Hi,

I have a question.

I see that you have restrict content pro, Woo Commerce listing.

As per my understanding all accept payments.

Say if i purchase woo commerce plugin do i still need to purchase Restrict Content Pro??

How does can you please guide me?

I need to buy the plugin now.

Guidance will help.

Thanks

Astoundify

Restrict Content Pro allows you to restrict access to pages based on a certain time frame. So if you want to charge $10 for 30 days access to the submission form, with unlimited submissions, RCP would be great for that.

If you want to charge $10 for a fixed number of submissions over any amount of time, WC Paid Listings would be what you want.

Hope that helps.

Default-user

Thank you.. i figured it already.. went ahead with WC paid listing

Default-user

:) installed and setup done too.. i just love this theme :)

Astoundify

Pre-purchase questions:

1) Is there user roles? Like: – Job seeker – Company

2) Can I set the region to be for a specific country only?

3) Can I set my own Categories? Can I also add Sub-categories in a Category

4) How come when I click on the dropdown arrows (ex. Job Types) it doesn’t work, instead I need to click inside the field

5) Will I need to buy other plug-ins to enable base listing fees? or is it available to set in the backend?

6) Is there a way for a company to add files, example their own application letter formats files?

7) Is there a way to show that a job position is already filled except in the jobs page? Or when job is filled remove it from the listings

Thanks!

Astoundify

1. Currently no, but as more addons are developed that take into account different actions, they might be added. This would be done at the plugin level though, so since we are not the developers, we cannot say for sure.

2. Not sure what you mean. You can define which regions can be selected from (if you are talking about using https://github.com/astoundify/wp-job-manager-locations

3. Yes you can create your own categories just like standard WordPress Post categories. There is no support for sub categories though (this is a limitation of the plugin).

4. What browser are you using?

5. Yes, if you want a single price and single listing duration you can use http://mikejolley.com/projects/wp-job-manager/add-ons/simple-paid-listings/

6. Not by default, but the WP Job Manager plugin is very extensible, so you could have something developed. We provide some sample code for adding more fields to the submission process: https://github.com/astoundify/wp-job-manager-fields

7. If a job is marked filled it will show when viewing the job, or you have the option to not include them in the listings.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the response. for #4 I’m using Firefox latest version

Astoundify

Okay thanks, we’ll look into this.

Astoundify

Hello, we just wanted to let you know that the most requested feature for Jobify has arrived! Jobify has been updated to include complete support for Mike Jolley’s Resume Manager. Now users of your site can submit their resume to be browsed and viewed by potential employers.

Once you see active resumes on Jobify or view the submission page we know you’ll love this update as much as we do.

Thanks, Adam.

Hi, looks good… couple of questions:

01 – can i offer a service where companies can pay (via paypal) to add jobs to my site (if so can you explain the process please and what is required)

02 – is it possible to change the map banner to an image on the home page

Astoundify

1. Yes, there are a variety of methods you can use to achieve different results. Please see the first three items here: http://astoundify.com/documentation/jobify/#recommended-plugins-18

A quick overview:

  • WooCommerce Paid Listings: Create “job packages” that limit the number of jobs that can be posted, and determine the duration of the listing.
  • Simple Paid Listings: Charge a single set price for a single set listing time for a single listing.
  • Restrict Content Pro: Create subscription access to the submission page allowing unlimited subscriptions for a single set time over a set period of time.

2. Yes! The map is simply a widget, so you could replace that area with the Soliquoy slider plugin, and only add one slide.

Hope that helps!

Thanks, that is excellent… will buy this theme next week for sure

Hi,

Pre purchase question

Does the application support Adsense and advert placement ?

Astoundify

There is nothing built in, but there are hooks in place, or code could be added via a child theme.

Default-user

what types of child theme and code. Pls, I want to buy a job theme that supports ad

Astoundify

Where do you want to place ads?

Default-user

at the right/left side

Astoundify

There is nothing built in as I mentioned before, but it would be relatively easy to do if you know HTML/CSS. If not we recommend a site like http://werkpress.com or http://microlancer.com

Default-user

thanks for the response, wouldn’t plugin like google ad master provide such service with the board theme ?

Cannot stress enough how unhappy I am with this theme and particularly the lack of help from “support”.

Sorry to say but as nice as this theme looks in the demo – it is FULL of bugs and glitches.

Logo must be a tiny 200px x 44px or it won’t respond to mobile devices.

Mobile menu is white text on white background.

Company logos get cropped to 75% width but the answer from support – “wow that’s strange”.

As for support – non-existant. When you ask for help, you generally get a reply “what is your url” or “that is strange, did u change this or that”, then when you reply “my url is example.com and no I didn’t change anything at all”, your support people vanish.

Astoundify

We are sorry you feel this way. What is your username on our forum and I’ll be sure to make sure your issues are fixed. Thanks!

Hi, i have a few questions:

01 – is it possible to control the location of the map… my users are based from different areas around the UK so i don’t want to show a full map of the UK as it won’t look right but i would like to be able to control the map so that each user can filter the map to their area

02 – is it possible to search a location on the map so that when the new search page loads, all of the pins for that area show on the map?

Astoundify

1. There is no user-specific control, but you can set a default center point and zoom level.

2. Yes you can search by location on the map. Or do you mean something else?

Default-user

Thanks, i mean if a user searches ‘London’ on the map search will the page reload with all of the pins in the London area?

Astoundify

The page doesn’t reload, the map will refresh automatically with all jobs with a location of “London”

Default-user

ok great, i will buy the theme then based on this :-)

Hi There,

Just some pre-sell questions.

How many maximum job post that we can set it to show on the ‘Home page’ and ‘All Jobs page’ (before we have to click to see more)?

How many featured jobs that we can set it to show on the ‘Home page’ and ‘All Jobs page’?

Are the featured jobs ALWAYS on the top of the list or we can set the position for it? (I see it’s always on the top of the list on ‘All Jobs page’, but it’s NOT on ‘Home page’.)

Can we add/remove or rename job type?

Can we remove job type check-box at the bottom of the search fields? (Maybe we have only one job type like an only freelance job type in a web for freelancer.)

Can we add some fields in a job posting page?

Can we set a main menu to link to any pages we want?

Does a footer work with other standard WordPress widget?

Can we add/remove or edit any fields in contact form?

Is it hard to translate a text on a page to another language? (I mean in technical term, not how hard to translate a language.)

Can we change the font?

Thank you. I will be your customer for sure. Really Nice theme.

Default-user

One more question please, what is job alert function? What does it work for?

Thanks again.

Astoundify

1. There is no maximum, this is controlled in the WP Job Manager settings.

2/3. The “Job Spotlight” if this is what you are referring to rotates through featured jobs and shows one at a time. Standard job listings will show all featured jobs in the normal order, they will just be highlighted.

4/5. Yes, these are customizable just like standard WordPress tags/categories. Yes, this could be hidden with CSS.

5. Yes, this theme uses WordPress’s built in Menu Management system.

6. Yes, there should be support for all default widgets.

7. Yes, you can use any contact form you want for standard contact forms, and if you want you can buy Gravity Forms to accept emails on job listings.

8. No, you can translate like any other theme or plugin.

9. Yes, via CSS you can customize the fonts.

Hope that helps!

Hello,

The demo looks good, however I have a few questions:

1) Is it possible to remove the map from the home page and place a custom slide show? 2) The ‘Login’ function doesn’t seem to make provision for new account registration. Maybe I just haven’t located this?

Thanks.

Astoundify

1. Yes, you can remove the map and replace it with a slider like we have in our other demo: http://demo.astoundify.com/jobify-darker

2. We can definitely look into adding a registration link in the future. Thanks for the heads up!

Hello,

Firstly, well done on the great theme! I am strongly considering purchasing it shortly.

I’ve noticed what appears to be a minor glitch on the mobile version though: the menu text is invisible.

Please let me know when this has been fixed. Thanks.

Astoundify

We plan on releasing a new version either today or tomorrow that will fix this issue.

Hi Astoundify,

Just a quick question – is the Map part of the WP Job Manager plugin, or a widget created by the theme?

Hope to hear from you soon,

Astoundify

The map is a widget created by the theme. Let us know if you have any more questions!

I need help changing the theme… I want the logo to take all the 114px height on the header instead of 44px. There is space I dont need (above and below the logo).

I know i can just upload a 114px long logo but then it will stretch the menu and it becomes ugly.

i tried to put a false value on the strech part from the custom header editor but it didnt do a thing

That is why it is so tiny. An assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys! Pre purchase question: is there any way to place a system of reviews in each issue? I think guide freelance jobs and need something of an idea of ??the reputation of individuals -assuming you can edit the categories, eg instead of “part-time” put “service” – (I am not developer, but I work with one)

Astoundify

There is nothing built directly for this purpose, but there are review plugins, etc of this sort of thing that you could check out.

Categories can be edited just like normal WordPress categories.

Pre-purchase question.

I’ve seen a login button, which seems quite nice, as obviously having just anyone accessing your files would be quite unpleasant. Is there a way of making a logout button? If so, how?

Sorry for bad english :x!

Astoundify

Yes there is a way to create a logout button and the solution to this is on our forums, once purchased you will have access to this knowledge on our support forum.

Is it possible to have the search results displayed as a list once we click search in the homepage?

In the demo, it currently displays the options in the map.

Astoundify

Not when you click search in the map. You can use a standard list output like http://demo.astoundify.com/jobify-simplistic/

Default-user

Is there a way to have both displayed in the same page with a single search click?

The map would stay in its place, and the list would appear below.

Astoundify

No, the two things act independently of each other, sorry.

Default-user

Its ok then, but it would be great to implement this on the future.

I have a suggestion/question
  • Are there any plans of adding an in-site job-application form? So when the user clicks apply, he would be prompted to a contact form where he could add a resume along with his data.

Is there a way to import jobs from linkedin and indeed? I love the design of this theme but I’m looking for a way to populate jobs while our clients haven’t added any yet.

Astoundify

There currently aren’t any importers available, sorry. Something we may consider creating in the future as a plugin though (no guarantee at all though).

We include the dummy content so you can set up a site just like our demo so the clients can see what it would look like with content.
