i am having trouble figuring out a way to add the slider images on a post.. I read the manual and it says that its been done with short codes, but i am not able to implement shortcodes since i dont have the “J” as an option on my wordpress project post page…

Hi iacovou, we don’t face this issue in version 1.5 and have no problems what so ever, but our developer is looking into this, because someone else has the same issue.

I’m trying to add pictures for variation product in woocomerce. After adding the pictures to the gallery, I click “Insert gallery” and nothing happen. What’s happening?

Hello, Unfortunately I don’t see the “J” icon too. Please let us know what should we do to use short codes and where they are. The folder “shortcodes” is empty.

Please do not write here in themeforest that James template package includes Layered PSD. It does NOT!

And it is really not worth 55$! If you buy it you do not receive the same result as you can see on James demo website. I really wanted to buy James theme not the quasi one that doesn’t work properly!

This theme is certainly worth $55. Sold many times and we received many, many compliments and less complaints. But, in 1.5 there occurred a bug, which we are fixing. Expect to update after the weekend.

I am telling them for weeks that the shortcodes folder is empty and we cannot see the “J” icon but they ignore it with some absurd replies. There other others in theme-dutch website forum with the same complaint but no clear answer. It was a waist of money and we will the website we were working on with another theme… Unbelievable!

Hi Steve, The James theme is a great theme and already sold many times. We have received a lots of compliments from our clients. We did not faced these issues in V1.5. Our developer has been working on it past week and we expect we can upload it again after the weekend and hopefully right away.

You say you did not face these issues we report. Others users here and in your forum report the same issue. You promise for early this month that you will release the new version. We bought this template because we liked it… but we cannot use it because the bugs you try to fix and also because the shortcodes folder when we download the version 1.5 here is empty and we cannot see the icon “j”. Yes, really it is great theme and we cannot use it… Any ideas about the shortcodes? How can you see the icon “j” and use them and we cannot… and especially when we follow your instructions! We are waiting for a solution from mid-December.

Hi,

The hover function can be find in Appearance > James > FONTS

But what about the Active function? For the viewing page be in a different color or style so user can have a point of reference of their emplacement in the website, which is very important and a common function found on websites.

Hi Skyvan87, please make sure you still run on WP 3.4. All functions can be found at Appearance / James > admin. Other functions are on the iconbar j on pages posts. We’re working on an update for this theme right now. Thanks, Themedutch

OK that might explain why some features doesn’t work, like the background galleries and product variation pictures in Shop section?

If I’m on 3.5, can I simply install over 3.4 over 3.5 or I need to start from scratch? When the update will be available? Thank you

The most save way is to downlaod it again and install it on 3.4. We are working hard to come up with our updates on short notice. Also interviewing applicants to speed up the services. Thanks, Helen

Great, I reinstalled on 3.4. However, the gallery background is not working on the Shop page from woocommerce plugin when it works on other pages not related with the ecommerce. What happen? Because on your demo theme, it does work.

Thank you for the reply? I have a business that uses this theme and it it now a non-functioning site which means…you guessed it… loss of revenue. I have purchased lots of themes from you and have been very happy. So again I ask, We all know you are working on it, but do you have an estimated amount of time? i.e. 1 week, a month…

My clients don’t like the we are working on it answer. Please try to be a little more specific.

Yes we know you are working on it. So why you are writing it every time someone wants to now the exact date? You do not have any limits of time, any deadline to do that update? How is it possible? I will look for another theme and wish to receive my money back. I wonder why they increased the price from 45 to 55 $ before the update…It has no sense…

I wonder when they will run out of excuses :)))) I think all of us purchased the theme should contact themeforest and request money back for it,.... asking the question WHEN clearly doesn’t work because they are feeding the customers with the same BS answer “we are working on it…...” I don’t know about the rest of the people who purchased that theme but i already lost several potential clients because i can not show the potential of this theme!!! Themeforest should block the sales until developers will issue the update for it. This template is worth absolutely nothing if we can’t use to the full extent! Do you guys agree?

We are waiting nearly two months for assistance to the problem we and others have with shortcodes. We followed their instructions but no solution. We finally had to buy another theme to do our work. And we did. Once again, what a waste of money and a theme concept. Themeforest can we have our money back?

When will this be resolved? I to am broken by this. If you download and install on a current word press there are a lot of issues.

I would strongly advise against purchasing this theme until this issue has been resolved. Also if you are using this commercially I would be very concerned about the support. having your vendor make a breaking change and then not fix it is not good for business.

ThemeDutch I strongly suggest you either refund people or get a fix out ASAP. This is not good for business.

OMG people still waiting. They were promising in their forum and here by mid December they will fix the problem with a new version. Yes, Themeforest, we want our money back if ThemeDutch cannot fix the defects. Enough promises for two and half months. What business is this?

1/ Why there is a blank on the right side of my screen (in brick mode) even in your demo and how to figure it out in the css style

2/ is there a way to get a filter mode on the HP

3/ ANy chance to have a responsive theme in the future?

Wow I have been looking at this theme for a long time, i first noticed with the black background. I planned on purchasing today, luckily I read the comments. I am sorry you guys are having such a hard time. I was excited about buying this theme. I am a layman and would need support so I don’t think this one is going to work for me. I am really sad, now I have to start looking for a new template.

I just wrote in another thread the same question everyone in here already asked. I think it’d be better saying something more precise than simply postponing month by month any statement. It was December when I asked some info about upgrade to WP 3.5 receiving same promises I found here. You’d better to reconsider your priorities, gents.

my question: what is difference between Regular Licence and Extended Licence ,people is how to choose? Can support chinese font?

Hello tosfocus2, If you buy a regular license, you’re able to use a theme on 1 url. If you buy an extended license, you can use 1 theme on several domains. This theme supports Google fonts, but if you actually mean this theme can be translated then the answer is yes.
