What a refreshingly unique theme! Will be buying soon.
Thanks for the kind words, truly appreciated! And also glad you like it. Hope you will buy and enjoy your new theme.
Hey guys. This theme supports spanish version? My audience is speaks spanish:)
Yes Journal is translation ready. So you can use it with any language
Hello. I just purchased this theme – it looked clean, simple—just what I was looking for. However, on activating it, I just see a big white block where the text post would go on the black background. When it loads briefly, I see the left nav is there but the white box covers any navigation to the left. How do I fix this? Happens in both firefox and chrome.
And yes, I uploaded the xml and data files but it does not display properly.

Hi – love the theme!
1. Is it possible to have a fixed width for the menu sidebar so it doesn’t stretch out so far when I view the theme in a wide browser window?
2. What’s missing when viewed on IE8?
We’re glad you like our theme.
1. Sidebar has a fixed width currently. Also Journal created based on 1170px grid system and it doesn’t stretch out after 1170px width.
2. Journal supports only modern browsers (IE9+, Safari, Chrome, Opera, Firefox etc.)
beautiful theme. Just bought and installed, but I am getting two error messages:
AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE:
Warning: Illegal string offset ‘url’ in /home/dave813/public_html/wp-content/themes/journal/header.php on line 26
OVER THE WORD JOURNAL IN SIDEBAR:
Warning: Illegal string offset ‘url’ in /home/dave813/public_html/wp-content/themes/journal/sidebar.php on line
Please help!! How can I fix?
Thanks for purchasing our theme. Could you please update your theme with the latest version of Journal? Because we’ve fixed that issue. But if you are still facing with that problem, please register to our support forum and create a topic. We will be happy to help you!
Hello I bought the template. I am getting two prevalent error lines on the site they appear on the top and above the Journal logo:
“Warning: Illegal string offset ‘url’ in /home/content/30/2057030/html/wp-content/themes/journal/header.php on line 26
Warning: Illegal string offset ‘url’ in /home/content/30/2057030/html/wp-content/themes/journal/sidebar.php on line 17”
I just downloaded it so I am not sure the issue, I saw someone else in hear faced something similar.
Also, on customize I don’t see where to adjust the background image.
Thanks for purchasing our theme.

By the way you can adjust the background image by ‘Theme Settings > Theme Style Settings’.
I bought the template, nice
Only one question: is there a way to create a classic menu (for example a menu on black background and withe backround for the rest of the blog) instead a fullscreen image as background?

We are going to add some other social share icons in the next update. Do you have any specific social platform that you want us to add?

We’re willing to release the new update next week.
thats great, ill buy today and start building, then ill be able to update it when the update arrives?
Yes of course! You can update your theme when the update is released. Thank you!
Is there a way to configure this theme to change the URL as someone scrolls like http://qz.com/ does?
And is there a way to have a sign up using Facebook and Twitter?
^^ wow, that\s cool, getting ready to hit purchase on Journal and noticed that
will check back later and see what author says about it, would be awesome if it can accomplished!
ok bought it, but the link for Zilla Likes Plugin leads to a 404 page.
Did a google search and is not certain which one is required.
or this one
or this one?
Also, I already had a blog so I did not import demo content.
I did however install the theme in a brand new database on my server and DID import the demo content so I could follow and change things accordingly on my own site. So far, I have been unable to make most things work, even though I have copied the settings for each page, post and reading settings exactly.
Is re-reading the documentation and attempting to see what I may have missed. I really hope I do not have to re-create every single post, that would be just a tad too much. Not giving up yet, back to salt mines, but would like to know about the Zilla.
First of all, thanks for purchasing our theme! You need this one: http://www.themezilla.com/plugins/zillalikes/
darn! that was FAST ! Thank you!
has one more quick questiion, is there a setting I need( missed ) to enable the archive dropdowns like in the demo? Mine are not working, none of the dropdowns

I signed up on the support forum, made my support post, and suddenly the lightbulb went off after doing so. Isn’t that always the way it goes ? I answered my own issue.
The support post may be closed and I thank you for a very nice theme and the time I seem to have wasted for you.

I just downloaded your theme and wanted to install it, but it says that the styles.css is missing. Please help me!
Hey there, you need to unzip download package and try to install only “journal.zip” file via your WordPress dashboard.
thanks… now I feel stupid It worked, though! Looking forward to work with your beautiful theme and thank you for the quick answer!
No problem at all! We’re glad heard that everything works fine
