’s, Macs and iPads. The problem is always there.
If you can think of anything that might be causing this, please let me know.

i can’t manage to get bricks showing up. made all as described in manual, exept: ”...Now you can go to the James admin panel and select beneath “portfolio” what type you want the portfolio to be….”
“portfolio” i can nowhere find…?
and when i try to upload the featured image, it always puts it in my normal page window and doesn’t say anything or anywhere something about “featured image”...?
would be nice when you can help. thank you!
found it! ...just in this moment i found the small “save as featured image” within the upload window. that was it!

Hi, pls forgive my ignorance, I am trying to build my wordpress website and I have purchased this lovely theme but when I am trying to do it in wordpress dashboard, I couldn’t understand it. I don’t understand how to edit, upload things. Is it not possible to just edit what’s on the James preview? Do you have a step by step tutorial on how to build exactly like the one on preview only of course using my own photos? I am sooo frustrated. Please can someone guide me..? HELP PLEASE !

The theme comes with a manual, which you’ve downloaded with the theme. You also can activate ’’dummy content’’ to help you to get going. Please go to your dashboard. Click Appearance / James / General. Down at the General page you can activate dummy content. You also can consider to hire us. Look at our site for more details.

Theme James is great ! But how do I update the theme from 1.1 to 1.3.

so far so good, but in wordpress if i want to install the updated version it will say,install failed folder already exist, When i upload the zipfile in de folder Themes and try to unpack it,filemng failed: filemng: Error during unpacking of /var/www/vhosts/eaphotography.nl//httpdocs/wp-content/themes//James.zip

This is not a feature of the theme: Look for stylesheet” black.css ( we advice to use Firebug to check the code) Here you will find the colors you can change.

hi, is this theme compatible with wordpress 3.3.1 i researched and some people having trouble with in attaching pictures to posts.
i guess buttons not working and the writing letters is white colored.

Yes this theme is compatible with wp 3.3.1. Most people that have problems with attaching pictures have very less knowledge of building Wordpress themes. We receive very little support requests for theme James.
